Northridge Diagnostic Imaging Center

Don’t go to this place! RUUUN away… there are a lot ultrasound or imaging Centres better than this place… This is the first time my OB GYM refer me here for a pelvic ultrasound and it is the worst experience I have… First of all, the location is bad, it is opposite to the Northridge hospital but it is in a small old building, you could miss it easily and the parking lot is so small and it is very hard to enter as there is a bus stop right next to the entrance!
Secondly, the interior and the bathroom is so old and it looks so dated & run down in their 80’s…this made this place looks a really sad and depressed place to come…
I was led to an ultrasound room on the 2^nd floor facing the busy Roscoe street with a window wide open located on the top of a bus stop. The window was covered half with some broken blinds that leave huge gaps in between! seriously??? people in the opposite building can see you change if they want to… I have to hide myself behind the cover sheet to change. This is totally unacceptable.
The ultrasound technician who had such a mean face come with an intern does not even say hello, she just give me instruction and orders of how to position myself… worse ultra sound experience ever! Will never go back!

My four month old daughter needed to have a barium swallow test done, which I was seriously dreading. I was expecting it to be a horrible, traumatic experience for both me and my daughter and luckily I couldn’t have been more wrong. She couldn’t eat or drink anything for 6 hours before the procedure, which is an incredibly long time for an infant to have to go without eating, so she was really fussy when we got there and I was really stressed. Our appointment time was 8:00 but we were told to get there at 7:45, we got there at 7:35 and we were called back at 7:58. They immediately gave her a bottle (phew!) and were super gentle with her and the best part was I was standing there with her, holding her bottle with one hand and holding her hand with the other. Next thing I knew she was done with the bottle and cooing and giggling at one of the techs that were helping position her. They were all so informative, super friendly and somehow managed to completely ease my nerves and made it an enjoyable experience for my daughter. I was shocked, I expected it to go horribly and it went great. These people definitely have experience with babies and obviously know what they’re doing. I couldn’t be more happy with them. (Note: I have had very bad experiences at other places with my daughter that I have also reviewed.)

I went in to have a procedure done and as soon as I reached the second floor I was greeted with a smile. The girl in the front, Sarah, took care of me. She asked me how my day was and took the time to make sure I understood what I was having done. The technician who did my exam was wonderful as well. Because of the sincere attention I got, I will always come back to this location when needed.

I made an appointment at this location and when I came for my appointment, they told me it was at there other location across the street. The lady at the front desk gave me bad directions and I got into a car accident looking for the place. This could’ve all been avoided if I was given the right address in the initial appointment.

Very unorganized, poor service, lack of giving good instructions to patients. I only gave them 2 stars because the tech was very nice and fast. The front desk needs to know what they are talking about before telling patients the wrong information.

They are awful! Especially their center just on the other side of roscoe. I have been there four times and have never had a wait that wasn’t at least an hour. And it is the most uncomfortable wait possible! There is not enough chairs in their tiny waiting room. I had to sit on the floor with my four year old granddaughter.

2÷17÷2016 update after going there: WHY doesn’t the outgoing message point out that there are TWO separate offices a block apart? WHY? How hard would that be? I received a referral to go to 8227 Reseda Blvd for an X-​ray. I phoned to make an appointment. The outgoing message says «there are no appointments for X-​rays, they are on a walk-​in basis only. For the address, press 2.» The address is stated as 8227 Reseda Blvd.
I drive to 8227 Reseda Blvd, walk to the front desk to check in. The girl there tells me the walk-​in X-​rays are at the OTHER office, a block north, 8327 Reseda Blvd, and hands me a little map. Okay, now I have to turn left out of the driveway onto busy Reseda Blvd, then turn left again across 2 lanes of traffic into the other office. If I had had the correct address before driving there, I would have just been able to turn right into the correct driveway to begin with, EASY. WHY doesn’t the outgoing message tell you that 8227 is only for mammos while 8327 is for X-​rays and bone scans??? THAT INFORMATION WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL. That said, the X-​ray technician was nice.
2÷10÷2016 I haven’t been there yet but just spent 20 minutes on the phone with the receptionist, trying to make an appointment, her English was SO BAD I couldn’t understand her and she couldn’t understand me. I had to spell «Health Net» three times, (she sounded very confused as if she’d never heard of «Health Net» before???) and then I gave her my health insurance member number THREE TIMES and even though I spelled it S-​L-​O-​W-​L-​Y and spoke extra C-​L-​E-​A-​R-​L-​Y she could not get it even by the third time. I finally said can I please speak to someone who speaks English??? She did transfer me to someone who spoke English and I was able to make an appointment. Sheesh! I hope that is not indicative of the competence of the other people who work here.

