I recently utilized Midtown Jewelers for an insurance replacement of a lost diamond earring and I can’t say enough positive things about my interactions with Bobby. He is very professional and was fantastic to work with! I highly recommend Midtown Jewelers.

I cannot say enough positive things about Midtown Jewelers! My fiancé and I went in to look for an engagement ring not really expecting to buy anything as it was the first place we went to. We wound up finding the perfect ring with the help of Lynn, and true to her word, it arrived exactly three weeks to the day! The staff is so kind and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We were not pressured into buying anything, and Lynn helped us find the perfect ring right within our budget, as well as giving us endless options and suggestions. This was amazing as neither one of us know anything about jewelry! I wound up having to get my ring resized a week or so after I picked it up (my fault for choosing the wrong size), and of course it was completely hassle-​free. I dropped it off on a Saturday morning and picked it up two hours later! Lynn and Vijay are always wonderful, and when I go in every few weeks to get my ring cleaned, they know exactly why I am there and who I am. We will be buying our wedding bands here and coming in for any other services we need in in the future!

I got a ring here, and when I received it, not only was it the wrong size, but it wasn’t even the ring that I ordered. We went back and complained, and they fixed it… but if you want to have that perfect moment, it’s kind of spoiled when you try to put the ring on and it doesn’t fit. Getting it resized doesn’t get that back. Generally careless staff and disappointing service. They’re also overpriced as hell.

Initially went into this store to just get ideas without any intentions of buying from this place. However the great welcome from the staff and the personal yet professional feel of the staff there was very inviting. I personally know nothing about jewelery and was a bit stressed out before coming to midtown jewlers. I was merely browsing around looking for a great setting for my future fiancé. Found a great deal on a platinum setting and they were so understanding and very helpful. Very amazed of how quick they were able to get the setting done with the diamond I had brought in less than 3 days. You will NOT waste your time when coming to this store, will most certainly be buying jewelry from midtown jewelers in the near future.

Highly recommend. A family business with excellent customer service by Vijay. I wanted to get my rings soldered, but was told by other jewelers it would take 2 weeks to get done. Midtown jewelers said they could do it on site that day and have it done by 5pm. It looks awesome! Very pleased with the entire process.

The team here is exceptional. I brought in a broken necklace, which they helped to update and make something even better than the original. I will definitely use them for more jewelry repairs.

I needed several repairs done on some jewelry, gold hoops, diamond ring & two bracelets. Lynn was so sweet and very attentive. I felt that my jewelry was in good hands, it is hard to trust people with your precious items some of my jewelry was over 25 yrs old or more. Not only did they make me feel welcomed they made me feel like I had been there for years. I will always go back there they are wonderful.

I truly enjoyed the service I received at Midtown Jewelers. I stopped by one day after grabbing some lunch and Lynn was at the store. She was very kind and helpful, and did not push me into anything. I told her my soon-​to-​be fiancé and I were going to start looking for rings and that I had a certain style in mind. She researched and found the perfect ring for me! I ended up choosing it and my friends raved about how it fits my personality perfectly.

I found Midtown Jewelers via Google and checked out their great reviews before I making a long drive to Reston. It was worth the drive ! I felt welcomed the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted and attended to promptly and everyone was so accommodating. I brought in an heirloom piece from my family and I wanted to find a setting to set the center diamond. As this is a very sentimental piece but not my style. I appreciated the time spent with me as I viewed their selection of ring settings. There was a lot to choose from and they offered to custom make me a new ring setting to my liking or special order one from one of their designers. They carry fine jewelry at affordable prices with fine quality diamonds and I was able to view rings within my «price range». Each designer has a lifetime warranty on their rings against defects in their craftsmanship. I feel comfortable in knowing that if something does go wrong that they will take care of it for me.
I am in the process of deciding which style to choose but I know that I will return. I usually take a while to decide and it is a sentimental piece that I am changing.
I also love that I will be purchasing from a family business and not a chain store.

