Leila and Bakari do a really good job, but more importantly they don’t just take an order and give what you said. They both gave my friend Craig and I custom drinks when the only instructions given were«bourbon based». They’re good at what they do and they’re fun, which is not something you get a lot. 10 out of 10 would come here again for either one of them.

The ambiance was great. The service was phenomenal(I was helped by Bakari, but the other bartenders were equally cool). And the food was excellent. Bakari told me the ingredients in the crab cake, this place obviously figured out the recipe for success too.

Love to sit outside when the weather is nice. As always love the changing seasonal menu and the fact they will customize based on allergies or food preferences. Wishing their wifi was a bit better. Get a code from the front hostess or ask your server… Today just not routing… But I can live with sporadic wifi as I carry my own hotspot.

Not sure exactly what is going on with this place but I’m sadly disappointed in the service and quality of good. This place — many years ago used to be the bomb. Corporate needs a huge overhaul on this place or maybe it’s corporates fault for letting this place go down the tubes. So sad.

First of all, I just wanted to state that the ambience given from the dark lighting and interior was amazingg! I went out on a date and ended up going to sweet green for dinner, that wasn’t sustainable at all unfortunately. So after the movies, we went to Clydes! I’ve never been but the service was great, it was clean, decoration’s perfect! Wasn’t too gaudy or anything, I loved it. The food was great for a late night grub, my friend and I went 11PM at night. The food was hot as if it were right out of the oven, the food there doesn’t seem anything extraordinary or normal average, it’s just perfect for a little grub if that makes sense. I wouldn’t really go here again because I didn’t see anything on the menu that popped out or grabbed my attention, it was just simple foods given a zap to make it feel like it’s OMG type of food.

Always pass by whenever we run errands in the town center, but never really got a chance to try. Today, finally, while waiting for our car to get fixed, we decided to hv brunch here. Waitress was attentive, it was raining outside but it was warm outside. Food was goood… Got the soft shell crab sandwich & smoked salmon with bagels. So good…

Had lunch here on 5÷13÷16, first we wanted to sit outside because it had finally stopped raining. Our server was great and was very knowledgeable about wine, we ordered a round of drinks and realized there were all these tiny green bugs crawling around. He moved us inside and we got a new server, I wish I grabbed her name but she was great. She took her time with us and we didn’t feel rushed at all. The food was alright, for an appetizer we had the Mediterranean trio with the pita bread and 3 different hummus, they all tasted the same to me, but the pita bread was Delicious. I got the Reuben which is always a favorite of mine there, my friend from Vegas said it was better then the one they serve at the Wynn. Would definitely be back!

Suckered by marketing yet again! A late night snack(1AM) and the prospect of Korean pork tacos and a cold beer brought me here. The tacos were a HUGE disappointment. Too thick taco shells with poorly prepared pork killed it for me. Even the avocado, kimchee and hoisin sauce couldn’t save it! Can’t say as I’ll boycott the joint(not many places serve food until 2AM), but only late night desperation will bring me back!

Allison Rocks! Thanks for making my stay memorable! If only every bartender was this nice. And she is good looking to boot.

A nice location and atmosphere, however there were some service issues that could be avoided. A glass of wine came out in a dirty glass-not the way you want to enjoy your beverage. Since the meal was reasonably priced it’s hard to complain about the flavor, especially since there wasn’t much flavor to speak about. I had the stuffed pork porterhouse. Although a noble attempt, I wish more attention had been paid to seasoning the meat. It was cooked well though. Overall, an edible meal and an enjoyable night out. Server Mark was AWESOME!!!

We came here for lunch on Saint Patrick’s day. Our group was relatively large(8) but we were seated pretty quickly. Our server was great. I wasn’t very hungry so I just got the Korean Pork Tacos(an appetizer). The pork belly was the driest pork belly I’ve ever had. The hoisin sauce was watery and there was hardly any of it. I couldn’t tell if the tortilla was toasted a little bit or just kind of stale. Basically, I wasn’t a fan. Also, while this is not strictly Clyde’s fault, the fire alarm was going off for about 45 minutes. We were already seated when it started going off and nobody explained to us why it was going off or whether we should evacuate or anything. It just kept going off, and off, and off. Overall I thought it was overpriced for food that was below average and a very annoying fire alarm experience. Our server was great, though.

Incredible. Local place, the food was amazing and the service spot on. I had the crab cakes and loved them. Really the best I’ve had ever.

It’s not horrible. That being said I did sit in the bar area which I think has a reduced menu. I don’t know why I bother asking for burgers to be cooked medium. They always come out over cooked no matter where I order it. The atmosphere is nice however. Bar area is what you would expect. Sometimes loud. The bartender is good and I had no issues with. The burger was avg. nothing spectacular. I was solo and I’m staying right across the street at the Hyatt so it’s easy access. Would I come back here. Not sure, but for tonight it served its purpose.

