K & A Tree Care

We used this company to remove 2 trees (a pine and elm) and trim 2 others (an ash and honey locust). Great service and all for a great price. They were able to give us advice on which trees should be removed and which can be trimmed. The trees look great and clean up was perfect. Would definitely use them again and would refer them to others.

Have you heard the old saying its hard to find good workers? This is not the case with Kevin and his crew! They showed up 15 minutes early ready to take down the «Old Cottonwood» tree! Very professional and had the steps to complete the job down to a tee! I would go out of my way to recommend this company and would use them again in a minute!!! No need to call Angie’s List for this job!!!

Kevin Peters apparently does business by driving through neighborhoods and stopping where there are many trees. After he approached me, I accepted his bid to take down an elm tree in my back yard. The young man who actually took down the tree did so quickly and efficiently, taking care not to damage other trees. But the service stopped there. Instead of removing the branches and trunk, Kevin asked if he could chip the tree and leave the chips on a vacant lot adjacent to my yard. In return, he offered to trim two large elm trees on the property. I hesitated but agreed, and he «staged» the downed tree in my garden, cut some branches from the other two elms, and said he’d return on Sunday to chip it. Sunday came — no Kevin. A phone call, and he said he’d forgotten, and would be there Monday at 8 a.m. Monday came — no Kevin. I called that afternoon, and he said he’d come and chip the tree «when he got around to it.» A week later, he has neither called nor appeared. I made the mistake of paying him the full amount before he left, and I regret it. As a result, I’ve had to hire another company to clean up the debris, chip the branches, and remove the large trunk.
I am aware of another party who had a similar experience… Kevin trimmed his tree, but left the branches and never came back to clean up, even though that is a part of the agreement. Additional complaints with the Better Business Bureau indicate that this is a pattern and is typical of his operation.
Homeowners — do not do business with K & A Tree Care. If you are tempted, get a written contract and do not pay him until every bit of the promised work has been completed satisfactorily. This is not a reputable business.

Kevin was driving by and saw that my old willow was in need of attention.
Long story short hired him and his team to prune all of my trees (8) and fall the willow as it did have some rot and just had to go. Kevin did the 8 trees that day and returned the next day to take down the willow. Very professional, the team puts safety first. and are respectful of your property. The pricing was very good and cleanup was excellent. would recommend them highly
