Traveling across Nevada, my headlight went out. The fellas at the shop were able to replace the part in less than 10 minutes and for a great price. Extremely satisfied!

Great shop, great communication, good prices. They diagnosed and fixed my 08 BMW 335xi quickly.

Buying a Saab may not have been one of my brighter ideas, from a maintenance standpoint. SAS is the only place we’ve found (including the nearest «authorized dealership» in Sacramento) that makes us feel welcome! Recently they replaced a headlight (they provided) and windshield wipers (we provided) within minutes, on a drop-​in basis, and only charged us for the lamp. In a bit more distant past they troubleshot an electrical problem. Although we still had to go to the «authorized dealer» the information SAS gave us provided ammunition to argue our case when the dealer said they needed a couple more days; it was done an hour and a half later. We won’t take this car anywhere else if we can avoid it.

Looking for honest qualified shop… LOOK NO FURTHER!!! The service Scott provided exceeded OUTSTANDING! His knowledge and experience surpassed the BMW dealer ship.
I will refer family and friends who have any issue with there Volvo, BMW, Audi or Mini Couper. Thank you for being a company that I can rely on.

Let me be the next person to bang the drum as I hop on the SAS Bandwagon… these guys are AWESOME!!! THEY ACTUALLY LIKE WHAT THEY DO! THEY ARE HONEST! THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL! And, they communicate clearly to their customers.
Now, the back story… I was in the market to purchase a late model low mileage BMW, and I wanted it inspected professionally. The boys at SAS went into this car with verve and expertise… it wasn’t long after they started their inspection that it was evident the vehicle had had at least one body panel replaced, and that there were other indications of major repairs…(GAME OVER), AND the inspection was DONE W/​O CHARGE…(«We like to perform inspections as a courtesy to our customers») When is the last time you heard words to that effect come out of a mechanic’s mouth?
I have been a BMW enthusiast for the past 35 years (please don’t hold it against me… lol)…I have worked as a service writer, and built at least one «non-​imported» (grey market) vehicle that was featured in a national magazine. And, as these vehicles become more sophisticated, and computer oriented, I realize just how much I do not know with regard to repairs… enter SAS!
I always smile when I recall how I was treated by the staff at SAS. (honest…they are THAT GOOD!) And, after I find the vehicle for which I am searching, I truly believe it would be in my best interest to drive «over the mountain» and trust my servicing to SAS.
Paul, Scott, and the entire staff at SAS have demonstrated to me just how things should «be».

Swedish Auto Service has been our mechanic for over 15 years. They have been consistently reliable and provided the best, most responsive service we could ask for. Over the years we have had all sorts of work that has come up on our various cars, and Paul and his team are always extremely helpful, honest, clear and provide all the options so we understand and can make an informed decision. I would highly recommend SAS to anyone.

I’ve always been a German car enthusiast, so when I saw a great deal on an Audi Allroad, I said, «Why not?». With any private-​party buying experience, you can never be too wary, however. I didn’t know why this guy would sell his Audi if nothing was REALLY wrong with it. My mentality is: why not drive it into the ground if you can’t afford the maintenance, seeing as that was his excuse for parting ways with it.
Well fast-​forward a few days later and the Allroad goes to level-​1 (so, I may have exceeded 80mph for more than 8 seconds). No biggie, except when I got off on my exit and stopped at the stop sign, it didn’t air back up to level-​2. Crap.
So, I continued the short 2 minute drive from the offramp to my house, feeling every damn bump and crack in the road in the process. I pull in to the driveway, roll down the window and immediately hear the air escaping from the front driver-​side. Up until this point I hadn’t built a relationship with any mechanic that specializes in Audi. So, I Unilocaled (DUH!) and found these guys.

I talked to Paul and he eased my stress level quite a bit. He said to just bring it on in and he’ll check to see if maybe a hose just disconnected. If so, he’d put it back on – NO CHARGE. This is me we’re talking about here, though. I never have that great of luck.
Come to find out, it was indeed a collapsed bag (big hole in it). Someone had put a wrong bag on the driver side (ticking time bomb) which makes sense now as to why that guy wanted to sell it.
After that first call I dealt with Scott. He called me every step of the way to tell me what was going on, gave me a quote ($ 906) and said that they’d have it done Monday. I told him to go ahead and change the oil, as well. (What’s $ 100 more when you’re already laying down 9?!) So, he said no problem. By noon on Monday, Scott called and said my car was ready. The total cost was $ 916…a lot cheaper than the grand I was expecting to shell out. I don’t know if they lowered the price to try and stay within the original quote — even though I added another service — or if it was good luck. Either way, these guys were a breeze to deal with and seemingly did the job right.

I had been referred SAS after having poor experiences at a near by dealer. Scott is very helpful and timely. The part that I needed was ordered and delivered quickly and my wife said she enjoyed the experience while our car was being serviced. Their prices were considerably more reasonable than a dealer. Appreciate this refreshing experience when needing service on our car.

