Lime Spa

I see Shanda at Lime Spa for my manicures and pedicures. Every time I go in she is ready for me on time, does a fantastic job and we always have a great time. I add shellac and she does it so perfectly! Can’t recommend her enough.

I’ve tried to think of a million ways to start this review. I’ll start by saying this was the 3^rd or 4^th place we called and the only one that had available appointments, but I am SO glad all the others were booked. When we first stepped in, the whole place smelled very pleasant. I realized a few minutes later it was also a nail salon but you would never know by the smell of it. They also use Zoya polish which is formaldehyde-​free!
Anyway — back to why we came. Originally they only had one available massage appointment so I was going to get a massage and my husband was going to just hang out. A couple hours before my appointment, they called and said there was a cancellation if he wanted a massage as well. They didn’t have to call and offer that to us but it was such a nice gesture. OF COURSE we took them up on it.
The place is rather small, but set up well and has a comfy seating area. They also offer complimentary coffee, wine, champagne and trail mix. Yes, please!
As for the massages… my husband and I agreed: best massages we’ve ever had. He doesn’t remember his masseuse’s name but mine was Kenzie and she was an absolute dream. I told her all of my issues (sciatica, constant knots in my shoulders, plantar fasciitis) and she hit all the points perfectly. How can someone so gentle work out all my knots? She also used coconut oil which was great. Not only did it make my skin super soft but also seemed to enhance the colors of the large tattoo on my thigh. Methinks I know what my new lotion routine will be…
The one negative I had during my visit was the use of lavender oil in the diffuser. I’m severely allergic to lavender, but Kenzie turned it off as soon as I mentioned it. Unfortunately it stayed in the air for the rest of my appointment, but she put a mask over my face with eucalyptus in it that almost immediately made my symptoms subside. Just a note to those that might be allergic, just let them know when you make your appointment!
The only other downside? I live 2.5 hours away from this place.

My husband booked me the spa package (searching on Unilocal) — basically 4 hours of heaven that included a massage, facial and mani/​pedi. Got there an hour early to change into a robe and have some bubbly! The entire staff was warm and inviting. Though it’s considered a dry spa (no showers/​sauna, etc), it’s sooo fabulous. If you’re visiting Reno, you should make sure to enjoy a spa treatment at Lime Spa!!! Thanks again for my beautiful day!!!

This place is awesome! My boyfriend got me a «celebrate» gift certificate for my birthday which included a 60 min facial, 60 min massage, and a mani/​pedi. The décor is beautiful, modern, clean. They offer robes and complimentary beverages of your choice — coffee, wine, champagne, water, and had trail mix snacks as well. My esthetician was Kelly — she is super kind and made me feel so comfortable and made my experience very enjoyable. My masseuse was Fran — she catered to my needs and got out my many knots in my shoulders and neck. My manicurist was Mychel — totally changing my nail salon I currently go to for her. Highly recommend this salon!

I received a gift card from here from my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. I was very surprised because not only was it an awesome gift but I had never heard of this place. I saw all the stellar reviews on Unilocal as well as from friends I had asked about this place.
I was super happy and surprised when I called in the afternoon that they were able to get me in the next morning for a spontaneous spa day for myself.
I schedule a 60 minute massage with Fran.
The location is cute and convenient, parking on the street which I had no problem finding. The ambiance is very calming and inviting. I was offered something to drink and the tea I chose was delish.
Fran was super informative about the whole process since this was only my 2^nd ever massage. She made me feel relaxed and calm. The massage was great and I definitely felt much better after leaving.
I cannot wait to go back and schedule another massage with Fran. I just wish she did facials as well.
The spa itself offers facials just not with Ms Fran. I will definitely be returning.

Wow. Best massage I’ve ever had. Thanks Kenzie. Better than the message I got last week in an upscale spa in Downtown Manhattan near Wall Street in New York City.

I needed a last minute appt on Mother’s Day weekend and they were able to fit me in. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great! I had a seasonal mani/​pedi which included warm paraffin wax on both hands and feet. I felt so good, especially to my hands which are somewhat arthritic. Amanda was my manicurist and she was wonderful. I will return!

Best estheticians in Reno. If you are looking for an amazing facial or expert waxing, Lime Spa is where it’s at! I’ve had a lot of facials, but I have never experienced such attention to detail and or focus on meeting the needs of the client. Luxurious. Relaxing. Perfect.

The best on this side of town. Clean, friendly and in a great location. Every nail tech I’ve worked with has been great. Their cocktails and seasonal specials are great. I know some people think it’s a little pricey but I think it’s definitely worth the few extra dollars.

