SERT Group International located in Southern California, specializes in firearms and personal security training for responsible citizens that want to learn how to defend themselves and their loved ones. We provide a demanding and challenging approach to teaching the skills necessary to survive life threatening encounters in the urban and austere environment. We offer our clients realistic, cutting edge training by being innovative in our approach, forward thinking in our course development and dynamic in our instruction. Our tactical training division also offers training and consulting solutions to military and law enforcement. By customizing training solutions for our clients, we are able to help them maintain the necessary level of readiness required to meet the challenges encountered in the local or global environment We also host NRA Basic Pistol courses for those who are unfamiliar with firearms and want to learn how to shoot safely.

History

Established in 1991.

In response to the shootings at Columbine, workplace violence, and the ⁹⁄₁₁ attacks, SERT Group International (formerly «The SERT Group») was established to provide tactical training to the military and law enforcement. Originally specializing in Tactical Combat Casualty Care, the company expanded to include firearms and tactical training and consulting overseas. A Department of Defense registered entity, we have trained not only U.S. military teams and SWAT operators, but also specialized personnel from our allied partners in the war on terror. Seeing the need to train responsible citizens in their own personal safety, we began training civilians in firearms, disaster medical care, and other aspects of self defense. Our instructors have years of operational experience both here and abroad, and bring their expertise to a variety of our courses.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Scott is the President and Training Director of SERT Group International. A SWAT medic (retired) with fourteen years on a team, he has been teaching tactical courses to individuals and units from the United States military, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies as well as allied countries, since 1999 and began including training for responsible civilians in 2010. A licensed paramedic, NRA basic pistol instructor, tactical firearms instructor, and Krav Maga (Black Belt) instructor, he has developed numerous personal security and self defense training programs for people serious about protecting themselves and their loved ones, at home or while traveling.
