The Bobbie is great don’t get me wrong, but if you are looking to get any other type of sandwich, just forget it! I got a meatball sub & the effort put into it was sad. It was so dry, absolutely no marinara! And the bready was soggy! Gross!

Just tried to call in a pick up order, I called twice and both times the phone was picked up and immediately hung up with No hello or anything. I figured they were busy and went down to the store to place my order. I was greeted by an employee in the parking lot and he said that they had run out of bread. How does a sandwich shop run out of bread??? I could see running out of turkey or pastrami, but bread. It’s Sunday and the place was packed. Its too bad the manager can’t make enough bread let alone manage to pick up the phone. A part of me wanted to place an order online just to make a point but I didn’t. Good sandwiches, and a big mismanaged failure on their part. I’m enjoying my Jimmy Johns as I speak.

Food is really good but customer service is trash. Rude cashiers, no one answers the phone, all around useless staff. The Stanford and McCarran location is way better.

Came here for takeout because we were in a rush but craving subs. We decided on this over Jimmy johns. I walked in and stood in line behind four or five people. The wait was long, clocking in over 10 minutes. I ordered a large and medium turkey slaw be jo. Note: check the sizes when you order! The medium here is a large at most sub shops. A medium 12″ will come cut in half, which I cut into quarters and shared with two other people. After all the wait, I dig in and… the sandwich I received was actually a tuna slaw be jo. I don’t even know how that happens. It’s not something that’s on the menu, and it’s not like tuna looks or goes on like turkey. I double checked my receipt, and it said turkey. I don’t know how I got tuna, but it wasn’t awful at least. Luckily I like tuna, I just usually don’t order it because it’s usually not good. This one was dry. I wouldn’t choose it again. Their speed of service doesn’t compare to jimmy’s. But the people working here were nicer than they have been at jj’s so that counts for something. Just be ready to wait or order online. Or, order delivery within two miles!

The Bobbie is a must. One of the best things about them is their helpings are huge! Most the time I could split a small with someone. I wish they made delivery a little easier but a great place to grab a bite to eat.

The philly cheese is delicious and the sandwiches are huge! I usually order delivery to the salon I work at and the delivery times vary from 15 – 45 minutes. I only order when I know I have a decent sizes lunch break. My only suggestion is to fix the online delivery service. I am a HUGE fan of online ordering, especially since ordering ahead of time is usually an option and I can make sure my lunch arrives right when I have a break or slightly before. Their online ordering says that they don’t deliver to the address I entered which is off Wells right off I-80, pretty close to their shop. This is silly since I can call in an order and they always deliver to my address. I’ve never checked if I can call in an order to be delivered at a certain time . The delivery person is always friendly and nice as well as the staff that answers the phone.

So being originally from Maryland and constantly visiting relatives in Delaware I remember always eating hoagies from Casapulla’s from Elsmere, DE. I also remembered a place called Capriotti’s which is also located in Wilmington, DE. When I got word we had one in Reno out of all places I had to go and see for myself and I’m happy to report that not a thing has changed. Now that I know that one of two of my beloved sandwhich shops are right here in Reno I’ll continue the family tradition. That said these are the best hoagies on the west coast and they simply can’t be beat. Try ‘em and you’ll see exactly what I mean. Thanks for being in Reno!

Working in EMS, you’re never guaranteed to get to eat. Being posted at Saint Mary’s and with only a mile radius allowed to venture doesn’t leave many places at all, until Capriotti’s opened up this location awhile back. What’s nice about this place is when the employees see us coming, they do their best to get our food out in a timely manner. Today my partner and I rolled the dice to see if the EMS God would shine down on us and allow us to grab food before getting dropped a «call» or a 911 from dispatch… and today, the odds were in our favor! Nothing beats their Cheesesteak. The bread is never stale, the mushrooms are always cooked perfectly and the hot peppers really give it a kick, and the cheese is always melted, making this all in all a perfect sandwich to grab on the go, and really hits the spot. As an employee handed me my sandwich, we hear…“Medic 36, taking traffic” which means a call hit… but we smiled because we had gotten our food knowing we would have something to eat after, and as we walked out all the employees said together, «Thank you for your service!» Which was awesome and appreciated

No soggy Subway sandwiches for us! Thank you fellow Unilocalers for clueing me into this Reno fave. I took a quick five minute walk from my hotel to get sandwiches for our bus trip home. Justin helped me out and he was warm and efficient. The store was clean especially the sandwich making area. I was happy with our selections. My man got an Italian sub which he devoured, the kidlet got a ham and cheese(Kid’s meal comes with chips of choice and juice box or water bottle), and I got a turkey sandwich with everything. Even the bread used was delicious. Those red peppers: Now that’s a not-so-secret sauce! I will definitely be returning when in town.

Yet again, forgot part of our order. Actually forgot 40% of our order! How do you mistake 5 sandwiches for only 3? Tried to get a free one or a discount since we had to drive all the way there and back TWICE, but they were completely unwilling, and didn’t even offer a simple«sorry». However, the food is good — specifically the Cran Slam Club.

