I have been coming to Kimo’s for the last 8 years. The $ 10 wash is the way to go here. Hand dried and trouble spots are taken care of by hand! You can’t beat that at only 10 bucks. The other night I visited and they were using turtle wax to keep the tunnel clean and free of «gross looking grime» as one of the employees said. That’s pretty awesome for a car wash. The vacuums are always in top working order and the wash bays are an excellent alternative to the tunnel wash. I used to use them all the time to get the mud off of my jeep after a storm. The waving gorilla outside has become a town legend. The owner’s wife gives him a different costume for every season and holiday. Things like this make it obvious that quality and customer satisfaction is at the top of the list for this establishment.

So I’m super-busy and haven’t washed my car in weeeeks. I also live and work in an agriculturally-rich(dusty-dirty-pesticide-sprayed) area. I also park my car under a tree at home. I also have a bird problem at home. I also have driven to and from L.A., and average about 100 miles a day. I also(er, my car also) got egged a couple weeks ago. Yes, just imagine the shame. So, when the man at Kimo’s asked me, «Are you SURE?» after I opted for the second car wash option(out of three levels), I knew he wasn’t just trying to be rude. I needed THEWORKS. For $ 10 my car came out sparkly clean AND hand-dried! Yes! I even saw them bring out a couple spray bottles to get some tough spots. Seriously… all for $ 10. Of COURSE I had to tip ‘em… SO definitely worth it!!!
