This storage facility is a joke due to the disorganized nut job Kathy that sits in the office. She looked me in the face on the day I moved out and told me I would be sent a refund for the remaining days that I had prepaid for in that month, and that she would not cash the check that my bank had already sent. I told her specifically that I had called the bank and asked them to stop the check from being sent for late June/​July, and that they were not able to stop the check from being mailed, but that they had canceled it. I specifically told her this and asked her to make sure that the check was destroyed or returned to me. She assured me that when she received the checks, she checks the computer to see what the person owes and would then see that I had already moved out and that they would not deposit the check. She said her bookkeeper would mail me a check for the remainder of the current paid month that had been unused. Instead, they sent me a check for a full month and then left me an irate voicemail when my check (the one I told Kathy was stopped) did not clear. She said they had stopped payment on their check and that I now owed them money. Instead of recalling the conversation when I reminded her or being honest, the woman argued with me and then began hanging up on me and refusing to speak to me. This was very upsetting, although it would have been much more upsetting if I had opened and deposited their check already. Fortunately they only owed me for a partial month and since I had not deposited their bad check, I guess at this moment it’s mostly their problem. Do not do business with this place and do not especially make any verbal arrangements with them because they will definitely screw it up. This woman Kathy has obviously fried her brain at some point in life which is probably why she spends way too much telling customers awkward personal business about her numerous husbands and car problems and wrought iron collecting and other bizarre issues instead of keeping it simple and businesslike.
Buyer beware, and watch your back doing business with this lady! Never mind the mouse problem, which they’re aware of & accept as if it’s perfectly normal. The person is the real problem here! She obviously forgot our conversation as soon as we had it and did not communicate with the bookkeeper about it as promised because in her mind as soon as it was over it was as if hasn’t happened. Too bad for them, because I would have recommended them with caveat for all their weirdness or even used them again if I had a need in the area if not for this bad experience at the end.
Kathy, you’re cutting off your nose to spite your face and your business practices are shortsighted, stupid, and unprofessional. I will let all the Burners, Nevada residents, truck drivers and other business people that I know not to use your business and I won’t be back for my storage needs so you cost yourself more then whatever you think this argument was about today (I wonder if you’re going to ever be able to come up with the accurate figure that you originally owed me instead of a check for a full month? Somehow I doubt it.)