Capriotti’s makes delicious sandwiches. My boyfriend swears by their meatball sub, and I swear by their turkey sub. Lots of meat, delicious bread, and all the fixings you want. And the sandwiches are huge! I usually can’t finish my small sub. Daring folks can try some of their unique sandwiches, like the Bobbie(turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mayo). I tried it once and it didn’t do it for me. But it might for you! The employees, especially the old guy with cool glasses who often takes orders, are very friendly and the open kitchen allows one to see that the sandwich makers are doing their jobs well. There is so much light that comes in through the south and west windows! It makes for a very pleasant lunch-time dining experience. That it’s walking distance from UNR is also a plus. Why three stars rather than four? The parking lot is quite small, with room for only about 11 cars. Parking can be a hassle if one can’t park in the lot or find a spot on Sierra. Sometimes it can take a long time(10 minutes) for the sandwiches to be made at lunchtime. I know in the grand scheme of things 10 minutes is not too long, but one doesn’t have to wait that long at Subway… I haven’t yet tried their cookie with a brownie inside(or is it a brownie with a cookie inside?), but one day when I am feeling like treating myself, I will!

Capriotti’s is an odd sandwich experience. They put things like thanksgiving meals inside of a sub. Their weird combination of sub sandwiches can either be a unique dining experience, or a flop. For me, I’ve never really enjoyed their sandwiches. Maybe I am more of a traditional sandwich person. However, I’ve given Capriotti’s a few chances with some basic sub ingredients and have yet to be impressed. Their pastrami sub with coleslaw is unique and I didn’t find it to be too bad. There isn’t really anything exceptional about their service, location, or food quality. One nice thing is that they do offer catering. However, last time I was in, all of my colleagues and I ended up with food poisoning. Yikes!

This is the for the roast beef sandwich there. It was 1/8″ of roast beef, and the rest was lettuce, tomato, thin slice of cheese, pickles, etc. on the normal large torpedo roll. This sandwich was over $ 9 with tax plus I tipped. I would never EVER order this sandwich again. The roast beef is homemade and just okay, nothing to spectacular in the flavor department, and it was so out of balance with the meat to everything else ratio. and the VALUE stunk, SOEEKMETHINKSNOT! This is quite shocking to receive so little meat, when for the same price you can order a Philly Cheese-Steak, which usually has a good amount of steak. I don’t tend to take kindly to feeling shorted, so my days at this location are done!

Honestly felt like giving them 4 stars was too little… Such great food and awesome customer service! They get everything done in a timely manner, and are super friendly. They were out of wild cherry pepsi, and happily changed it when I informed them. The restaurant as a whole was very clean. Also really stylish.(I never notice something like that.) I’ve heard great reviews and just never came in… But tonight I left home in a HANGRY fit and decided this was where I was going to go. Best choice! I’m currently eating my cheese steak sandwich with sweet peppers and mushrooms, and I’m in love. If they didn’t close, I probably wouldn’t leave.

I love this place. One of the best sandwich chains. I don’t care what anyone says, I’d make this a choice whenever I’m in reno. The sandwiches are filled full of goodness. The customer service is great and the orders come out really quick. What more can I say to get you to come in and order a capistrami or bobbie? Just go already!

That Bobbie tho. Bread, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and turkey. Simple and fantastic. I was a little bothered that it was a cold sandwich rather than a warm one, but I quickly forgave it for that. I like to think of myself as a bit of a binge eater, but a foot long sub from Capriotti’s is even for two to share. For comparison, I can easily eat two of Subways footlongs in a sitting. The difference here is that Capriotti’s absolutely loads their subs with fillings, so yeah, one footlong is easily shareable. On top of that, the prices are super reasonable. Capriotti’s is not only one of the best chains I’ve ever eaten at, but one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten period… and did I mention that I don’t really even care all that much for turkey? No? Welp, I’ve said enough.

Caps is one of the best sandwich shops in town. Correction, it’s one of the best sandwich shops in the State of Nevada. I first stumbled upon Capriotti’s when I lived in Vegas. A co-worker suggested this sandwich shop on Sahara by the 15. Why not? I went there and they had a fair amount of options to choose from. I went with their suggestion, the Bobbie. I was lucky that I got in before the lunch crowd. By the time I got my sandwich, people were starting to pile in. I only waited about 3 minutes minutes! Fast forward and I moved back to Reno. Capriotti’s opened up here and the one I opt for is by UNR. Within walking distance of my office. I’ve tried their Philly Cheese steak sandwich in addition to the Bobbie. Both very good. But, I’ve found when you get a sandwich which isn’t mass produced, it may take a few minutes longer. Service is always friendly and fast. Food preparation is fairly fast and fairly consistent. Every once in a while, you may end up waiting on a large order. Store environment. Generally kept clean. Things can get a bit messy during their rush our. At which point, all bets are off. Standing room only and very noisy. But, if you time it right and get your order in before the lunch crunch, you will be sitting pretty in a booth rather than the curb outside. Now, what is the Bobbie? It’s a Thanksgiving dinner made into a sub sandwich! Their turkey is fresh roasted and shredded for this sandwich. Along with fresh bread stuffing and cranberry sauce. It’s great anytime of year!!! The Bobbie is my favorite sandwich from Capriotti’s. — — — — — — — — — – The Bottom Line Yes! No questions asked. I will come back here again and again.
