Flex Appeal

I live very close to Flex Appeal, and joined before they opened. I generally go at 5am, and somewhat see the same nice people all the time. I’m really into cycling so I enjoy the spin classes (and the quality bikes). My wife recently bought me 3 sessions with a trainer named Melanie Redding. I didn’t feel that I needed a trainer, but I’m really glad it happened. She listened to my goals and set up 3 workouts that focused on strengthening my imbalances from always mountain biking. Not only that, but she was always in a great mood, into cool sports like rock climbing, and we’d laugh throughout the session. This place is clean, modern, and highly recommended.

With as many check ins as I have, I guess it’s time to finally post my review for Flex Appeal. To be honest, even with five stars, I still miss my old Anytime Fitness on Longley, but the location just didn’t work for me anymore. And I’m literally one of those people that if I get stuck at a traffic light too long, I’ll use it as an excuse not to go to the gym. Hey, no judgement!
So when Flex Appeal opened around the corner from my house, I had to keep them in mind. And during the month of November they were running a special that I couldn’t pass up. There were no upfront fees to pay and they were going to honor the rate I was paying at Anytime Fitness. They are open 24 hours with lockers and all of the equipment you find in a large gym. Their cardio machines have all the bells and whistles with internet, tv, etc. I only wish they had one or two AMT machines to give us more low impact choices. The equipment is really new and all of it is in great working order. They have free classes for members including spin, yoga, zumba, TRX, and more. I think the classes are open to non-​members too, for a fee of $ 10. Also, for additional payments, they have personal trainers, massage, spray tans, etc. They have a protein bar that is available to members during their staffed hours and protein bars, products and apparel available for purchase too.
Overall they are great choice for anyone in South Reno that is in need of a clean gym with a ton of equipment that is open at anytime of the day.

Perfect location. Open 24 hours. Top notch equipment. Local ownership. Always clean. What more could one ask for in a gym? I thought that because I was used to big gyms, a smaller gym would be an issue… boy was I wrong! Flex is perfect! Staff is awesome! I am so happy that i switched… you should too! Chiro and massage therapist on site! Flex Appeal is simply top of the line!!! Thanks Matt for opening such a perfect gym in Reno!

Love my gym. Not too big — not too small. Kyle is a great group trainer and if you need a massage or chiropractic all is on site. Equipment is top notch.

The gym is always clean and friendly. No dirty gross Feel to it. And they do massage there. The massage therapist Sarah King is absolutely amazing. Many a time have I gone in there seriously hurting and walked out feeling amazing, like I got good credit or something.

I had a massage today from Sarah King and it was amazing! I came in feeling tight and worn down and I left feeling invigorated and renewed! The facility was very nice. It was very clean and staff were very friendly! Also surprisingly relaxing in the massage room. I heard no noise coming from the gym which made me even more relaxed! Will be back!

Awesome place! Great work out and amazing trainers! Matt is an exceptional trainer and athlete. You really feel like they care about your health and wellness. One of the most beautiful gyms in Reno!

Great facility with a staff that welcomes you through your entire visit. The protein bar is awesome and they have brand new equipment.

Absolutely love this gym. Very personable, close to home, it’s clean and has everything you need. Bike classes are great and I don’t have to wait in line for machines. 24 hour access is great and protein bar has so many healthy options.

This gym is so amazing. Everyone here is so helpful and always so happy. They all greet you when you enter the door and everyone keeps the gym very clean. I go here 6 days a week 3 of them I train with a personal trainer there. She by fair is the most amazing personal trainer I have ever had :). Lana Richie is her name. She’s so fun to work out with. She definitely pushes you where you get the best workout of that hour or more you have with her, plus she’s your best cheerleader. I highly recommend her to anyone whose looking for a trainer. Over all I love this gym :).

Extremely friendly & helpful staff. The facility is very nice– brand new equipment and clean! Highly recommend.
