Great service. However their steak is not that good. They have great mac and cheese

First time visitor to the restaurant. Lucky to find a seat in the window. I think the front windows were a great addition. The restaurant wasn’t particularly crowded when we arrived, we were greeted promptly, and our waiter was friendly. We ordered happy hour cocktails and some dinner. An additional guest joined us for a glass of wine, but his order was forgotten by our waiter. A large party arrived for a political fundraiser in the back room and that is when our service started to slide. It was apparent that they were understaffed. This was preventable, as the fundraiser must have been scheduled in advance. I had the chicken pesto pasta and my friend had the burger. The pesto was perfectly balanced, the pasta cooked al dents, and there was plenty of chicken. Both were excellent. I would definitely return the food and hope for better service.

I can’t attest to the food — but I sincerely doubt they will have any better luck than the countless others who have failed in that location. Big sign out front says«happy hour starts at 3:00» «specials on Saturday» — yet I went on a Saturday at 3:00 and they were closed. Let that sink in. A bar closed at 3:00 on Saturday. Unilocal said they were open, website said they were open. We took our business elsewhere & won’t be back. Too many GOOD bars that want my business in Reno that actually open on Saturday afternoon.

Very much a hit and miss. I have been here a couple of times and each time they do something well and something disappointing. First time the service was very poor but the the food my finance and I ordered was excellent. The over all ambiance was very pleasant and we had a good time even with the slow service in an empty restaurant. The second time I came with both my brothers and it was a complete mess. The had a huge party going on and they all were very clearly over served. Secondly, they were out of literally the three beers is asked for. I don’t understand how you can be out of three very popular beers(Blue Moon, Stella, and another on which I forgot now) and call yourself a restaurant and bar. Food was ok, we were served by a waitress on her first day also which was ok I understood her lack of menu knowledge. I probably won’t be back.

Prior to hearing about the Unilocal GNO event I had never heard of the bridge before, so I came in here with 0 expectations. I wasn’t able to make it to the GNO event but a fellow Unilocaler informed me that my favorite beer(which I cannot find anywhere) was on tap here. Needless to say, I raced here after work. Part of the reason I’m even giving it 2 and not 1 star is that they had this beer, and that the décor of The Bridge is beautiful. The ambiance is 5 stars frankly, when I was there there was a beautiful live singer. Once we got there and sat down at the bar it took 5 minutes for the bartender to even go behind the bar. Mind you, there was probably 12 other people in the restaurant, and 2 others at the bar(one of those people worked there as they kept going behind the bar to get drinks and she was working on a schedule). After he came and poured our beers he disappeared again, this time FORANHOUR. I wanted to order food but never saw him or another server again so that was useless and I gave up on that. Eventually I just wanted my check and to leave because of the awful service. It took 20 minutes after I finished my beer for him to finally come back and dare ask if I wanted another rounds. Nope, I want to get the hell out. It sucks because I read the service here was amazing, and the food looked good. I won’t be taking my business here again, most likely.

We dined here tonight for the dining out for life event. The food was just OK. I had the chicken piccata which was a large chicken breast in a lemon and capers sauce my husband had the fish and chips which was a huge piece of fish cod and fries. I enjoyed there twice baked potato with my meal and also a house salad. The blue chips were very good as an appetizer and we were there and also enjoyed their happy hour with money off of their drinks at the bar and their appetizers. The two waiters they had did most everything in the restaurant bartending waiting on people cleaning tables they were very very busy but they seem to handle it well. One thing that was most unpleasant for us was that live entertainment it was one man playing a guitar singing rather loudly in the small area it was hard to talk to one another. We definitely would not return if they have the same man playing music in their bar. We were told the regular person who plays there was not there and he is very good.

The food is delectable! A must is the bleu chips, so crispy and a great size. And the bartenders Nick and Jason make such great cocktails! Even dealers choice always turns out to be great! Be sure to say hi to the owner too, Cheryl is a sweetheart!

I just read a review that said the original cook doesn’t work there anymore, and if that’s true — it makes sense. There were 4 of us for dinner, we all ordered different things, and none of us were impressed. We were actually quite disappointed, hoping for the same quality and taste that was at 775 Gastropub(RIP). Anyway, not too motivated to give it another chance.

Low-key place, very quiet for a Friday night when we went in! The food was really good — my gf had a steak & I had pork chops. I looooved the pork chops! Definitely recommend in you’re in the downtown area. Beautiful place from the inside.

This place is one of the most underrated places in town! It blows my mind that they aren’t packed with people. They have a wonderful bartender with a very nice accent.(…could even say a touch sexy ;)) They are always willing to accommodate any special requests you may have and they have a nice, quiet ambience.

