Flippin’ Pizza

Never had a problem when I order an entire pie to-​go. Ordered the ‘two slices and a beer for $ 8′ (which is a fantastic deal for a quick after work bite) but the pizza was overcooked. Cheese separated into oil and the crust was mostly black. I sent it back and got two more overcooked slices. I can’t understand how at least two people looked at those slices and still served them… twice.

We used to have great experiences with them before. But we have had mistakes on our order and more recently –Today. we received cold pizza and raw dough in our buffalo bites in our delivery order.
We called to see if they could refund or issue a credit since we would have been happy to order again hoping it was just a one time mistep. The pizza was literally cold not even a little warm and we had to toss the raw buffalo bites. Manager said we would have to bring our pizza and bites back to the store for any credit/​refund. This completely defeats the purpose of delivery & with a baby at home we are not about to drive over there because they sent us cold and raw food.
We will not be ordering from them again.

First time here for me… I should have read the reviews first. The manager is absolutely rude! I placed an order for carry-​out and went next door for a few groceries to pass the time since I was told it would take 20 minutes. I come back in for pickup and the manager rudely says to an employee «isn’t it after 9:00???» meaning, he thought I was placing an order at 9 pm. And if I was, so what?
To make matters worse, they sent one of my pizzas out with a delivery guy, so one of my orders went to someone else, forcing me to have to wait even longer. Horrible experience and I haven’t even tasted the pizza yet!!!
Oh yeah, and the «manager» didn’t bother to apologize, offer a discount or anything. He didn’t even acknowledge me other than his smart remark when he thought I was ordering past 9 pm!

Bland, dry pizza. But, better than Domino’s. It is thin crust, but missing the NY.

This was terrible. Placed an online order, and received a confirmation order that it would take approximately 50 minutes for delivery. No big deal, it was a Saturday evening and expected as much. To their credit, it was delivered in just under 50 minutes. But that’s where the praise ends. While the pizza was delivered in one of those insulated carrying bags, it was luke-​warm only. The cheese tasted like rubber. The crust was chewy, but not in a good way. Just no taste to the pizza at all. They advertise high quality ingredients, but it tasted definitively cheap. Will not order again.

Do you like to eat cold rubber? If so, this is the place for you!
Ordered pizza at 6:48pm and was told it would be 45 minuets. We called at 8:10pm to see if they were sending us a pizza. The girl said it was «on the road». Her tone clearly indicated she didn’t give a shit when I polity reminded her that the employee who took my order said 45 minuets. At 8:25pm our pizza finally arrived. It was cold. We warmed up the pizza and bit into rubber. YUMMY! 37 thumbs down. Worst pizza experience EVER!

I used to go here frequently until one day around noon in June I came by for 2 slices of pizza and a drink to go. I came up to get my order only to find the clerk put the two slices of pizza DIRECTLY IN THE PAPER BAG UNCOVERED VERTICALLY. I’m not joking. And there was a veritable TOWER of boxes sized exactly for 2-​slice orders RIGHT in front of her. I live within a 2 minute walk and I haven’t been back since (nor will I). This was certainly the dumbest thing I’ve ever experienced.

Ordered some dinner but the driver couldn’t find my house (even though I had received pizzas from them on several different occasions) so I never got it! I called to find out whether or not I’ve been billed for the pizza since I didn’t get it they didn’t seem to give a shit! Won’t EVER order from there again pizza is not that great anyway!!!

Up here again. This pizza is ridiculously good. Came up here for the third time this month. I can’t get enough of there Brooklyn style
The staff are pleasant. The atmosphere is great. And it’s smells like «A Biga Pizza Pie»

Good quality products. The pizza is by the slice or a whole pie, so don’t expect to order at 10′ pizza. Pepperoni was really good. The one thing that I didn’t care for was the crust; I generally like thin crust. What I found was that the crust was too dry for my liking.
I can’t comment on the dine-​in; I got carry-​out only.