The staffs treat patients professionally but the equipments are not reliable here.
My mother visited here for «Nuclear Medicine Thyroid Imaging with Uptake». For this specific imaging, she went there 3 times.
1^st time to take a medication,
2^nd time (6 hours later), get the imaging done,
3^rd time (next day) to measure the thyroid.
A week later, we got the test result which says:
Uptake values are not reliable on this exam due to equipment malfunction…
And at the end, they offered her to repeat this exam with NO ADDITIONAL COST.
That’s very nice of them to offer this with no additional cost. But how about the time that she spent and the medication that she took.
Everything is not the cost. The medication side effects and Time matter the most.
I’m hoping for her next visit the equipment is fixed!

The prior reviews with pictures of the chairs are out dated. All the chairs have been recovered in a vinyl like material. Cleaned up.

Okay they tell me to
Come at 8:00 pm and not to be late. I was 3 minutes late. Receptionist was rude but was nothing special that any high school kid could do the job. Waited 1:40 minutes for an MRI, ironic is that they always come to my office and ask for referrals. Are you kidding me. This why I send to PRO Health imaging or West Hills Hospital or even across the street.

Brought my wife in for a painful procedure second time because the first time some imbecile sent us to a wrong clinic. We come in on time but they send us upstairs for another test which we find out 30 minutes later is not needed. Back downstairs to find out it’s gonna take another hour and after an hour turns out they didn’t get the paper work right so it’s another hour but still not sure because front desk can’t reach the doctor to confirm. Insanity, lack of professionalism and straight up stupidity among the personnel. Waste of time

Took my son to get an MRI. His doctor ordered with and without contrast. We were greeted by the receptionist, I think her name was Cindy. When I returned my paper work to her I inquired about the MRI being both with and without contrast. She told me that «the doctor only ordered without contrast» As I stood there, puzzled, because he SPECIFICALLY told me that he wanted both. Her only response was «well, that’s all he ordered so do you want to reschedule»? She had a snarky little attitude too. I was just in a moment, trying to figure out what to do, it’s 7:30 at night, the doctors office is closed, he is only in on Tues and Thur. But I don’t want my son to go through having two MRI’s. She had no empathy as I explained all this to her, she was just annoyed that she had to do some extra interacting. I decided to go ahead with the MRI, my son sees his doctor next week and we need these results before that. So, the MRI tech takes us back and explains everything, such a nice guy. He looks at my authorization and tells me that the insurance company only ok’d without contrast and this was common but not to worry because they should be able to see what my son’s specialist was looking for without contrast. Now WHY couldn’t that receptionist tell me that? Because she has zero empathy. Some people have no business working in the medical field. Go work somewhere where you don’t have to deal with people who are sick and worried about what is wrong with them. Why would they be getting diagnostic testing in the first place? Because there might be something going on with them! We didn’t all just book a day at Northridge Diagnostic Spa! Have some empathy! I waited in the lobby while my son had his test, the chairs were disgusting and filthy, many of them, not just one or two. And meanwhile, the receptionist and another tech (who sat on her counter) sat and talked bad about all the other employees that they worked with. So unprofessional! On a good note, my son said that the tech was very attentive and caring, checking on him often during the test. Wish I would have got his name. Light brown haired guy with a mustache that turns up on the sides. I hope in the future, and if any further diagnostic testing is ever needed, that I don’t have to bring myself or my family here. Matter of fact, I will speak to the insurance and request to go across the street to Renaissance… THAT place is awesome!