I used to love Clydes… I have such great memories. I moved to the area in 1999 and back then it was the place to be!!! I used to love dinning here as well as just having a drink at a bar. Lately it has changed… I hope the owners read this. I dont know who got fired or what changed but in the last 4 years the culture has slowly changed. Customers are not no1. Managers are cocky and dont want to hear complaints. Its very sad. They used to bend over backwards to make customers happy. Now they dont really care. Whenever people would come from overseas or from another state I would proudly take them to Clydes and brag about how«only in this area» you could get those crabcakes. The first time they failed me was like 4 years ago for my bday. I took my aunt(she just got here from Europe) and it was a disaster. The service was Horrible. That was in Georgetown. The last time it happened was during summer 2015. I took my other aunt(from moms side) to Tysons and the same thing. I asked for the mgr and she started defending her staff. Its really sad. I used to make up excuses thinking it would be just the guy that was there at the time but today I realized its much bigger than that. Their culture has changed. Im very sad. I feel like a family member just died. I know its corny. When my now husband moved here for the first time I took him to Clydes. A year later we got married and had the party upstairs in Tysons. It was beautiful. Tysons, georgetown and Ashburn were my 3 favorite. Its really sad. Thanks for all those years. GoodBye.

Very disappointed. We visited this location with another couple on Saturday evening, having made a reservation a week prior we showed up at 620(reservation for 630) only to be told we souks be seated within a half hour. When we inquired if the reservation was not showing, they said simply that they were«trying» to seat reservations first, but could make no promises. Ok.. Well I guess it’s not worth making reservations then. When we did get seated our server was clearly overwhelmed, but still pleasant. It was slow, but I’m assuming that was due to being busy. The food was ok, nothing great, nothing bad. Definitely worse than a few years ago when I used to visit regularly. My «medium well» steak was definitely rare, but I didn’t complain as we had already waited so long. Dessert was ordered by 3 of us to split, we asked the server who dropped it off for a spoon — he rather rudely pointed out that we had three spins for three desserts and left.. Honestly I thought it was a joke until we had to flag someone down 20 minutes(yes TWENTY) later to ask for a spoon… the check took another 15 minutes past that to arrive. All in all we spent over $ 300 for four people and left pretty disappointed. Won’t be picking this place for the next date night that’s for sure.

As a chain, Clyde’s is pretty good. I happen to show up in September in Virginia and fully expected the heat and humidity. I was shocked with the lack of both. As a result, my friend and I decided to dine outside where the tables faced the outdoor skating rink(although it wasn’t winter yet). The dinners we had were pretty good but not memorable. I did enjoy the outdoor, California type atmosphere eating outside.

I feel like Clydes is always a safe and solid choice where your dining companions will find something that suits them. If you happen to dine on a Monday and like wine most of their bottles of wine are ½ price which is good if there is more than one person in your group who is a wine drinker. We sat outside on the patio just overlooking the main square, at least on a Monday it was pretty calm there. We got the crab dip to start with which I absolutely love! Its creamy enough but you can still taste crab. My friend had the filet mingon which was a little past the medium she had requested but it was still good per her report. I got the BLT, which I think is a seasonal item, since it boasted about the tomatoes on the menu, which it was more T than B. So it was a little bit of a disappointment but still how hard is it to mess up a BLT in my mind? There was a slight issue with the food coming out which our kind waiter fessed up to and profously apologied for and offered us dessert on the house. My friend and I were gabbing so much if he hadn’t said anything we probably wouldn’t have noticed. Although my ever so clock minded hubby did slightly notice(he never worked in the food industry, so I have a bit more of a tolerance). Then a few moments later a manager came over and apologied and comped our pitcher of sangria. I have to say in my years of eating at Clydes they do really pride themselves on the customer experience and it certainly showed in this case. Btw, I got the chocolate lava cake for dessert which was incredibly rich but good. I think I should have only eaten half.

All I know here is the bar scene. It’s a great bar scene though. I love the bartenders and they have great happy hour specials on drinks and they’ll give you good solid pours on the drinks as well. I’ve been hearing people complain their drink wasn’t strong enough or it wasn’t good enough. Maybe you’re nice to your bartender, they’ll give you a good drink. Remember that! While the drinks are solid, the food needs work. The wings are probably the only thing I would order from here as they’re the only item that’s consistently good. Everything else I’ve ordered such as the turkey BLT or chicken parm or the salmon are as salty as those people complaining about their drinks. I get that food needs seasoning but I’m not trying to die by od’ing on sodium. I’ll just stick to the alcohol and chatting with the bartenders while poking fun at the drink complainers and the food orderers. Have fun being thirsty and dying young through saltiness!

I really like Clydes and have been coming here for a long time. They provide a nice selection for lunch and seating is generally available. I prefer the outdoor seating whenever possible. I have had the standard fare of burgers, sandwiches and appetizers which is good but a little on the pricier side for what you get. Still I’m a long time patron and they are always a great choice when you can’t decide where to eat.

Clyde’s was my first restaurant I went to when I first came to the DMV area. It was the only thing open on my way home from Dulles airport and it was late. I was very confused when I first walked inside because being from California the décor was very, interesting, to say the least. After getting past that and having the food I absolutely loved Clyde’s! I have been back a number of times for lunch, brunch, and dinner! A few notable items that I have liked on their menu are their bacon cheeseburger which is cooked to perfection! Super juicy and the bun they use is really good as well. Their steak and eggs is a great option if you are really feeling hungry during lunch! Lots of food and really good. Their pancakes are amazing. I’m not sure what they do to them but for some reason they are so good. I also like their wings and fried calamari as a starter. Instead of traditional calamari they add a little spice and have this special dipping sauce that goes along with it that’s full of flavor. I am all about good service and clyde’s always seems to do it right. I have never had any issues and the waiters have always been kind, attentive, and helpful! Clyde’s is a Virginia/DC classic that you must check out!