SAS is absolutely the première shop in Northern Nevada for Volvos (and anything else they’ll do you the pleasure of working on). They have consistently treated me and my 2005 XC90 very well.
Often times as women, or simply those who may not be mechanically inclined, it’s difficult to gauge how much of what you are being told is truth & how much of what you are charged is necessary. Certainly the stereotype of shady mechanics arose from somewhere– and SAS and their team have worked hard to turn that tide in the opposite direction. It’s uncommon to walk into a shop and be treated with respect, dignity, and true care. There’s not a damn thing I wouldn’t trust from SAS & they have surely made me a customer for life.
For automotive experts who treat you with respect, kindness, and fairness– there’s nowhere else that I would recommend more highly than SAS. Thank you Scott & Paul!

this is the 2^nd time I bring my cars to get service! And both times I’ve been very happy with their work. the best part is that I saved a lots of money NOT going to the dealer-​ships! I’ve totally recommend this place!!! you’ll would be VERY HAPPY with their service :)) great costumer service.

I can’t say enough positive things about Paul & Scott and the team at SAS. They are all around great — kind, responsive, and they really know their stuff. They sure did right by us when we were in a difficult spot — our car broke down 200+ miles from home. It turned out to be the end of the road for our 2004 Volvo XC90, but they went out of their way to guide us through the process — providing advice and referrals that were right on the money, despite the fact that they weren’t going to earn any revenue servicing the car. I recommend them very highly, and only wish we had found them sooner!

Sas are professional, friendly, fast, and have a competitive price. Overall I am happy with them.

I asked Paul (mechanic) to do a pre purchase inspection on an older model bmw that I was thinking about buying. Paul was very though and honest with me. He could have easily mislead me but he didn’t. I ended up not buying the vehicle. I could tell by his friendly demeanor and knowledge of BMWs that this is a solid shop to take vehicles to. Thanks again Paul.

After my last harrowing experience with Bill Pierce, I have been in the market for a new shop to take my Volvo, which has been having more and more issues of late. I’ve been bouncing around from place to place, and no one REALLY seems to know what they’re doing with Swedish cars. I’ll have something fixed, and a week or two later it’s something else. The car is old, very old, but over the last two years I’ve put more money into fixing it than I paid for it in the first place.
I was recommended this place by a fellow Volvo enthusiast, and boy was she right. Paul and his staff are knowledgeable, courteous, and most importantly, upfront. As I feared my old V70 had reached the end of her tether, at least for me. He explained that the work required (a new transmission) might not be worth it, and that money might be better spent getting started on a new car. I was taken aback by his candor, but I really did appreciate it. It takes a really honest mechanic to tell you NOT to have work done. Then, I think sensing my incipient depression over the realization of losing a beloved and faithful vehicle, he didn’t even charge me for the diagnosis.
Really really stand-​up guys here. I accepted a few of their recommendations on where to begin the hunt for a good used car, and promised I’d be back. Even if I wind up in a car of another nationality, I will return to Swedish Auto Service for the prices and the people.

Paul and the rest of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about my Volvo XC70. I’ve been bringing my car here for a couple of years for service and repairs with satisfactory results! Coming from Wisconsin, I was hesitant with just any mechanics working on my vehicle and the Volvo dealer is super pricey and busy. The prices here are reasonable considering it’s a Volvo and I can always get an appointment right away. If my car will be there longer than expected, I can get a nice rental car for a great price. One time the rental car was FREE when the problem took a bit longer to diagnose & repair. I was inconsiderate and dropped in on these guys twice without an appointment to install a headlight and they didn’t hesitate to pop it in and send me on my way!

THE ONLY PLACE I’LL TAKE MY BMW! My service engine light came on over the weekend and I called SAS to see when I could bring it in. Paul made room in the schedule for me this morning. He found the service engine soon light was caused by vanos intake cam. Paul explained the issue to me and provided the suggested fix. They ended up performing an engine cleaner and an oil change. For SAS to pull the codes, do the engine clean, the oil change, and reset the computer it cost me $ 128.35. That is by far the best deal i’ve ever paid in my seven years of owning this car. Thanks to Paul and the team for getting me back on the road in under four hours and without breaking the bank. I’ll be back and tell all of my friends of your amazing customer service!

I recently bought a bmw 330ci and I brought the car here for inspection and I was glad I did. They made a list of things the car need it fix and I was able to have the car dealership fix all at no cost to me. They’re very honest and affordable.

I’ve been the owner of my 2004 Volvo XC90 for over a year now, and when everything went bad at my other mechanic (they accidentally routed my rear windshield sprayer to spray the inside of the car, while they were replacing the washer pump) I took it over to SAS and Paul had the part my old mechanic «couldn’t find» within 24 hours.
Several major and minor repairs/​maintenance jobs later, and I have come to the conclusion that I will never take my XC90 anywhere else, Paul and his crew have taken such great care of me and my car the minute I drove up, are incredibly professional, and know Volvo’s inside and out!

We were in town for our anniversary and had some car trouble. Got the car (2002 v40) in around 3:30 on a Friday afternoon. They found the problem and had us on our way by 5. Fast, courteous and reasonable. Doesn’t get better than that.
