They have no fitting room(which an employee told me is a corporate policy) but their return policy IS no hassle, which I like. You also can occasionally find basics and things that look decent. It probably works better if you are not a 0⁄2 clothing size. They do have their own plus sized section so it’s definitely not a store catering to the model physique. Employees at this one were friendly enough & I didn’t have to check my bag to shop here so those are pluses.

This rainbow store is pretty small compared to he rainbow in rockaway beach or the branches I’ve visited in manhattan the quality of the clothes here are ok for the proc and I’ve found some pretty stylish blazers and leather casual bags for a fairly low price. The basement level of the store is the sale and plus size section which usually don’t have a lot of stylish clothes. The push up bras are good quality and cheap too.

This Rainbow is tiny for what I’m used to. I used to work at another location and there was a lot of selection, all the time. I did find some gems in the sale section though.

This is not a joke. Five stars for Rainbow Shops in Rego Park. You don’t exactly think of five stars when you think of Rainbow in Queens(or even Manhattan) do you? I’m telling you. Have an open mind and a little faith in these low end stores like Rainbow, Strawberry, and Charlotte Russe. You just may find what you are looking for. I have searched high and low for some waterproof shoes. My Totes brand boots didn’t make it through this season and I needed something now since we are expecting snow again this week. I went to DSW, Century 21, Shoe Mania, Paragon, Macy’s, Kohls, etc. I didn’t have a problem finding shoes. The problem was that since it is practically Spring season, what is being sold in the stores is the tail end of the stock. You got big feet or small feet? I don’t. I have feet that are sorta in the middle and of course, no one has that size left. I got a bunch of suggestions to purchase shoes online but I like to try on shoes before buying them and I’m not too familiar with the shoe brands to know what would fit me. Stella D recommended Rainbow since they are the type of store that always has those Wellies knock offs. I did find a few cute rainboots that were, of course, not my size. In addition to that I happened to pull one box which was my size. They weren’t rainboots but they were waterproof shoes. They’re these cute hightops decorated in graffiti. Hilariously, they are knock off Chucks and instead of a Converse C on them they have an R. I will totally rock these shoes and my feet will stay dry. I am so happy my search for shoes is over. Rainbow has all sorts of trendy pieces. The clothes are not made well but if you just need an accent piece or something basic, you can definitely find what you are looking for at Rainbow. Just keep in mind that it’s a wear once or twice type of place. Disposable clothing for the disposable income. There are two levels at Rainbow. The basement is the sale section. There’s really nothing good down there. We did see a «Kill Bill» tracksuit. If you’re looking for a retro Halloween outfit this year, head to the Rainbow basement. Service is good at Rainbow and it is a pain free shopping experience. The other customers in the store were on the older side. Everyone was reminiscing how they used to shop at Rainbow when they were in college. Nothings really changed. You can walk out of there with a whole outfit for less than $ 20. Fun times and I didn’t even have to break open my piggy bank.
