Watch repair is one of those odd things that I don’t need done frequently, in the past I’ve always just taken my watch to Sears and gotten lousy service from a poorly trained employee.
Once I found Reno Watch Repair I would never go back to Sears. The owner is fast, friendly and thorough. I have had multiple batteries replaced and links added/​removed at this shop and each time I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend it.

Lovely man in a wonderful old shop replaced two watch batteries, noticed a broken part in my vintage Fossil, and fixed it for free. Took about 3 minutes altogether and cost $ 20 cash. We chatted a bit, then he asked for the watches back. He set them ahead an hour because of the time change tonight. I’m a little in love.

My watch game is so tight, it cuts off blood circulation. Whenever I have an issue, I bring my watch here. The dude is super knowledgeable and he is friendly, fast, and fair with his prices. Cash only, FYI.

This place has amazing customer service. I got a battery replaced and a couple links removed, took them about 5 minutes. Downside is they only take cash or check. I returned with the 20 dollars it costed and he lowered the price to 15 and was genuinely thankful for me to be there.

I’ve been here twice now and they were not able to help me. I chose Reno Watch & Clock Repair both times because of the positive Unilocal reviews. The latest incident in which they couldn’t help me is when I needed a 22 mm long watch band. The owner said they don’t stock 22 mm bands. It’s not that uncommon of a size.
But the owner seems friendly. I would come here again.

What can I say… I have been going to this man for 20 years. Smart man. Fair, straight shooter. If you cant handle the truth about the watch you have or its issue, no matter how accurate or dismal, then fair warning. He will tell you like it is. We need to support business like this. He is OLD world in his customer service. Fast talker, no nonsense. He has done what others said couldnt be done because they were uneducated in watch repair, or just lazy. The price is fair — to a steal for the customer. The owner is inventive to solve a problem. I like it. Seems as though that art is lost today… I will be going soon to get my watch case and band polished out and shined up. I also like him because hes a boxing fan. Good man. To the woman who gave one star on her coo coo clock, You have know idea. This man knows EXPENSIVE, QUALITY clocks,. Not worth it to repair a turd. Be lucky he saved you your dime.

Philip is very nice, does great work, and is extremely fast. I took in a watch that needed the stem replaced and he had it back to me the same day.

Mr Narong is extremely friendly and his skills are top notch. I came in to get a new pin and couldn’t be happier with the service I received.

We wandered in needing a watch repair and battery replacement. He took a look at the watch through his magnifying monocle, flipped it around a few times and handed it back. Thinking he hadn’t done anything we handed it back and he popped it, flipped it, blasted it, and said «$ 7 please».
The owner, an older Asian man, had my friend’s watch working in about 15 seconds total time.
As he answered the phone I overheard him say, «I’ve been repairing watches for 30 years, I am the best ever».
Dropping to 4 stars due to the clutter in the store, difficulty getting through on the phone, and not giving price quotes before the repair. Not sure if I would call him the best ever, but if you want a fast inexpensive repair, this is the place to go in Reno.

Efficient! Don’t know why I waited so long to replace my everyday wear watch. Took less than 5 min.
The place is one of three in this shopping center, holding on despite the flux and changes through 27 years.
Will come again.

I’ve taken my Seiko Monster to Reno Watch & Clock Repair a couple of times and had nothing but great experiences. First, my phone conversations with the owner have always just been to ask for hours but he is extremely polite and thanks you for calling. The minor adjustments I brought my watch in for were done lightning fast and at very reasonable prices. Again, he’s extremely polite and professional — this is THE place for watch repair in Reno.

Dropped by for a new watch battery — was in and out in less than five minutes. Philip is professional & the store is filled with interesting clocks of all sorts. Highly recommend. Bring cash — cards not accepted.

I have had watches repaired here several times with good results. Recently I took a cuckoo clock in to be serviced and/​or repaired as it has just gotten slow over the years. The proprietor said he no longer repairs cuckoo clocks. Too bad. He might want to think about taking the «CLOCK» part of his sign down.