My opinion… you should either save your money or order from another pizza place. I’ve ordered a few times and the quality and service has gotten worse with each pie. The majority of the pizzas I’ve ordered have arrived luke warm (at best) and limp. The last time I ordered the garlic twists they were rock hard… as in stale. This is unacceptable especially when they’re charging a hefty premium for pizza! After my last experience I swore I’d never order (waste my money on their pizza) again. Save yourself some frustration and pick another place. My 2 cents…

Used to be good, but delivery is now often cold or clearly stale. There are other places worth your business.

Dont get surprised by the price. Though its $ 20 but its huge portion. It can easily serve a family of four. Having said that I liked the pizzas so much that I ate the complete pizza in a day (lunch+dinner+next day breakfast). I had ordered a cheese pizza with chicken and mushroom as the topping.
It was just awesome. The base was not that thick (I guess the NY style). The cheese was awesome and so were the toppings.
Yes ! I am a fan and will RECOMMEND this place.

Do not get delivery. We called, spoke to one guy who couldn’t figure out how to write down our address, then spoke to another woman who didn’t understand that we wanted a pizza with mushrooms, black olives, and pepperoni. Finally, she said it would be 25 minutes. An hour later, we got a pepperoni pizza with no other toppings. The pizza was okay, but it wasn’t any better than dominos or papa johns.
The entire thing was ridiculous, timely, and overpriced.

Yet again Flippin pizza has concert consistently delivered a high-​quality pie door in less than 30 minutes and 530 on a Saturday Kudo to their Team delicious pie made our night.
23 minute delivery time is crazy fast! The delivery guy was cordial and the woman on the phone was good too! Two thumbs way up

Cost$ 50+ for cold food and the pizza really wasn’t any better than vocellis. What a ripoff.

The customer Service is quick and friendly at this delicious pizza eating establishment. The medium sized dining room is super clean, well organized and well lighted. Had lunch here before I started work on ¹⁰⁄₃₁.

This is in my opinion the best pizza in Reston. Delicious pizza, the crust is amazing, the toppings are fresh and scrumptious, even the sauce – which I usually ask for light sauce at pizza places because I don’t like their sauces – is yummy.
I decided to finally write a review on this place because, after years of ordering Flippin’ sporadically in between ordering Santini’s, Ledo’s, Paisano’s, etc., I had a great ordering experience last night. I placed my order online and requested a cup of ice if possible – a strange and annoying request I know. They delivered my pizza 15 minutes earlier than they said they would, and the delivery guy showed up with literally a box of ice for me, just to be nice.
My pizza was amazing as usual and I decided they are no longer a contender for #1 (with Santini’s), they are #1. I used to not order them as often because they only have the one large size, so if you don’t want that much pizza or don’t want to have to pay for a large pizza, it could be annoying… but it is honestly worth it for the quality of pizza and the customer service. Santini’s pizza is good and similar to Flippin’, but sometimes it’s a let-​down whereas Flippin’ is reliably fantastic every single time.
My new go-​to pizza place.

So if you like something heavy and toppings-​oriented, then this place might not be for you. However, it’s the closest to NY pizza I’ve had outside of New York. The pizza has a nice and simple doughy, thinner crust, a flavorful layer of sauce, and really good cheese! There’s not too much of anything. I don’t get just cheese pizza at other places. generally I get toppings because the other pizzas need a little something, but the simple cheese pizza here is perfect!

I’ve ordered twice from here, once to try and once because I like to give places a chance. The location is close to home but you can’t really eat there though there are a few tables. A few slices and a beer are nice but not for a family.
I was surprised they only have one size for about $ 20. The pizza is not so great you’ll order it even though you only want a slice. In fact it’s pretty average tasting pizza. NY street pizza is better.
It would interesting if they had some competition. There isn’t much else pizza-​wise near its Reston location. I’m willing to bet if a Donatos opened up close by it would either force Flippin to change its menu and pricing, or put it out of business.