I don’t really want to write this review… I don’t want other people to take over appointment times. I want to keep getting in quickly and easily because that’s the kind of annoying client I am (last minute bookings!).
I started coming here to see aesthetician Tiffany, who had been amazing until she decided to move on with her life, and now I’m seeing Emily. My first appointment with Emily, I sat down with her for a quick chat and she already knew everything about me, in a non creepy way, because I had already told Tiffany or the receptionist and they took flawless notes. I am so thankful for that small time and memory saver.
Emily really took the initiative to listen to me and what I wanted, explain everything thoroughly and deliver exceptional results; all for a good price. Please don’t book with her. I need her.
I should add, I’ve also had an exceptional massage (I wish I could remember her name) from here and one of the best manicures ever. The massage therapist had really strong hands and my manicure lasted longer than most others. The girls are all so nice and really good at what they do. You can tell that they like their job because they have fun while they’re working and they make their client feel like royalty, not just a one hour block to get through.

I had been seeing an esthetician for 4 years when she had decided to get out of the industry on the day of my appointment. I called Lime Spa and was able to get in the same day! Emily took great care of me! Thank you!!!

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and it’s one of my favorite spas in Reno! Such a charming interior and the staff is really friendly. I’ve had countless appointments and no complaints about any of them!

WOW… All the good reviews were in 2013 & 2014. Looks like this place has changed and used to be a nice place.
First time at Lime and I was not impressed. Only greeted by the gal at the front. When I waited in the small waiting area there were a few workers that passed by. Looked at ya but didn’t even speak or greet you. I went to use the bathroom, same thing. Passed by three workers where the pedicure room was and no one could even say hello. I actually had a question I wanted to ask about a pedicure but didn’t, since no one seemed to care that I was there. I had a 90 minute massage $ 120 + $ 12 tip. The gal was ok but actually not worth the price. I’ve had other massages from other local businesses that were far better. The reason I went to Lime was because my girlfriends had given me a generous gift card. They had asked me how I liked Lime and told them I was not pressed. They weren’t happy about it. The remainder of the gift card, I just gave it away since I will not be back.
The funny thing about this was I did let the gal who did my massage know about my unfriendly experience and after our session she went to let the owner Emily know who was downstairs. When she came back up she stated I told Emily. The only one who said anything about my not-​so-​good experience was the masseuse. She apologized. Not even the owner/​manager that she had informed.
For the prices they charge, it is way to much for the lack of service you receive. I don’t mind paying for something I enjoy, however, I rather spend my money elsewhere, where I’m treated better and have excellent service. There’s plenty of other local businesses in town who would like to take my money.

I had a massage appt there. I walked in, was greeted promptly, offered beverages and a robe and all that. I was given the choice of which aroma I wanted mixed into the massage oil, which is nice because I can be kind of picky about scents.
I saw Lizzy for the deep tissue massage and it was completely amazing. The pressure was great and she had a lot of techniques for getting the kinks out. And she was really good at helping with the relaxation, encouraging deep breaths and knew when to be quiet and not talk.
At the end, to say I felt like I died and had been reborn wasn’t that far of a stretch. Definitely the best massage I have ever had, ever, and I have had a lot.

This spa is incredible! Eight of us went to Reno for a bachelorette party and wanted a little bit of pampering. We all booked differnt serives — massages, pedicures, and facials. Let me tell you, every single one of us had an amazing treatment. I had a facial from Jen. That girl has the magic touch. I was completely relaxed after 1 minute on the table. She let me know what products she was using and their benifits at each step of the facial, which I requested. As I was getting the facial, I was seriously trying to figure out how to budget a trip to Reno every couple of months just so I could come to Lime Spa. The cocktails were so refreshing and delicious. We all had a great time and were extremely happy with the services at Lime Spa!

I first went to Lime Spa for two reasons: I was getting married in 7 months and
1) I wanted to have natural, healthy nails (I’m a habitual nail ripper)
2) I was having some stress breakouts and I wanted my skin to get back on track.
–I figured by getting my nails done every couple of weeks and investing in them I would be less prone to destroying them and they would break less… and I was right. Michelle was my nail gal all the way up to the day of my wedding. Her nail art skills rocked, and my natural, beautiful nails looked great in my wedding photos! My nails grew healthy and strong.
–I went through several aestheticians the first few months, not because I didn’t like them but because I wanted to try them all out, they seemed to have different styles and techniques. Brittney was the third of 4 and I had the most memorable experience with her, so after the fourth gal (which was my least favorite, I don’t think she works there any more so no need to name drop) I was very excited to book another appointment with Brittney. She was very knowledgeable about her products and procedures, and got me on a skin care plan that worked great. My skin glowed on W-​Day, and my acne issues began to clear up. I stopped wearing any makeup, I no longer needed to! Eventually, she talked me in to letting her do my brows and WOW!
I have complete strangers stopping me in passing to ask me where I get my brows done (I am not making that up).
In short, what was just supposed to be a 7 month Bridal pampering phase turned into a regular routine. I just passed my 2 year anniversary of seeing Brittney, and it doesn’t look like I’m going to quit any time soon. It’s my monthly treat to myself, and most months, I’ve definitely earned it!
The overall atmosphere of the spa is perfect, it’s a beautiful bright space that uplifts! The rest of the staff has always been very friendly to me, and to any of my friends or family that I bring in. Lime Spa, you’re doing a fantastic job

