We could not have pulled off our wedding without the help of Take the Cake Events! I would recommend Cassie and Pattye to anyone planning an upcoming wedding!
Here are examples of some of the services they provided that were incredibly helpful in putting together our wedding and executing it perfectly on the day of:
— Provided detailed checklists throughout the planning process to ensure we were staying on track with the needed action items
— Created an extremely thorough day-​of timeline and consulted with us to ensure that they clearly understood all of the details on how we wanted the day to go
— Coordinated with all seven of our other vendors (DJ, photographer, florist, etc.) to ensure everyone knew where and when they were supposed to be on the wedding day (This was a HUGE stress relief for my husband and I)
— Ran our wedding rehearsal and helped us get our families and bridal party organized and prepared for the ceremony
— Made suggestions and gave professional advice based off their experience with other weddings and their impression of my husband and I as a couple
— Put in extra effort to learn about our venue and understand how we wanted the flow of events to occur in different locations throughout the wedding day
There were a ton of other things they did to make it all happen, these are just a few that stood out.
On top of it all, Cassie and Pattye were so supportive, loving, professional, and fun throughout the entire process. In the days leading up to the wedding (when we thought we would be the most stressed), my husband and I were actually calm and relaxed because we felt so comfortable that Cassie and Pattye had everything taken care of.
With the help of Take the Cake Events, we had the best day of our lives at our wedding.

AMAZING LADIES!!! Patty and Cassie really make you feel like family and never once make you feel like your bugging them. Each and everytime I felt overwhelmed they calmed me down and they never complained. We always felt like we were their first priority. We worked with them for 18 months planning our daughter’s quinceañera and it was everything she ever dreamed of thanks to them. This was their first quinceañera and let me tell you, they rocked!!! They knew that our next daughter would be having one 22 months later so they added in their contract that they would honor the same price for her. They did this on their own before they worked with us and saw how crazy we are!! They made my kids feel so comfortable that many times my kids went to them at the party when they needed something, that takes a load off us big time. I would say I’m going to miss working with them but we will be hiring them for the next one so get ready ladies round 2 it is. Love you both very much and we could not have done it without you!!! Money very well spent. Honestly I could go on forever about these ladies but the best thing I can say is: HIRE THEM THEY ARE THE BEST!!!

Cassie and Pattye with Take the Cake Events were so fantastic! It’s been almost a year since they planned and executed our wedding, but we are still receiving amazingly positive feedback from our guests and friends that have seen photos!
After becoming one of the winning couples for the ACLU’s My Big Gay Illegal Wedding contest, we had a very limited time frame and budget to plan and execute our ceremony and reception. After being presented with the challenge, Cassie and Pattye jumped at the chance to deliver a truly memorable event! From our first meeting with them, they took our ideas and came up with multiple options for us to consider. Despite the limitations and our somewhat non-​traditional requests (party bus, horse-​drawn carriage, beachfront venue, food and drinks, ceremony expectations, etc.), they were able to come up with solutions that exceeded our expectations and met the restrictions with which we were presented. They were able to latch on to our style and deliver a seamless event that was magical and publication worthy!
Overall, we were blown away by their high level of communication, short response time, and quality of options presented. They showed expertise in planning our wedding and preparing for various outcomes or obstacles. With even our last minute requests handled, we didn’t have to worry about anything but our vows. They helped with scheduling, coordinating members of our wedding party, and all vendor details leading up to and on the day of the event. It made our day a piece of cake!
We highly recommend Pattye and Cassie, due to their high level of professionalism, knowledge of the Tahoe area, and ability to deliver everything that we asked for and more. Our wedding was such a special day that neither our guests or we will forget! Thank you so much for making our day!

My husband and I could not be happier that we chose Take the Cake Events to coordinate our wedding this past weekend. Cassie and Pattye are absolute experts at planning and putting on a wedding and they helped us throughout our wedding planning process and the day of our event in more ways than we can count. They took care of coordinating every little detail with our venue and vendors, developed our timeline, kept me on task with checklists and vendor recommendations, provided us with a dress steamer to keep my dress wrinkle free all day and night, set up and tore down the entire event, and even gave us a super cute wedding gift. When I was panicking the week before our wedding because I realized I hadn’t arranged the childcare that I had promised for my guests, Cassie immediately sprung into action and provided me with multiple options for childcare professionals and even confirmed that they were available before giving me their contact info. They also provided me with so much encouragement in the last few weeks leading up to our wedding when the stress levels really started to peak, and their assurances that I had everything under control and well organized were extraordinarily helpful. Our wedding could not have been more amazing and Cassie and Pattye are responsible for a big old chunk of that. Thank you so much, Cassie and Pattye, for making our wedding planning as low stress as it could possibly be and for making our wedding so incredibly beautiful and fun for us. We couldn’t have chosen better coordinators and we truly love you!

My number one recommendation to any bride is to get a day of coordinator! It’s the best money you’ll spend!
Cassie and Pattye are truly fantastic to work with! They are extremely professional, kind, responsive and attentive. We hired this great mother daughter duo to coordinate our wedding (about 90 people) at the Gatekeeper’s Museum in Tahoe City on 6÷28÷2014. They made everything go so smoothly. I didn’t have a single worry on the day of the wedding thanks to their great communication and preparation. They worked so hard throughout the day setting up, transitioning spaces and then tearing everything down.
Leading up to the wedding they were so helpful with monthly timeline check-​ins, answering random bride questions that I would have and were always available for meetings in person or on the phone. This was especially helpful as we were planning a destination wedding. Cassie and Pattye truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect.

Pattye and Cassie helped me plan my fabulous wedding in Truckee in August. They were super responsive, friendly, flexible and didn’t charge an arm and a leg. They went way above and beyond my expectiations and were so nice to work with as well. Truly, very nice and honest Mother, Daughter team.

Pattye and Cassie did a great job planning our July 6^th wedding! We used their full coordination services, «The Entire Cake», and they were fantastic throughout the whole process. They were great at coordinating not just the wedding but the meetings with the vendors prior to the wedding itself. On top of that, they always came prepared with great, creative ideas to make our event stand out. Planning the wedding was a breeze thanks to their help.
I have to say the best part was they were there the day of the wedding. If there were any last minute emergencies or problems, I wasn’t aware of them in the slightest. From my viewpoint, everything went perfectly which meant I just got to enjoy the day while they did all of the worrying! My ceremony and reception were in two separate locations, so it was great that there were two of them to cover both spots. I highly recommend them!

Cassie and Pattye are so nice. They have a great way of working with you to make an event complete. This past Christmas they helped plan my party and it was great.
