We’ve always been very happy with Dr. Cowan’s care of our dogs & cat these many years. When Dr. Stiglich led the team last year in our bully dog’s surgery — hysterectomy & removal of huge polyps — her expertise, commitment, and sincere love & appreciation of our girl was/​is exceptional. We have FULL confidence in our girl getting the very best care from her and her team!

We started to use their services about a year ago when we got our first dog. They are very professional, appointments are always on time. Staff is very patient and always ready to help, you can tell that they really love animals. We are happy that we fond this place, our dog is never afraid to go there.

I cannot recommend Whipple Avenue Pet Hospital and Dr. Stiglich highly enough. I have taken both my dog and my cat there and been treated so well and given excellent service as well as medical care for my pets. My cat has a complicated and difficult to diagnose condition. Dr. Stiglich was thorough in checking her out and recommending several options. She answered all my questions and also helped me make a decision.
The technicians are friendly and fast and also very polite and the clinic is clean. It’s also very evident that everyone who works there loves all animals and cares for every single one that walks in the door.
What I have been most appreciative about and what keeps me coming back is the thorough information they give me. I always get enough information about all treatment options that I am able to make the best decision for my pets and my wallet with no pressure.

I took my very sick cat to Whipple Ave Pet Hospital. The entire staff treated me and my sick cat very well. I had to put my baby to sleep and it was very hard — I was grateful for the compassion and caring from all the staff.
I felt the vet that examined my cat was not only compassionate, but thorough and competent. I have two more cats and this is where I will take them — whether it be for routine care or something serious.

Dr. Cowan gone. New owner won’t let you get flea medicine without an examination. Go to PetVet at Pet Food Express for your flea medicine. This place is too expensive and too into making money.

Be quite cautious about going here. This was the first place we took my new pup Initially, I thought they were okay, but as time went on, I realized I was being taken advantage of. The first time I had my dog’s teeth cleaned, they were a reasonable price. However, the next time, the price increased by hundreds of dollars! I also looked at having my dog spade at Whipple, and they were hundreds of dollars more than their competitors. When I finally moved to another vet for all our needs, Whipple Pet Hospital wouldn’t give us the treatment records. It was a mess. I will never go back.

Words and stars cannot fully express my gratitude for the folks at Whipple Street Vet. They showed us the upmost in compassion with diagnosis and treatment of our beloved 12 year Golden, Mason. When it became evident that Mason’s cancer was in its final stages, they went out of their way to schedule an after hours appointment to help with Mason’s transition. They treated him with such kindness and love that I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone in need of pet care.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and on time — what more can you ask for in a vet office? We just moved to the area and needed to get our dog licensed and vaccinated so it was perfect that we could make a same-​week appointment. The office was quiet — which is a huge plus when you’ve been in a vet’s waiting room with seemingly dozens of dogs and cats and total chaos! Will definitely be making this our permanent vet.

I’ve taken my animals to many different vets over the years, but Whipple Avenue Pet Hospital is truly, the best of the best. Why? Well, the staff is friendly, professional, helpful, and the office is clean and runs efficiently. The ambiance is calm and soothing and my dogs seem to pick up on this right away. Dr. Stiglich is extremely knowledgable and compassionate and my pets just love her. Her natural affinity for animals is evident in the way she handles their care and you truly couldn’t ask for a nicer, wiser person. You might even spot her own little therapy dog, Guido, helping with patient and human care.
Should you get Dr. Peters, rest assured she is also an amazing caregiver who exudes a well-​justified confidence in all elements of patient care. She had the unfortunate job of giving me bad news and handled that with such candor and kindness. I feel a personal debt of gratitude to her that she did not take advantage of me when my cat was sick and hit me with a bunch of pointless tests.
Everything in this practice is centered on what is best for my animals but without the manipulation that some vets engage in around care. I feel like I can ask an honest question and get an honest answer. It is a strange feeling to «trust» your vet, but I’m learning to really LIKE the feeling.

Dr. Cyndi is the absolute best! I always bring both of my dogs in, even if only one has an appt because they love coming here! They are always happy to see her and her staff! I love how she always goes above and beyond to take care Cooper and Cosmo. Thank you to all the staff at Whipple Ave Pet Hospital!

both my chihuahuas come here for their nail trim. i’ve only used their nail trim service so not sure if this review is helpful for those seeking their medical reviews however, i will tell you that one of my dogs do NOT like to be touched AT ALL and the staff here seems to be able to work around that nicely.

Very compassionate vet. I can’t remember her name, but she treated my cat so well. We’ve had very bad experiences with other vets, but you can tell she cared about my cat’s feelings, and made him try to feel comfortable.
We went back to take our shy and fearful dog as well. She also was super good with him, and did not force anything upon him he wasn’t ready for.
I like this place because we never felt pressured to do certain procedures. Other vets I’ve been to I feel try to run their place like a business, versus trying to be in tune with the animals and help them the best way possible.

always friendly, always knowledgeable. There were a few negative reviews, and they make no sense to me. The entire clinic staff is great. It’s the perfect place for your primary, continuity care for your pet. They answer all questions (even my novice, stupid ones) with patience and even gave my wild puppy a chew toy to take home when she was particularly rowdy (which she thoroughly enjoyed – thanks!)

