Staples

We went shopping here for a desk for the wife’s office. The selection was very limited in the store but an associate was nice enough to add that they had a much larger selection on their website that they would ship to the store if we were interested. Honestly, if we wanted to order online we would likely order from someone with better prices because their selection seemed to cost about 15−20% more than other online retailers. We were willing to pay for being able to have it at the moment of purchase and being able to see it in person both of which lack online. I guess with the large amount of floor space a decent selection of desks would occupy, the bean counters decided it would be best used for other merchandise.

Please note their copy & print center closes at 5pm but the main store does not close till 7 pm. They should have a sign posted in the window informing customers.

I would prefer to give zero stars but the staff is generally nice most of the time. Most frustrating part about this location is the time it takes to complete a transaction. Doesn’t matter if you’re making a small purchase or dropping of a package for UPS pickup, seems I have never gotten out of the store faster than 40 minutes.

I guess at this point it’s my fault for giving them so many chances, but once again Staples, copy center, hadn’t even started my project, that I had sent the day before. However, this time they lost my business and I couldn’t wait the 40 minutes the girl behind the counter didn’t think was big deal to ask me to wait. Sorry Staples, you won’t have another chance. FedEx/​Kinkos will be my new go to.

In general I’m a fan of the company. This location was friendly, but everyone worked slowly and seemed to get easily distracted. I couldn’t find the label maker I was looking for and after about 15 minutes of waiting I was finally helped. I got the label maker, but the printing tape was out of stock-​not a big deal, I know it’s the most popular — so the cashier offered to order it with free shipping. I thought that was great. She let me know that it would arrive on Monday, UPS.
We continued with a little more shopping but discovered this location was out of a lot of basic products (tape, scissors, pens, etc). Since my family and I just moved into our new home we needed to get some basics. I didn’t feel like ordering, we just got it from Office Max. I did order the printing tape though.
Monday, after work, I asked my family if a box came and it hadn’t arrived yet. It finally came on Wednesday. I probably won’t go back to this Staples location again.

Well i come in here every week to get prints done. This store has excellent service the manager is awesome always takes care of me if theres a problem the printing manager is awesome too. I started going here about a year ago after having an awful experience at office depot, and all i can say is no wonder staples bought out office depot.

2:30 Monday afternoon and there is ONE person working said everyone is in a corporate meeting for an hour and she can’t even operate the custom copier. Sent me to another store 12 miles away. Wasted 10 minutes waiting to find this out. Wasted trip and time. This Staples center gets a big fat F!

So, 2 things I didn’t know about Staples until recently
1) If you make an account online you can send digital documents to their stores and it’s only 10 cents to print each B&W page. No order minimum either. Beats heck out of Kinkos 50 cents per page plus 30 cents/​minute internet time
2) Paper shredding for $ 1 per pound
The only downside, at least at this location: every employee apparently only knows how to do one thing and one thing only, so if the copy station guy/​gal is on break or lunch, you just have to wait around for them to come back

i’ve been told over 5 times when i go in to make a copy; come back tomorrow! what??? yeah i want to spend more time and more gas coming back to make 2 copies!!! no wonder over 200 stores are closing. bad customer service. i called the manager (who could care less) told him lets get on a conference call with corporate and you tell them you can’t make me 2 lousey copies. he said no!!! why are you afraid of losing your job mr. brian vietra? then explain to me when 90% of people who walk in with a flash drive cannot use the self copier because you don’t have the technology yet to do that? again nothing but excuses. and then i asked him why they couldn’t have more than one copy machine to do orders. because he says. sounds like something a 2 year old would say. i got so much better service in calif. staples. they have the worse customer service there. i have had to drive an extra 5 miles to go to office depot. but at least i get my copies done right then.

