We wash cars by hand and do a walk-​around inspection to make sure nothing falls below our notice. Emerald City Detailing and Auto Spa is a family owned business with years of experience in the automotive industry. Emerald City Detailing and Auto Spa was established in 2013 with one goal in mind: to bring out the best of every vehicle that comes through our shop! We stand behind our reputation of great customer service and passion for cars, and we hope to continue to meet your expectations of a quality, thorough detailing job for many years to come!

I was born in Long Beach California and moved to Seattle in 1980. Raised in a single-​parent household, my mother sometimes worked three or more jobs to put food on the table. I learned early the importance of working hard and promised myself that one day I’d be able to show my Mom how much I appreciated all that she did for me. Emerald City Detailing is a family owned business which I hope to pass down to my daughter Jasmine and many generations to come, and my goal is to treat every customer that comes into this place of business like family. I don’t believe in shortcuts or excuses and I don’t allow that attitude in my shop. Every customer, every service, is important.

I love the outdoors, music, football (GO HAWKS!), golf, literature, and spending time with my family. I love seeing other people smile, making a positive impact in their lives however I can, and the feeling of pride in a job well done. Thank you for your business and for letting us take care of your vehicles.

It is unbelievable how unprofessional this company is. I am generally extremely positive with reviews online because I understand how hard it is to run a small business, and I know people can be petty, but there is just no excuse here.
I made an appointment almost a month ahead of time because of their packed schedule (and the fact that I guess they no longer operate on Sundays). We had to jump through hoops and arrange to commute to work extremely early so that we could make their weekday, early morning appointment.
When we arrived to get the car done, they said it would be 6 hours– from 8AM to 2PM. The person who scheduled the appointment on the phone, who knew both the service I had requested and the car I was bringing in (a hatchback) quoted me a 1 – 2 hour appointment. On top of it all, they said there would be an additional $ 40 charge over «heavy soil” — which was total and utter lie, as the car had no soil whatsoever. When pressed about what he meant by «heavy soil», he said there were a few loose papers in the back of the car that he would need to bag. I could not believe what I was hearing; this was clearly an attempt at a needless last-​minute surcharge.
Obviously we don’t have 6 hours to sit around in Renton for a detailing service, so we had to leave and the entire morning (and month of waiting) was all for nothing. I can’t even review their services because the appointment was cancelled, but these people do not understand the concept of customer service.

Bought a Groupon to detail my husband’s car. I figured I would give it a shot, it’s a groupon, so i wasn’t wasting much. I am so incredibly impressed and would pay full price. The owner was so nice, everyone I spoke to was. They were considerate kind and they had it done on time. I would highly recommend.

Not bad, but not great. Exterior looks pretty good, but it doesn’t look like there was any sort of polish or waxing compound used on the paint. There is still some residue from a bug or something left on the hood that should have come up if the «Mr. Miagi, wax on wax off method was employed. I was able to scratch it off with my finger nail. Carpet, dash and instrument panel look god. Interior door panels didn’t get the TLC they should have though. I know new cars are plasticy, but there has to be something to apply to get them to luster and reduce fine scratches in them. Speaker grilles didn’t get any treatment, nor did my leather seats get any conditioner. I was told it would be extra to apply conditioner. No thanks, I can get that at my house for the price of the $ 5 bottle of stuff from the store and a few minutes. Overall the car is clean, but I have had better attention to detail by other places. I guess I’ll go back to getting a mobile detailer to come out. My Groupon may have reduced the level of care my car received. Also was told when I scheduled that it would be a few weeks lead time to wait before coming in. I can’t complain too much for the price I paid, but thought it would have come out slightly better. 3 Stars is all I can give them.

WORST. Tried to book in for y Groupon car wash for 10 weeks now. Finally was booked in for Jan 3rd and they are closed that day. Called the guy and no answer as it has been in the last 10 weeks. He said he can get me in a month from now even though they screwed up and was very rude on the phone. Every time ive called they either dont pick up, dont return messages or the person cannot speak/​understand English. Just another terribly run business.

I have always dreamed of getting my car detailed, and this was literally a dream come true for me! Not only were they friendly, but they were so detailed, and even removed the gum from my side pocket (I know, I know, why would I put gum there?). I didn’t even ask them to do it, and was sure it would cost extra, but it didn’t. AND I had a dried pumpkin under my passenger seat from a long time ago. Again, I know this is gross, but it rolled under the seat when I was taking it to the compost bin, and I forgot it and then it exploded under my seat. I scrubbed it over and over, but it still had dried pumpkin there. Again, they cleaned it beautifully without charging me extra! I know that businesses hardly make anything off Groupons, and mine was a Groupon deal. They had to make $ 20 tops, if that, and took several hours and probably several guys to make my car beautiful. I gave them a nice tip, but all I can really do is give them my repeat business (which I will), and wholeheartedly recommend them to others, which I’m doing now! They did such a good job, in fact, that I am motivated to keep my car as nice as possible to showcase the work they did. But life happens, and cars get dirty, so I’ll be returning once the next pumpkin rolls around!

