Montebello at Summit Ridge

Management is the worst. Going through managers every couple months, nobody there knows what they’re doing. Charged us a $ 100 for painting the walls after we moved out, even though during walk through they only mentioned carpet cleaning.

Moved here last July. It started with a weird amount of spiders in my apartment. Even found a mouse. Now it’s the damn parking its retarded there is never anywhere for me to park and then on my long walk to my apartment I get the smell of weed from my neighbors. That same neighbor has had cops there every morning knocking as loud as possible. The worst though is my upstairs people. Literally hear everything. Turns out it’s a lady who was placed here through something because she finally left her abusive boyfriend. This lady has two two year olds who have jumped so hard it knocked down picture frames. Best part is they are up from 8AM to 1AM. I pay way to much to be living like this. Right when my lease is up you can bet I’ll be leaving.

I have lived here for 6 years with no problems. The maintenance staff has always been very attentive to any repairs I needed. The gym is huge and equipment is always in good working condition. Plenty of parking. It is a bit pricy but well worth the extra money. Great place to live!!!

If I could give zero stars I would, if you are thinking of moving in here go somewhere else. They price gouge depending on time of year you move in and then charge older tenants the same rates as their «upgraded» units without upgrading their places.
Rental office staff is constantly turning over, they do repairs and fixes on the cheap.

Wow has this place gone downhill since my last review! The pool has 10 lounge chairs now. Total. How can you have 10 lounge chairs in a huge apartment complex? When I went in and asked about it, after having to lay on the hot cement by the pool, I was told there are no plans for more chairs but multiple people have come in to complain.
Maintenance has gone downhill as well. One of our toilets leaks from the base and has been «fixed» two times with the maintenance person doing nothing. There are now water marks around the toilet and still no one will fix the issue.
Speed bumps are still huge as ever, seriously the biggest and most I’ve ever seen in an apartment complex, when people come to visit that’s always the first comment.
In short: for the money there are way better places to live.
Three stars for good location

We have lived at Montebello for the past four years and are very sad to be leaving! The complex is well maintained and the staff is friendly and responsive. We highly recommend Montebello to anyone in need of an apartment in the Northwest Reno area. You won’t be disappointed!

Have fun until its time to move out! We were told and had in paper that any day during regular business hours that we could request a walk through upon leaving. Nope! It’s only when and if maintenance feels like doing it. And not on weekends. The main manager Christina has always been very nice but Roxanne, is a peach. Attitude and laughed when I asked for the manager upon being denied a walk through Friday at 4pm. So, enjoy it while you live here!

I’ve lived here since March of 2014 and I gotta say this is one of the best maintained apartment complex I’ve ever rented at. I’ve had problems with heating and plumbing and luckily I chose a place to stay where the office staff relays the issue quick enough to the handy men to take care of before I lose my patience. Big ups to everyone employed here. Great job and keep it up!

My boyfriend and I recently relocated here from out of state and love it. So far so great! Our apartment has a lot of space and storage and we love that we have a connecting garage. Gym is big and a great perk! The views from our apartment are gorgeous too. No parking problems or anything we can really complain about. Rent prices seem fair (though their pet fees seem a little steep) but we’re really happy with our decision.
Note: Before moving here I read HUNDREDS of reviews about this place. Beware of people who are upset about feeling cheated about anything. Its a great place for someone looking to relocate — would highly recommend =)

I have to write another review for them because, while I was living there it was such good service. But upon leaving, I am not happy. I was expecting a $ 200 pet deposit refund (from $ 400). But instead, I got a letter that says I owe $ 462.98 after deducting the $ 200. The total amount I originally owed was $ 662.98.
In the letter it says I have past due rent from March 1 to the 6^th, even though I wasn’t living there. But because I left my keys in the apartment I am billed up until the day they entered the unit. I called them to sort it out as a leasing manager told me I could leave the keys there since I was leaving back to LA before their office was opened.
I also emailed them through their website that I was leaving on the 29^th over a month earlier.
Side Note: Do not email companies through their own website because then you won’t have a copy.
The lady said there was no email from me (so how did they know I was moving out?) and that she has proof that they tried to contact me 7 times, also a lie. I got one call and called back.
She said they don’t make exceptions and that if I don’t pay they will send it to collections in 30 days.
So for 6 days they charged me $ 251, and $ 70 in utilities.
Also they billed me $ 80 to take out a bag of trash that I forgot to take from the patio.
Cleaning fees were $ 185 plus a misc $ 26 pet fee (?).
So it is awesome to stay there while you are there, but if you move out bring the keys down for sure and send your 30 day notice from your own email so you have a copy.
So depressing dealing with them now. Mean and heartless when it comes time to go if things aren’t perfect from their perspective.