We had both seen the Bridge and really wanted to try it since we had really enjoyed all of the other restaurants that had been in this space(Board of Trade, Adele’s, and the Blue Trout) and we’re more than excited to get in for the Prix Fix valentines dinner. We walked into a little confusion on the front end, but that got sorted out very quickly and they even gave my wife a red carnation. Nice touch! The drink selection was outstanding and Nathan our server was absolutely fantastic. We were placed in the front room in the window area and got to watch the street. We ordered the Blue Chips(Gorgonzola fondue drizzled over fresh made potato chips and green onions with a balsamic reduction), Caprese Salad for two, the surf and turf for two(New York Strip and Lobster Risotto) along with the Red Velvet cheesecake and some strawberry shortcake type item. Again, Nathan did a great job and had our drinks out to us in no time along with getting our order in very quickly. The Blue chips were pretty tasty and dinner was looking up until the Caprese salad showed up. The serving size was two slices of the Mozzarella along with a single medium sized tomato made into 3 slices. The tomato was not ripe, and was really mealy. Things happen, I get it and so we proceeded on to the main course which was the NY steak and risotto. The steak showed up plated with three asparagus sticks and a dollop of lobster risotto. My wife’s steak was barely medium rare and the asparagus was way over cooked and stringy. The risotto was not cooked correctly and rather lumpy. My steak was over cooked and the risotto was slightly crunchy, although there were nice size chunks of lobster that tasted very fresh. When dessert showed up, again the plating was just terrible that had random plates and really had no appeal to draw me in. The strawberry dessert consisted of chocolate dipped strawberries that were covered in what should have been called mini-jawbreakers. They were dipped in some sort of chocolate sauce and rolled in the red BB’s. My wife suggested that I just swallow the strawberry whole rather than chewing it up after the first ominous sounds of the cracking teeth emanated throughout the room. There was heart shaped cake in the middle of the plate that tasted more like a Twinkie instead of the fresh strawberry shortcake that we thought was going to be involved. My wife ordered the«Red Velvet cheesecake«which had the taste that was oddly reminiscent of a little Debbie snack cake. I wouldn’t have had too much issue with the food if it hadn’t been for the bill. The cost was $ 120.00 per couple or $ 65.00 per person if ordered individually. That’s a rather high cost for the level of food that we were given. Unfortunately, I don’t think that we will be crossing this Bridge again. Great service, but suboptimal food.

I’ve been here a few times and was pretty satisfied but I won’t be returning after my last visit. My friend and I went around 6 on a weekend night and there was one other couple in the restaurant. Our host was pleasant and attentive for about the first 5 – 10 minutes. We ordered the bleu chip appetizer and as always, it was delicious. While we were waiting for our entrée the staff were either having very loud and inappropriate personal conversations across the bar and dining area, or they disappeared completely. We split a seafood entrée(we asked the waiter if that was okay when ordering and were told yes), it comes to the table on one plate and he brings us another empty one and says, «It’s pretty messy so I figured you guys could just split it up yourselves.» …how does this make sense? Whatever, we split it up and there were shells throughout the entire dish. We wanted dessert but didn’t bother staying. Between the appetizer, split entrée, and glass of wine our meal was about $ 45, and for that kind of service it was absolutely not worth it.

They have some serious kitchen and service organization issues to work out… especially when compared to other dining options around Reno and at the same price point… We came with a party of 12 for dinner, and had pretty bad service… to be fair the place was full, but that shouldn’t excuse some of the things that happened. Also, dinner service took a LONG2 ½ hours. They did allow us to split us the check between couples. 1) We ordered some appetizers, which the blue chips were very good. We also ordered Chicken poutine, but it came with everything — except the chicken. The waitress said that they forgot the chicken because they were so busy. They still charged us a discounted $ 5 for an appetizer that was missing the main ingredient… 2) We ordered a bottle of Malbec wine. The waitress brought us a bottle that was already opened out of our sight — which I did not appreciate. Very improper wine service. I am not saying they did it to purposely hide anything, but we really don’t know if the bottle was really opened right then, or if something else is happening. 3) Most in our party ordered a salad to come before the main course, but half received our salads and it took a while for the last half to get theirs. My wife was supposed to get a vinaigrette with her salad, but it came dry. When she asked the waitress for her vinaigrette she was told to use the oil and vinegar that was at the side of the table… We finally explained that we wanted a vinaigrette and not just oil and vinegar, and she brought out the proper dressing. 3b) I chose the Caesar salad which, honestly, was nothing special. The menu said it had anchovies, but I could not taste it(I actually wanted to taste it or at least a hint of it). The garlic croutons and shrimp I paid extra for ended up being a slice of un-toasted french bread with a little bit of garlic spread on it and some shrimp on top… 4) Almost Immediately after getting our salad, my wife and I got our main entrée, while the rest of the party didn’t get any entrees for the next 20 – 25 minutes. So we were the only two people out of twelve that had our dinner, while some people in our party had not even gotten their salad. Very awkward. The last two people in our party finally received their entrees when most of the party was almost done eating. 5) I ordered the Grilled Lamb Chops and they were over-cooked well-done. My wife and I somehow got our entrees 20 – 25 minutes before everyone else in our party, and it was still overcooked and very dry. Not even close to worth the $ 32 for the dish :( 6) At the end I ordered a coffee. It came out with the normal cream and sugar on the side. As I finished the last of my coffee… !!! I FOUNDTWOOLDLEMONSEEDSATTHEBOTTOMOFMYCUP!!! !!! Yeah it seems kind of funny now, but at the time, when I saw it I was a little freaked out. To have old seeds at the bottom of a coffee cup can indicate serious sanitation and quality control problems. I was offered another cup of coffee, but I politely passed.