My dad got me a groupon for Christmas last year, I drive a convertible so I called around May to schedule a service, they couldn’t get me in until August 24th. What a joke! (Remind you, the guy was very nice until I mentioned I had a groupon) so I scheduled my appointment. August 20th rolls around, I call to confirm and there’s no record of me ever making an appointment! Oh great. So then they were backed up until about a week ago. I call again to confirm my appointment, nope never heard of me again!
I’m calling groupon in the morning & getting my dads money back. What a waste!
BTW, to these other reviews: you should not have to pay an extra $ 45 for dog hair removal. Are you kidding? They’re already vacuuming out the car… what a load of crap! That would be like you getting a hair cut and you have to pay extra for them to condition your hair after shampooing it. Yeah right.

I’ve been to this shop twice now and my car has been beautifully detailed, nice and clean and polished. The owner is incredibly nice. His employees also were very pleasant. I used a Groupon both times and it was a super deal. I wouldn’t have found this place if not for the Groupon. I will definitely be returning. My car hadn’t looked as nice since the last detailing and since I purchased the car new.

First of all, I’m glad to find a hand carwash center in Seattle. The guy that owns this place was super nice. The guys that washed my car did an amazing job and they all were very informative. I will certainly be going back here

This place does an outstanding job. I’m not sure if the groupon comes out to be a good deal or not once you pay for upgrades, but my car looks great! I carpool kids in my Lexus SUV with light beige carpeting so it was trashed. Every stain is out and stain free. They even cleaned the trunk and car mats.
The exterior had several marks and those were also removed. I did pay an extra $ 40 for soiled carpets and $ 50 for a upgraded wax job. Total cost was $ 180. I honestly don’t know if that’s a good price or not since I was sold upgrades, which is the only reason for the 4 star review. For the detailing, definite 5+ star.
You won’t be disappointed.

When I picked up my car from detailing, a 2 inch chip of paint was missing on one of the doors. The paint was pressure washed off! Although this damage was not recorded in the walk-​through when we dropped it off, the employee vehemently refused that it was new damage. The employee did not apologize and argued with us.
If the company had handled the situation differently by being honest and up-​front, my review here would have been different. It would have been professional to tell me about the damage instead of waiting for me to find it. Fortunately, the company had the paint repaired as I expected.
I will not come back or recommend.

Got my car detailed here today. I purchased a Groupon and had to wait for 3 months for an appointment (I was particular in wanting the appointment on a weekend).
They were so friendly and did a thorough job in cleaning my car. Would surely recommend this place to my friends.
They cleaned everywhere except under the hood. When asked for, they said engine detailing is not part of the package. It would have been great if they had at least dusted (not detailing) under the hood. Apart with this, I am fully satisfied with their service.

We bought a package from groupon. When we took our car in, they insisted on charging us an additional $ 40, saying the car is dirty (even though we take it to the car wash often).
The car looks great but they should stand behind the offer they make through groupon. I feel they are dishonest in this regard. I was going to take our other car there, but have decided not to do repeat business with this place.

Overall they did a great job cleaning the car. I paid extra for the deep shampoo of the rear carpet and that turned out great. The outside of the car and tires were beautiful also. As much as I’d love to give them four stars they damaged the inside of my car so they get three stars. When I returned for my car I found brown spots all over my console that weren’t there before! I informed the person who worked on my car but he could not give me an explanation. So now my car has these permanent spots that are very visible and ugly! I posted two photos to this Unilocal page.

So I got an email from the owner of the business explaining that they don’t roll the windows down to clean the tops for liability reasons. Seems iffy to me… And he apologized for not dusting my instrument cluster. He offered to redo my car for half price next time and asked that I send him pictures of the dirt left on my car. It seems the owner really cares about the reviews here and actually took steps to fix the issue, which I appreciate. It would have been nice to offer to fix the issue for free. I still won’t go back.

Got a groupon for an interior and exterior cleaning. This is my first time gettin detailing but i figured needed some new year makeover and clean up for my baby. Havent cleaned or washed in about 4 months plus i have a pomeranian and maltese tbat loves car rides. :) the owner was super friendly and explained that the deal didnt cover dog hair, covering it would be another 45. Completely understandable.
3 hours later. My baby looks so good! I Would have given 5 stars but as i was driving off i realized my middle compartment wasnt vacuumed or cleaned. Overall, good experience but that miss was a bummer.

Overall I’m happy with my experience. Car came back fresh smelling, «like new» clean and very shiney. They finished it when they said they would. But Probably I won’t be back…
Only because they did leave some cosmetic damage. I would caution against bringing a very compact car or 2 door sport here because the technicians had a hard time maneuvering their equipment in my vehicle and left some melt marks on my dash and melted the corner of my passenger floor mat. Also My keyless entry isn’t working now. Still researching this, might just be the timing of the battery

I am seriously taken back by the customer service here!
I’m from Southern California where every block has a car wash facility. I had to drive 20 min to get here but it was well worth it!
The service was fast and very detail. My car was SOO dirty due to hiking trips, my doggie and basically living in my car. When I open the door I felt like I was stepping into a brand new car! I am seriously still so shocked. I had to pull over and write this review.
This is a family owned business so you’ll get that top notch customer service for half the price you would pay anywhere else. Honestly, 30 bucks for car wash AND detail interior cleaning? What more can you ask for. I most definitely found my go to car wash spot!
