2000 Lake Washington

I give a four star rating because I have only lived here since November 10. But so far I am very happy here. The staff has been extremely helpful in making sure I am satisfied with my place. The two maintenance issues I have had (which I am pretty sure were related) were handled promptly. The complex is very well kept and in a great neighborhood. It is nice and quiet and the neighbors have all been friendly.
My experience here has been very good. I can’t imagine how they received some of the awful reviews they did. Just hurtful…

We’re not the type of people who contact maintenance whenever a light bulb goes out. We hate it. We avoid it AND YET we submitted over 20 maintenance requests in one year. Many of them were resubmits, because our original submissions were lost.
We wiped our counters and cleaned daily and had spiders and ants YEAR ROUND, DAILY, CONSTANTLY. We had the pest inspector come to our apartment more than 5 time in one year. We found them in our food cabinets, in our bed, in our clothes, bathtub. When I inquired about this in the office, the manager said, that this wasn’t her fault because the apartments were built on an ant hill and shrugged. I am so glad that I recorded our meeting, because I couldn’t believe that she said it. What I really didn’t understand is, if you knowledge that your building has a pest issue, WHY DO YOU ONLY PAY FOR THE PEST GUY TO COME ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS TO ONCE A MONTH???
The «upgrades» were purely cosmetic to cheaply made buildings that were falling apart. Our closet doors, kitchen drawers, bathroom cabinets were constantly off their cheap hinges. They spent a lot of time and money on cosmetic stuff like a new sign, another new sign with a new font, the pool which is only in use about 4 months of the year, and making the office look chic, but didn’t fix many of the very basic building needs. They hired contractors who did the work possibly unlicensed, as I saw glaring mistakes in our apartment, safety issues as they were working on neighboring apartments, and heard from one neighbor that she was forced to move when the workers cut a water line on an apartment upstairs, which fludded into hers. She said it was very difficult to get anyone from the office to cut off the water, fix her apartment, talk to her. When she had to move buildings they did nothing to help her even though she was disabled. They did «offer» for her to pay the staff to help her move. Oh and much of her stuff was ruined and she had to fight with the insurance company. Oh and this all happend during the holidays. Lipstick on one of those hairless cat.
There was one staff member who had some bad foot in mouth syndrome. The manager seemed conveniently ignorant about a lot of things and very good at not taking responsibility for anything.
When they repaved the parking areas, they did ²⁄₃ of the complex at the same time, giving very little warning to residents. They basically said, street park and if you cant find a spot you are SOL. They didn’t coordinate any plan.
They never cleaned the fitness center and much of the equipment was broken for the entire year.
They didn’t enforce any rules, ever. Kids left alone in the pool/​spa. People with dogs in the clubhouse and pool. Drunk/​high people in the gym. Dog shit everywhere. Loud neighbors throwing parties until 3 am. Don’t waste your time trying to get management to help you, they won’t do shit. The security service often didn’t come for calls and won’t let you call anonymously.
Cars were broken into. Mail was stolen. Packages got misplaced in the office for months at a time. The office never took any accountability.
Don’t even consider this apartment. You couldn’t pay me to live there again. I’ve lived in ghettos in 3^rd world countries where I have been treated with more respect than I was at 2000 Lake Washington.

We moved in here in August and that’s when things started going down hill. It took maintenance a month to come to our apartment to fix things that should’ve been fixed on before move in. And there definition of upgrades are a joke. First they put really cheap flooring down (not carpet). I sweep and mop it all the time and it’s still super slippery. My 14 month always slips and falls on it. Last night his feet went out from under him and he landed on his back and slammed his head on the ground. This is A MAJOR liability. I slip too, it’s not just him. We are saving up and breaking the lease. This is bull. They don’t care about you after you move in. Go to apartment ratings to see the other tenants issues.

The only reason i did 1 star its cause it wouldnt let me do 0 stars. For God sake dont ever move to this complex, look else where. Worts management ppl ever rude neigboors, appts very poorly built etc etc etc… Only reason i lived there for a year was cause the lake its right there. Dont let their «friendly» faces fool you. Dont believe me? Go ahead and sign a lease so u can see by yourself. This appts are a big NO NO NO!

I recently moved out of Marina Landing after being there for just over 3-​years. I enjoyed the apartment, the clubhouse and particularly the location just across the street from Gene Coulon Park in Renton. The unit itself with fairly nice for a mid-​range apartment.
The downsides, the rent was a bit high I paid about $ 1300 for a 2-​bed, 2-​bath 900-​sq/​ft unit, plus you pay for your own water, sewage and garbage, which ran around $ 80 – 100 /​month. Also, in an effort to keep the grounds and buildings clean and well maintained (which they did a good job of) they would regularly schedule jobs which required them to enter your unit, go on your deck, or make you move your car. They would keep up great communication with notices and letters, however I found that about 50% of the time I would take the items off my deck for them to clean or move my car for painting or paving and the work didn’t get done on the day scheduled and I would have to do it all again. I’m not sure if it’s the fault of the management or the service provider, but I found that fairly annoying.
Anyway, the bottom line is, if you’re looking for a great central location with easy park/​Lake Washington access, friendly neighbors and a clean/​well maintained apartment complex but don’t mind paying a bit extra then this place may be for you.