I just brought my two cats here for the first time, and had an extremely pleasant experience. Starting with the phone call to make my appointment all the way till I left the office. I’ve been going to another vet for over 15 years loved the other place till they were purchased and It was never the same. I looked for a smaller clinic for the longest time. Whipple vet hospital was just what I was looking for, professional kind people whom I felt actually cared about my pet. Spoke to me about my pets behavior, eating habits, teeth, etc. I just felt it was a overall more thurogh exam. Where as the place I’m use to going to never did that.

I have to admit that after the unusual experience I had with the secretary/​receptionist, I thought of the option of moving my pets to another vet. clinic. But then Dr. Peters called me to follow up Harley’s recovery and she answered all of my questions very detailed just as Dr. Cowan does, that I recalled how great these doctors are.
Honestly we all have one of those or a couple of those bad days and maybe the person on the other side of the phone was having a bad day.
I went back for a refill and I felt the same welcoming smile and friendly hello of the receptionist, so definitely that who ever was on the other side of the phone was having a bad day. This is a very homey clinic, I like the old school where you know them and they know you. You don’t have to deal with a different doctor each time, this is a totally personalized clinic. I really like it.

We had a kitten named Yoda who had several medical problems his first year of life which took us to 4 different vets and 2 specialists in the area over the course of 1 year; this is hands down the best vet clinic in the area. We were at the vet a lot and were treated with care and love from the moment we walked in the door by Cory and Michelle who were kind and gentle and loved Yoda as their own, to Dr. Stiglich who tried everything under her power to help him get well. They LOVE animals and care about getting them well. They are also extremely fair when it comes to billing. I felt I was swindled at many other vet places in the area by having to run tests that didn’t amount to anything, but not here. If you are looking for a vet – look no further. You and your animal will be treated with compassion and warmth and you will be billed fairly; what more could you ask for in a vet?

I brought my best friend in for a check up and dental consultation. Dr. Stiglich is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and she was excellent with my normally antisocial shiba. She seems to really care about her patients and their owners and was willing to answer all of my questions.
I was quoted for an estimate on the dental cleaning, and it seemed a little high to me. I decided to look around and found a more affordable option across the bay, but I still intend on returning here for annual checkups as she is just too good a vet.

An abandoned kitty adopted me and became my child. In love, I give her full access to my bed and living quarters. Unfortunately, lately shes been scratching herself til bleeding.
She obsessively scratched, bit and licked herself all day and night for weeks until one day I decided enough is enough. I was afraid that the fees would be outrageous; Im a student. When I called I was pleasantly surprised at the exam fee. I made an appointment and brought my baby in.
Caring staff. My selective, skittish kitty took to the Dr. quickly which surprised me as well. I found out lil baby has an allergy to fleas causing dermatitis along with the scabbing. They clipped her nails for me first, cleared thick allergy induced discharge from her ears, checked her ear canals and mouth and gave me a quote for the rest of the services, to which I agreed to proceed. They took her in the other room and gave her an oral month-​long flea medication, steroid injection, and tapeworm medication. I’ve taken her home and although she appears to be drowsy, which antihistamines tend to do, she has not scratched one time.
Everything including the nail clipping and exam fee was under 150 dollars. They also sent me with a measuring cup to ration her food portions because she is a little overweight. I can already tell she’s feeling better as she’s curled up on my chest sleeping right now. I will be back for any further treatments she may need.

We have finally found a vet we like! Ever since we lost our first vet, we’ve been reluctant and were never really invested in the pet hospital we went to last year that has recently decided to merge with another. Oh well, Redwood Pet Hospital– bon voyage!
Earlier today was our first visit. Our kitty, Ares has these gnarly infected irritations on his back paw areas. Dr. Stiglich thoroughly checked him out, saw his paws and came to the conclusion that he indeed has infections and with a course of antibiotics and a shot of cortisone– it will heal up. Only thing is– he has to wear a cone! Poor dude. He’s so unhappy but we know it’s for the best. It prevents him from continuous licking and biting.
Anyway, we’ll definitely be back with our other furry children and keep Dr. Stiglich as our vet!

I have a soulmate and that soulmate is a cat.
The bad news is that that soulmate is very sick.
The good news is that we’ve been lucky enough to find vets who care and are willing to do the work in order to get him the help he needs across several state lines.
I turned to Whipple Avenue Pet Hospital after seeing their glowing reviews and just getting a good feeling after just a few moments on the phone with their kind receptionist. You could tell that the people here care and I’d just have to have faith that they could back it up with the know-​how for treating my littlest dude.
I was able to book an appointment on a day and time that worked with my schedule and Whipple Avenue did all the work in contacting my previous out-​of-​state vet to get all the background info and miles-​long medical history.
The office is nothing to write home about and nothing about it is state of the art or fancy, but based on what I paid for the exam, a blood test, and 2-​months of medication, I have to believe that they pass the savings on to the patient/​customer. For everything we got (including a full hour of face time with the wonderful Dr Stiglich), the cost of everything was only a fraction of what it would have been with any of my previous vets.
Dr Stiglich wasn’t especially warm, but she made up for that in her genuine concern and that it was obvious that she’d taken the time to go over Homer’s history prior to our appointment, make notes, and have suggestions ready. Plus, my little dude loved her face pets, so there’s that.
We left with on good note as far as any bill of health is concerned and I really appreciated their flexibility in prescribing his meds for an extended period of time so I don’t have to come back in every few weeks to get more.
I was really nervous about finding the right vet for the love of my life, but can rest easy having found Dr Stiglich and the whole Whipple Ave Pet Hospital team.