I am so sorry that I accidental wrote a bad review about Northridge Diagnostic center. Previous review was addressed to a different medical office. Now let me tell you about them. I was there yesterday and they did a great job, it took just 20 min. To do ultrasound and I was very impressed with their service. Young lady who took care of me, she was very accurate and attentive.
Good job and sorry about mistake.

Okay, The people that work here truly are very kind and very nice. However, that being said, the radiologist or whoever runs the programs there appear to not be very knowledgeable about procedures. I took my daughter here for an MRE enterography. We traveled quite a significant distance to get there. When we got there we waited about 20 minutes to be seen at which time we were told we were supposed to do a prep before we came. This prep included picking up certain medications from the pharmacy for her to take internally prior to the exam. We were sent home. We were told that someone would call us to reschedule. No one ever called back. It is now been almost 2 weeks since we were there.
We went for our appointment at the doctor yesterday and she was very upset about what it happened at the radiology facility here at Northridge diagnostics. She said it was absolute garbage. That an MRE does not require a prep. I told her I would take my child to renaissance imaging, where I have been a number of times and had wonderful experiences. I spoke to renaissance imaging and they also said that it was absolute garbage. That there was no prep required. I will never go back to this place in Northridge, no matter how nice the people are.
The building is fairly old. It seems not dirty but kind of grubby. I did not feel very comfortable here. Again, the staff is excellent when it comes to their personality. They were welcoming and kind and the man that came out to speak us was very sweet. He just didn’t know his stuff that’s all. I do not recommend this facility. I do however highly recommend renaissance imaging. It is just across the street from this place.

This place is loud and dirty in waiting room but overall it was quick and they were kinda friendly !!

If only there was an option for negative stars!
RUN don’t walk away from this place. Seriously STAY AWAY!!!
I honest can’t say enough bad about this facility. From scheduling an appointment to the procedure nothing was enjoyable or professional to say the absolute least.

I never have any problems here. I had an MRI done of my lower back and it went well. I did get there a few minutes early as I am usually early for all my appointments. But for some reason they were running behind and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes.
They get 4 stars because they are open on weekends! YESSS, I didn’t have to take time off of work for this! That’s important to me because I like to take time off of work for vacation and when I am actually sick.

STAY AWAY!!! RUN!!! BEWARE!!! DO NOT GO!!!
I have had «2» bad experiences here! My first experience, I drove all the way down and somehow they had taken me off the schedule, so I had to reschedule for another day.
My second incident involved having a MRI done on my «left» hip, but they did the MRI on my right hip; despite me clearly telling the technician, «Just to make sure, we are doing this on my left hip» and he assured me with a «yes.» ALSO, all the paperwork I filled out at the beginning had mentioned left hip and my authorization from my insurance company was for the left hip.
What a waste of time, energy, and gas to drive there.

It was my first time getting an MRI and a CT scan and I must say, my experience was a pleasant one. Upon arriving, I was greeted by the staff who were very nice and friendly. She also had a pretty nice voice too. (She was singing the song on the radio in the background while inputing my info into the computer). The guys in the back were also very friendly and made the experience very relaxing and assured me there was nothing to worry about. They let me know exactly what was going to happen, what noises I would be hearing and the amount of time I would be hearing it for.
That really takes the stress off of you a little because all I kept thinking about while being in the small tunnel was when the 15 minutes would be up. The only negative was after they finished they said to wait in the lobby to get my cd and I think they totally forgot about me. I waited about 10 mins and finally one of the guys came out to give another patient (who was out 5 min after me) her film copies and asked if I was waiting for something. I told him my film copies and he looked a little puzzled like he had no clue. He came back 2 mins later with my copies so in sure they forgot but it’s all good!

Excellent staff. High tech equipment. Morning appts work best!!! I forgot my ins card but staff informed me that i could still have my appt and fax it over later.
