Woodside Gas and Shop

Customer service is horrendous. I don’t know why the cashier was in such a rage. Perhaps because the card swipers don’t work properly at the tanks so he has more work than he had bargained for. Or perhaps he has uncontrolled blood pressure. The man, who looks to be from India, with the name tag «Jorge», was very aggravated and rude to customers, even on the beautiful Sunday morning of my purchase. The card swiper on the gas tank wasn’t working so I had to go inside for the cashier to swipe for me. Maybe he was already mad for some reason, before I arrived, as and he was outside, watching the cars line up for gas. I got the sense that I was bothering him because the swiper was out of order and because of me, this darn customer, he had to go to the cashier stand. Then, after the transaction swipe when I preauthorized $ 40, he threw the debit card at me. I asked him why he did that, and he said if I don’t like it, I can go somewhere else. I told him not to be like that, to calm down. So he calmed down, and I went to the car. In the meantime, my husband, outside, had been trying to get the pump to work. The cashier came out to see what was wrong. My husband asked was there a trick to getting the pump to work, because he wasn’t wearing his glasses, and when the cashier saw me there with him, he told my husband that he had «waited too long» and that he had to initiate the pump again (wow, that was fast, really?), and added that he had already told me, that I can leave! (He probably forgot to initiate it in the first place.) Then we filled up and the total price was $ 36.44 but by then I was so fearful of this raging fellow, that we left without asking for an adjustment to the $ 40 price I preauthorized. I sure hope that this fellow is ok, perhaps he just was without his medicine, but he was certainly not the right person for that job. I will not return as a customer because I am fearful of this person, in case he is the owner or a family member of the owner, I certainly understand that he is probably not employable elsewhere, and he is probably stuck there, but I will choose to go elsewhere from now on.

Good n bad. let me start with good first because i dont want any business to get hurt. Gas is really cheap as compare to area.

Customer service is not good. I told the employee that your open sign is not on. He said dont worry about it man., door is open. I was surprised with his reaction. He was mad at me for this. Then i asked for restroom keys. He was counting my change at that time. I asked again. He said i cant do 2 things at time which was rude according to me. God blesshim though

My check engine light came on after using this gasoline. Trouble code was for knocking/​misfires. It’s cheap, but your engine won’t thank you.

I’ve been going to Woodside Gas & Shop (a bit out of my way) for over a year because they consistently offer the best cash price for diesel. Plus the guys behind the busy counter are always wearing a smile and add to the overall experience. The shop is small but a definite perk, mostly offering cold drinks and snacks.