Phillip has been servicing our luxury brand timepieces for over 8 years. He is a highly skilled, kind, professional and I recommend him highly. He has often fixed small issues without charge.

Dropped in on a whim, as I had passed by on my way to lunch. I had a watch with me that I had been stopping at stores looking in vain for a replacement pin to reattach the band of my watch to the face.
Two other customers were ahead of me and the owner of the store handled them quickly and efficiently, and both of them had giant smiles on their faces after receiving their previously broken products that the owner fixed. One was an antique cuckoo clock, the other was a watch. The owner repeatedly told his customers how beautiful the products were and that he enjoyed working on them. I could tell he was absolutely genuine and that he truly did love his craft. You can just tell he’s a master of his craft by how he speaks and handles your items.
I showed him watch, which was just a simple Fossil watch face on top of and extra-​wide leather wrist band … certainly nothing special in the grand scheme of things, but it was special to me as it was my wedding present years ago.
He immediately set to work, diligently and efficiently replacing the pin and double-​checking his work to make sure it was a good, secure fit. He handed the watch back to me and said «thank you, have a nice day.» When asked how much I should pay, he said «No, no pay, thank you, thank you, have a nice day.» I was shocked, even though I quickly figured these pins probably only cost pennies when bought in bulk, but still … I’ve been searching for a week and would have paid a lot just to have it fixed at this point.
Perhaps he was just in a great mood (and he seemed to be), or perhaps he was very military-​friendly (I was in my uniform that day) … but whatever the reason he would not take my money even when I tried to insist it would be a tip ($ 5) and a big thank you. He still would not take it.
Now, I wouldn’t go in again and expect any free service, military or not, so don’t be disappointed if he charges you. I only wanted to show all of you what a fine character this man is, and that he’s not going to nickel and dime you to an inflated profit. His prices appear more than reasonable and his customers all left feeling like they made the best choice in the world coming to him.
There definitely needs to be like some extra, bonus star that you can give on this site. If I had one extra bonus star I could award every month, October’s would easily be claimed by this business.

Is it possible to award a 6^th star? How about a 7^th or 8^th? Does the Milky Way contain enough stars to give this guy? I can’t help but sound sentimental and saccharine for I only spent 10 minutes in that shop but underwent the most profound customer-​service encounter of my life and a quasi-​religious experience from this saint of a man.
I ordered a Technomarine watch online and when I received it the minute hand was loose and dysfunctional. I was planning on returning it when I happened to drive by this shop and stopped in on a whim to see what it would cost to fix it. Phillip immediately got up from his labors when I opened the door and greeted me. He encouraged me to send it back because he did not want to charge me 20 dollars to fix it. I told him it would probably cost near that to send it back and he then dropped the price to 15 and began working on it.
After 5 or 6 minutes he was finished and the watch worked perfectly. I handed him a 20 and told him to keep the change. «Don’t do that,» he said and handed me back 10 dollars, dropping the price even more.
Not only is Phillip extremely customer fixated but one gets the impression that he could work on a Patek or Lange just as easily as he could a Seiko. I wish I knew about him back in my more insecure days when I owned a Rolex and was gouged when servicing it. You are lucky to have this man in Reno; I can only wish he would move to Vegas.

An older Hawaiian gentleman was extremely friendly and helpful. I took my Nixon watch off before getting in the shower and left it on the counter, steam got in it, and rusted the inside. I took it here and he put a whole new mechanism in it within 45 mins. He charged me $ 40. I will definitely be back again with any of my other Nixon watch problems. Thanks!

I brought my Skagen watch in today to have the battery changed. Previously I’d have taken it to the Skagen distribution center in South Reno, but it no longer exists. I had called a couple of other places that said they wouldn’t do any work on Skagen watches because they are unusually delicate. Another place quoted me $ 35 to change the battery.
The gentleman working at Reno Watch & Clock Repair was incredibly polite, changed my battery without hesitation, and only charged me $ 10. He seemed genuinely grateful for my business, even though it was just a few bucks. I’ll definitely be back with a couple of other watches in the near future.
Also: Unilocal currently says that this shop does not take credit cards, but they definitely do, so don’t let that deter you!
