Established in 2012.

After graduating from UNR, I attended an advanced law school program at California Western School of Law in San Diego. Upon graduation, I interned for local criminal defense attorney, David Houston, while I studied for the bar exam. After passing the Nevada bar exam, I was offered an associate position with a law firm practicing family law (almost exclusively) and criminal defense. Over the last three years, I have represented my clients in countless hearings and bench trials.

In the summer of 2012, I opened my own law firm — The Law Office of Jamie C. Henry, concentrating solely on family law matters. Based on my experience in the industry, in February of 2013, I was awarded an indigent defense contract in Douglas County, Nevada. Under this contract, I represent clients in both misdemeanor and felony charges ranging from DUI violations to assault and battery charges and felony theft and burglary. I have worked with clients from their initial appearance to their appeal.

Business Owner

Jamie started her own law firm in the summer of 2012 practicing family law exclusively. In February of 2013, she was offered an indigent criminal defense contract in Douglas County, Nevada, which she was able to manage under her new practice. Over the course of the last 3 years, her business has grown exponentially. As her business continues to grow, she continues to gain invaluable experience and expand her knowledge base in the frequently emerging issues of family law and criminal defense.

Jamie was awarded the Client Distinction Award from Martindale Hubbell for the years 2012 and 2013 and the Client Choice Award from AVVO for the year 2013. In addition, Jamie just received the prestigious TOP 10 UNDER 40 Attorney Award for the State of Nevada from the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys.

Jamie’s goal is to provide prompt, efficient and effective legal counseling and representation by always being accessible and responsive to her clients’ individual needs.