When I write a review immediately after leaving a business, it means a 5 star ridiculous experience.
We called in earlier this morning to set up a side by side, aka couple’s massage. Since it’s the month of February, we were given complimentary champagne and chocolate. I had the Swedish mixology massage and G had the deep tissue one.
So you walk in, change into a robe and sandals, head out to the relaxation room where you’ll soak your feet. Take a sniff at the scents in front of you and pick one to your liking. Fill out the questionnaire and then meet your masseuse! We had Laurel and Leah. I believe I had Leah but I believe I accidentally wrote Laurel on the gratuity envelope. Eeks. Same amount for the both of us though so I hope she gets it!
If you’re going to do this, go all out. Get naked… do the heated bed… and relax. Relaxing was difficult for me. Super tense… I guess that’s why I came here in the first place!
I also added the heated bamboo option. I don’t think I could ever have another massage without it.
Apparently, I had a huge knot in my neck which she was able to remove. Holy cow. Thank goodness. My neck felt pretty much like new afterwards.
This is definitely the place to go if you want to treat yourself. 5 stars.

This isn’t a usual activity for me — I have no other spa visit to compare this to, so I’m going to refrain from a 5 star on this one.
If you are looking for a place to actually relax and let your mind and body float for 90 minutes, then this place is for you. Susan wanted to buy us a couples’ massage as a Christmas gift. I do have a regular deep tissue masseuse, but she doesn’t have a business partner anymore and can’t do a couples’ massage. Susan looked around and landed here — I think it was based on a verbal recommendation. This is more than just going to get a massage, though…
On arrival, they ask you to change into a robe and a pair of Crocs. Then you go sit in this hanging swing chair and they hand you a glass of champagne and some chocolate. Your feet exit the Crocs and go into a tub of warm water and a hot bean bag is placed over your neck. Then I doze off. In about 15 minutes the masseuses wake me up and introduce themselves to Susan and me. We confirm the type of massage we want (deep tissue), tell them about problem spots, select a scented oil for ‘aromatherapy’, and confirm that you don’t have allergies that can be triggered by the oils that they apply to your skin (nice of them to ask).
The environment is brightly lit, painted, and quite sterile. There will be no interior design induced depression here! We were massaged in a small room, but I think if anyone is going to complain, it would be the masseuses, since I’m just lying flat and still. There is a network of branches in the ceiling of this room — nice touch!
From a technical point of view, the masseuses are licensed and professional. The massage was done correctly and was very welcome. I haven’t been pushing my body real hard for the last year, or so; so I didn’t ask the masseuse to go with real deep pressure and I received exactly what I asked for over the entire duration of the treatment. I did run a few miles before I went and I had a stiff neck, so the treatment was very welcomed.
If you’re just looking for a massage, then you should know that this place isn’t cheap. It is fun for a treat every once in a blue moon, though. Happy ‘spa-​ing’ (is that even a word?)!

What a relaxing day to spend the afternoon! I walked in the doors and felt the zen wash over me! Loved the décor of white and aquas dashed with silver accents.
Upon arrival I was seated in their lounge where I was asked if I would like a drink and it was a comfy place to relax for my treatment. They have some hammock like chairs that look amazing but I was afraid I might rock myself to sleep.
Next Shanda came out to greet me for my manicure/​pedicure. She was great at helping me choose a fall pattern for my nails. We started with the express manicure which turned out flawless.
We then moved on to the seasonal pedicure. HEAVEN! I love the scrubs and lotions for Fall. They smelled delicious! Again my feet turned out perfect. They serve you a mocktail or cocktail with the service, I went for the mocktail called The Bees Knees… and it was! Honey, lavender what was not to like?
The atmosphere was very relaxing and I loved the fact that no phones are allowed. There is nothing worse than getting all relaxed and then the person next to you starts talking on the phone. So kudos to them for making this a policy!
Prices were very good and the location is in mid-​town making it very convenient. Definitely going back for nails and a facial.