I used to go to office depot because it was slightly closer to my old office but then they clsoed and I began having to go down to the Staples on Plumb. My first expierence there I thought, had cemented my loyalty to this company, But then every experence since then has been the same! I am immediatly greeted and recognized when I walk through their doors. They always are so happy and team oriented when I shop there. Jacqueline and Rachel are an amazing team and always go above and beyond in every aspect of my jobs. I do all of my printing there, sometimes just so I can stop in and catch up with Jacqueline, She is an amazing help. She has always made sure I had everything I needed complete and made the best suggestions on things I never would have thought of doing. My events have only gotten better and better and her vast knowledge of advertising, marketing and all things copy and print always baffel me. No matter where she works im going to continue to do business with her for the years to come, she is the reason that I shop at this store exclusively!

I have been there many times for office products and printing. I always ask for «Kim Brown» to assist me. Her knowledge of product, pricing and availability is exceptional! I will only visit this staples knowing I can always count on Kim! Thanks Kim!

Two bad experiences at copy center. A male with horrible, non-​existent customer service skills, begrudgingly made some copies for me. He had me check them — I checked the first two or three — looked fine, got home, and the rest of them were all over the damn place — crooked and lopsided. But his rudeness and shortness was the worst part of it. A month or so earlier I went in to see about some card stock (for copies) and when I asked the female behind the counter if she had a particular type, she begrudgingly slung me a catalog. I stood at the counter waiting for 10 minutes for her to finish with another customer, and when she got to me and I requested a particular card stock, she said: «Oh, we don’t carry any of those.» Then, to make it worse, no apology. I guess my questions to the Staples/​Plumb management is why are these people so unhappy? And, when was the last time they had some customer service training?

9 am opening hours is about 2 hours too late for some business people. Can’t shop before 9 am work if you don’t open until after everyone has to be at work being productive. Open earlier like 7am or at least 8 am.

Regardless of having pretty much everything I’ve ever needed from an office supply store, I really appreciate the kind and friendly service. My last trip to Staples included an immediate greeting and assistance for what I was looking for. I was in and out nice and quick! The most fascinating to me was how the employees treated each other. They were very teamwork oriented and got along great. They were willing to help each other with a smile on their face. I appreciate this kind of service.

My husband was looking for custom Photo paper, and called and spoke to an associate named, «Rachel». She was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about her job. When we went in a few days later, to pay for the paper, she had a spec. photo printed, and told us about the Customer appreciation program, and detailed how it works. We will definitely use this Staples for all of our photo needs. Good job, Rachel –going above and beyond expectations!

The service in the printing department was amazing, we got there right as they closed and they were still incredibly patient as we tried to figure out how to email them our docs to print. Fantastic service.

It’s a staples. Nothing too special, but the store always has what I need and is easy to navigate. I would come here for all my small office needs and go elsewhere for larger purchases. I also never have to wait long to be checked out, they have great customer service.

I don’t own a printer because it’s actually easier and cheaper to take a flash drive down to Staples, where the ink is never dry, the paper’s never out, and the people always greet me with a smile. I really enjoy getting copies and posters made at the Plumb Lane Staples location! Anna and Ashton are some of my favorite faces there. They help me figure out which paper will work best, and they problem-​solve to make bizarre files and requests come out beautifully!
Most of the printing that I have done is for my clients; Staples makes ME look good!
Their turn-​around time is impressive; for same-​day services, I always choose Staples.
Beyond the Copy/​Print Center I have found everything I need for my business: from computers to flash drives to notebooks to dry erase markers.
I spend so much time at Staples that my daughter knows her way around the store; she requests to be put into a shopping cart and wheeled to the computer section where she can watch a movie on the monitors. The staff at Staples is always very kind and attentive to her; it feels good to go to a corporate business that still feels warm and friendly.
Their Rewards program truly is rewarding. As a business owner it’s nice to get a little perk in the mail. My Rewards dollars get turned into office supplies, and it sure feels good to pick up a fancy pen that I didn’t really pay for!
I bought my main laptop there the day before Thanksgiving. Because they valued me as a customer, and because they knew they would be very busy on Black Friday, they hooked me up with incentives so that I ended up paying the same amount as if I waited a few more days to make my purchase. Because of Staples, I was able to transfer data from one computer to the next over a vacation, instead of at the start of the work week.
The experience was so easy that I came back a few months later and bought another Windows 8 laptop for my business and household use.
Did I mention that I never have to wait in a long line at Staples?!
