Clauss Bakery and Cafe

A favorite Lunch spot. They have pork burgers on the grill in the summer months and they are favorite from all of us at work. My favorite is the egg salad sandwich as far lunch is concerned. The doughnuts are excellent and any time I take someone a sugar cookie they rave about how phenomenal they are.

This place has a reputation for having great doughnuts and other baked goods and it lives up to it!
This is one of the few places around that does the old fashioned homemade doughnuts that I am used to. They have cake doughnuts (blueberry, chocolate, etc), long johns (maple, chocolate, white) filled doughnuts (Bevarian cream, butter cream, whipped), Apple fritters and lots more! Great selection!
They also make brownies that are absolutely to die for and I’m sure they have a lot of other great things that I just haven’t tried yet.
The owner served us when we were there she was super friendly and we didn’t feel rushed. She said on most days her husband makes the doughnuts everyday. We got some he did not make and they were still great.
You will probably want to show up early if you want a good selection. We got there around 9am on a Friday and they were pretty picked over.
All in all best doughnuts around, great service. I will be back for sure!
