My name is Pam (Harper) Horst and I am the owner of PAMS PATH TO TRAVEL. I have been in the travel industry since August, 1990, helping clients plan both business and vacation travel. I love what I do and know that I do it very well. My ultimate goal is simple-​to exceed my clients expectations! To ensure this, I maintain the highest level of professionalism in all my interactions and I engage in continual education so my ability to personalize each travel experience is maximized.

Personalized service and attention to detail are two things you deserve when planning your dream vacation-​my goal is to see that you are completely satisfied with your travel experience from the planning stages all the way through the time when you return home. I can help you travel the world. I am also experienced and am able to assist you with your destination wedding, family or school reunion trip, church or special interest focused group travel.

History

Established in 2005.

Pams Path to Travel has been in business since 2005; however, owner Pam Harper Horst has been in the Travel Business since 1990. When you entrust your travel planning with Pams Path to Travel, you are putting faith in 20+ years of experience of planning both vacation and corporate travel!

I have been working in the Travel Industry since August 1990. I started out as a front line agent at a store front agency, was promoted to Assistant Manager and left that agency to pursue other opportunities. I worked in-​house at two corporate locations, I became an Independent Contractor with two agencies while building my clientele and eventually branched out to open up my own agency.

I travel 3 – 4 times per year so that I can keep up to date with the places that I sell the most. I love to cruise, so as a result I tend to send people on a lot of cruises, but I also book many trips to the fun in the sun destinations; as well as, other places all over the world.

Pam helped my husband and I plan our honeymoon and was an absolute delight to work with. When we first chatted with her we gave her an overview of what type of honeymoond we wanted and she was extremely knowledgeable on options for the type of year, our budget, what we wanted to do, etc. We absolutely plan to work with her again when we plan our next trip!

Pam helped us out with a trip to Hawaii we took this year on Sept. 2013. She did a fantastic job getting the perfect package together for me and my family. Made recommendations that helped make the trip a more affordable for us as well, since we are on a budget. We will definitely use her services again when we gather enough funds to travel again. I just finished planning my first-​ever cruise to Alaska with my two kids, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with Pam. During my initial research, I have to admit that I was tempted to go for the lowest price offered through Costco Travel. But as much as I’m a fan of shopping at Costco, I’m so glad I didn’t.
Pam offers so much more than a wholesale-​priced package: She’s incredibly responsive, ultra-​friendly, terrific with details, and impeccably professional. And she represents the best that a small travel agency can offer — true customer service and wide-​ranging insights into the vacation experience that I would never get from one of the Costco phone reps. (And wouldn’t you know it: When Pam booked my cruise, she said all of the gratuities were included!)
She took the time to patiently answer my gazillion questions, including the benefits of various cabin types, mid-​ship placement to minimize the effects of motion sickness, and feedback about various excursions. One of the biggest timesavers was Pam’s skill for searching through all of the cruise line options and zero in on exactly what I needed, based on my preferences — something that would have taken me way too long to do.
In short, Pam is *AMAZING*. :)

Pam has been my personal travel agent for 21 years! My very first travel booking with her was for my honeymoon in Cancun in 1991 when she first started her career. Since then she has helped me with my travel to Club Med in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, a Caribbean cruise, a Mexican Riviera cruise, an all-​inclusive trip to St. Lucia, another one in the Riviera Maya, Mexico and a few other shorter trips.
I highly recommend Pam! She is keen on specifics and ultra organized. She has always given me more information than I thought I needed which is good because either prior to or during a trip that info comes in handy as I’ve learned with past experience. Whenever I’ve needed information or rates, she’s always returned my calls in a timely manner and never left me hanging.
She is very well informed on cruises, destinations and resorts and therefore trust her information and recommendations. She adds her own personal touch especially if one of our trips includes a special celebration. I remember her having chocolate covered strawberries in our cabin as we arrived on our cruise and a bottle of wine or champagne served at dinner wishing me happy birthday on a resort trip. She my personal travel agent for life. Now my entire family goes to her for their travel needs as well as many of my friends.

I found Pam thanks to previous Unilocal reviews and just wanted to echo what other reviewers have said — more than anything you are usually booking a trip later than you should be and Pam works fast. When I started working with her I was convinced I wanted to go to an all-​inclusive in the Caribbean and she worked with me for a week to understand the various needs for three families with children of different ages and make and refine recommendations. Then I did a complete about face after seeing an Aulani Hawaii advertisement and she seamlessly switched to making arrangements for that hotel for the holidays and within 24-​hours it was booked. I emailed her questions about resort facilities and transportation both before holiday and while on holiday and she researched all of them and got back to me promptly. I am glad to have found someone that I can rely on to help plan vacations!

When I told Pam I wanted to go on a cruise to the Caribbean, she jumped into action and had pricing for the cruise, flights and hotel in no time! I had never been on a cruise before and she walked me through all the steps of getting ready for it.
She surprised us with chocolate covered strawberries too. Simply amazing. I will definitely use Pam’s services again.

My Family and I decided to take a last minute trip to Hawaii within the next 30 days. I called many Travel Agencies which all said they would call me back within 30 – 40 or next day (which never did) since I hadn’t heard from anyone I was ready to give up. I came on Unilocal and found Pams Path to Travel, I called her in the evening. She return my call within hours. Gave her all my information on the trip. She said she would get back to me in the morning the next day. To my surprise she had everything ready by late afternoon! Two days after my vacation was booked with everything I had asked! Out of all the agencies Pam herself was quick and professional. I will definitely use her agency again. Thank you Pam! :)