Great place for an after meeting cocktail or dinner! The location is one that seems to constantly have new restaurants in and out. I can honestly say I hope this one stays. Service is always pretty friendly. This last visit it was a bit slow, but the several bottles of wine we had kept everyone entertained. In their defense, there was some sort of painting class going on here like a Picasso and Wine type of thing. Looked like everyone was having a good time. Most in our party seemed to enjoy their food. The carnitas nachos left us wanting though. Not much in the way of toppings and the carnitas was pretty non-existent. Of what there was, it was pretty good. Dessert here is always awesome. They have the best brownie sundae. Will likely be back again and hope to see them keep getting better.

First time here. Had a Groupon, saved $ 8. This fairly new restaurant is clean and trendy in appearance. Service was quick and friendly, but it was not very crowded. The food was good and reasonably priced. Will definitely give it another go and update review, if necessary. Have another Groupon for Happy Hour.

A nice lunch today! Cajun steak salad was so yummy, roasted tomatoes with a lot of blue cheese & tender and spiced to perfection steak. The turkey burger and sweet potato fries were very good and the Mary Rose sauce as an accompaniment was delicious. The Mary Rose sauce is made with whiskey ! The staff were all friendly too. Come try this midtown establishment.

I really hope that The Bridge can break the curse of their location and stick around for a long time. I’ve been here mostly for lunch and have done both sit down and take out orders. One of my favorites is their pastrami sliders, they are SO good! Their sweet potato fries are delicious as well, crunchy, but not overcooked or greasy. I took a business colleague to lunch here once when he was in town on business and he said the reuben sandwich was the best he had ever had. This guy travels the world for a living, so you know it’s good! The price is reasonable for the portion size and they have an extensive bar selection. 5÷1÷15 I went here for lunch today and had my usual pastrami sliders with sweet potato fries. For the first time, they were not good at all. They were all fat with no meat. But the owners made it right. They took the sliders off our check and gave us a coupon to come back and get tastier ones. Thank you Bridge for making it right!

This place had many pros and cons for me. I think my friend and I may have came on an off night. I used to love 775 Gastropub. I truly enjoyed many aspects of this restaurant and would love to come back and try it again. Pro: Quick seating time, extensive menu, delicious Moscow Mules, fun appetizers, BLEUCHIPS(which are to die for), and compensation for inadequate main dish. Cons: an over extensive wait time for main dish; it took an hour for a salmon wrap, which was REALLY soggy. UPDATE: I went here again after receiving an email from you guys. I received impeccable service, my salad was delicious, and I came on a Monday where they have an appetizer special. I definitely needed more blue chips in my life. AMAZING!

Discussing the meal and experience with my friends after… So the food was 5 stars… The décor is 5 stars… The service is 5 stars… I recon this is what a 5 star lunch is all about! Me and two friends — I had the mac n Cheese/Brisket burger with fries. Rediculous! So tasty and so many different flavor profiles. The meat was cooked to order and done exactly as requested. The fries are fresh cut and not over-cooked. A dang fine meal. My cohorts had a rueben sandy with sweet potato fries and the other had the buttternut squash tart with a salad. I know right… sounds great and it was! The menu is vast, not crazy vast, but vast enough to please everyone. They have a cool 10 minute lunch deal for dine-in or take out as well that is sure to please the office crowd nearby. Oh yeah… try the blue chips appetizer. An old fav from Gastropub that are delish! You gotta try this joint.

So lately I’ve been waiting to give new places a try and that was my plan for The Bridge, especially after we were able to attend their soft opening night and get a little preview… But funny how things work out. My wife was up for some more of those Chicken Sliders! So we decided to head back WAAAAY before we planned to. And we got what we expected. Quickly disappearing Blue Chips, Tasty sliders, mac and cheese for my picky daughter. My son didn’t complain about his burger and I thoroughly enjoyed my reuben. And a handful of «newly opened business» missteps. But like any good business they apologized and fixed all of it, well almost all. The Moscows this time were flat and just couldn’t be fixed. The price wasn’t so bad anyway. The place was pleasantly busy and the service was great Michelle checked in on us even with our food taking a little bit longer than expected. All in all the evening was good and once they get all the new opening kinks worked out the place will live up to it’s name as a bridge between Midtown and Downtown. Particularly if they get those Moscow Mules dialed back in to the«soft opening» standard. When I come back I look forward to trying out some of the other house made salad dressings. As she listed them off I notice a few unique sounding ones that piqued my interest.
