Great honest, quick service and very reasonable prices. I called Ekrantech and Alex talked with me for almost a half hour to troubleshoot and determine the problem with my washing machine before he even came over. He said it could be a simple inexpensive fix with the belt system, or a very expensive fix with the transmission. If it was the transmission he suggested I purchase a new machine. I also asked if he could fix the light in my fridge while he was here for which he only charged me a minimal charge. It barely covered his gas. As to the washer, unfortunately it was 13 years old and on it’s last leg. Alex had tried replacing a few parts before giving it the last rites. I said I would eat the cost of the parts he had installed since he had spent so much time trying to repair it. His answer was that he would split the cost of the parts he could not return, which again was unbelievably minimal. I can’t say enough good things about Alex. I finally found my forever appliance repair company. I only hope that all these amazing reviews doesn’t make him so popular that he won’t have time when I need him. :)

Our drier had a burning smell after the last load. I called Ekrantech based on the many five star Unilocal reviews. Alex was great. Same day service, reasonable price, and thorough professionalism. He went out of his way to explain how the problem occurred and how to avoid it in the future. Alex is a friendly, likable person who I highly recommend.

Alex is great. Gave me a quote over the phone, showed up within an hour after I initially called, and troubleshot the problem. He could have also made money, but advised me against a repair and agreed that just getting a new dishwasher would be cheaper than having it repaired. Thanks for your honesty, and although I am hoping nothing else breaks, we’ll call you first next time!

WOW. I would not believe it if you had told me about it, but here is a service that really lives up to the old way of doing things. Great work ethic combined with customer service and good honest pricing. You cannot get better than that. This is the only company you should call when you need appliance repair.

Called Alex early in the morning and he was able to give me a rate right after I explain the problem. Came by the same day and found out that it had nothing to do with my broken washer, but a clogged pipe. Gave me a discount (referral rate) and only charged me the diagnosis fee. Very thorough, courteous. Would call again if I have other appliance problems.

My gas oven stopped working after years of reliable operation. I did a little research and was fairly sure that the igniter had failed. After finding Ekrantech on Unilocal,I called Alex, sent a picture of the make/​model of my oven, and described the problem. Alex offered same day service at a reasonable price. By the time I came home from work, he had already completed the repair and I was able to use the oven to make dinner. Thanks for the excellent service Alex!

Our oven was dead, I had two kids to feed and my husband and my parents! We looked for a company to come out and came across Ekrantech, we called and Alex was super helpful, we problem shot over the phone and he gave me a reasonable quote for an appointment the very next morning. Not even thirty minutes later, Alex called back and asked if I did not mind if he came out tonight. Of course I did not mind! He was at our home in less than 30 min and less than an hour later our oven was fixed with a part replaced and it cost under $ 185. This was amazing! He was super helpful, great customer service and definitely calling on him again if another appliance goes out. Also had him look at our TV and he suggested replacing it vs fixing it. Talk about honesty!!! Good honest old fashioned business!

When my microwave went kaput, I called Ekrantech and Alex immediately answered, listened to my problem and scheduled a next-​day appointment. He arrived on time, and for $ 45 he worked for several hours trying to find a way to resurrect my microwave. In the end, he took it back to his store for further evaluation, then called me the following day. In my case, the microwave was unfixable, but Alex had researched the best deals he could find for me to replace this one right away. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much great service for only $ 45. I recommend this company highly.

I was having a problem with my TV I called Alex and he walked me through on how to fix it. He was very nice and professional. He is the guy to call when you want good and honest work.

I called Alex around 1PM on a Saturday, and he was at my place around 1:30 to help fix my refrigerator’s ice maker. He explained the problem and provided me tips on how to prevent it in the future. I called and told them what the problem was. Alex was able to quote me an approx. estimate on the phone and was spot on! This guy knows his stuff! It was fixed in an hour. Not only did he fix it but showed me how to prevent the same thing from happening again. Very friendly, professional and best of all it was fixed with a great low price!

5 Star for Alex and Ekrantech ALL THE WAY. I called Alex to assist me to find a belt that broke from my Kenmore dryer. Alex was extremely helpful and went out of his way to not only help me find the belt but also helped me install the belt on my dryer. Alex is very knowledgeable, very polite, professional and communicative. He helped fixed my dryer in little time. I will definitely recommend Alex to everybody I know. Service and price like his is hard to find. Not too many people you can trust out there but Alex is one person I felt comfortable with and can trust. I had a washer that was leaking through the front door — apparently the drum was not stable when running and it was slowly chipping away at the door.
Alex was prompt with everything, calls, appointment, and my endless questions. He’s a nice person and from the looks of it enjoys the work because he was enthusiastic about explaining the mechanics of everything and was very helpful.

I chose Ekrantech because of the reviews. I was not disappointed. I called him once and he asked me some questions and he gave some possibilities of the problems. I tried them, it worked, then it stopped working. I called him again and he came over. Alex opened up the my dryer. Located the issue and told me the price of the whole thing, i thought it was reasonable. Alex explained everything to me. I felt very comfortable with him and felt like he was family.

I rarely write a review but I just had to share how professional, affordable, honest and simply amazing Alex is. He came the same day of my phone call and completed the work the very next day. My old oven was broken and he was able to fix it. I had called 3 other places and they just didn’t have the parts or they were just outrageously expensive. Don’t look more call Alex and he will take care of you!!!