My fiancé and I tried to work with this store to find the perfect ring. Unfortunately they didn’t try to negotiate with us or try to help us find a ring that we liked in our budget. We didn’t feel valued at all. They don’t even replace your side diamonds if they fall out like most stores. There’s no warranty. Once you buy you are on on your own. Beware!

I was very unhappy after my visit. I brought a pair of gold earrings to ask for advice on how to replace or change the clasp. The person who examined my earrings said they were not gold and added that for that reason nothing could be done to change the clasp. He did not even notice the stamp 14k on the loop of the clasp, which was very unprofessional, in my opinion. (I took my earrings to another jewelry place, M Beem Jewelers, and they were very careful with my earrings, examined them and confirmed they were gold. We also agreed on how to change the clasp).
I would NOT recommend the Midtown Jewelers to anybody because I do not think they are qualified enough.

Everyone at midtown jewelers is so nice and accommodating. I brought a watchthe face in that I inherited from my grandmother that she got in the 1920s I wanted to get it fixed to give to my mom for mothers day. Not only did they do an amazing job restoring the watch; they explained the intracacies of the watch and the monetary value of it. The also did a great job looking to find a band that would match the face. I have been back a few times since, and they still recognize me and ask about the watch :)

I have been going to Midtown Jewelers for the past 5 years and have always had an amazing experience. Bobby and his staff are knowledgable and always helpful. I’ve purchased a custom designed bracelet, purchased various Pandora items and beautiful earrings. Even when I’m just window shopping, Bobby always offers to clean my rings which I much appreciate. I would highly recommend going to Midtown Jewelers!

I’ve frequented Midtown Jewelers over the past 5 years for low-​ticket items like switching out watch batteries, ring cleaning, or getting my fingers sized. Most places would just brush you off if you’re not buying something expensive, but the staff here has always been extremely helpful and kind to me. They also throw some events throughout the year that are pretty cute. Yay for small family-​run businesses!

I recently got engaged, and I wanted to get my ring appraised for insurance purposes. After having lunch at Clyde’s in the Reston Town Center (wonderful service), my fiancé and I decided to check out Midtown Jewelers, as it said on their website that they do appraisals. When we walked in, the man working there (I think he is the manager) was disinterested at best. He said that the appraiser is only in the shop on Wednesdays until 4pm. Because I am a teacher, it is hard for me to take time off during the week, but I made an appointment anyway and submitted my leave time.
Unfortunately, on the day of my appointment, the store closed because of snow. I received a phone call at 11 that morning to reschedule my appointment; the woman said that the appraiser would be in on Friday. I asked her if I could have a later time, and she gave me 4pm — reassuring me that she would call if that time proved problematic.
Fast forward to Friday — I have received no call that 4pm has proven inconvenient, so I leave work early and drive 30 minutes to Reston. Upon arrival, I tell the sweet woman behind the desk that I have a 4pm appointment for an appraisal. She looks confused and checks her appointment system — yes, she says, I am on the list. Unfortunately, the appraiser has already left for the day (???), but suggests that she might be able to call him and see if he can come back for my appointment. At this point, I am completely confused — why would the schedule me (and not call to change the appointment) if the time did not work? And additionally — why would the appraiser leave without looking at his appointment calendar?!?
The man who I assume is the manager comes over to the counter and automatically shuts down the offer to call the appraiser — «he won’t want to set up all of his tools again.» Then he says to me, «The best thing I can do is offer you a free appraisal on another date.» He doesn’t seem to see a problem with the fact that I HAD AN APPOINTMENT that I was attending — that his staff messed up! I tell him no, that «I have tried to schedule this appraisal twice — there is no way that I am requesting more time off for an appointment that may or may not happen.» He didn’t seem to care or feel bad.
As a future bride, my fiancé and I have a number of jewelery-​related purchases to make — and I can assure you, they will not be made at Midtown Jewelers.

I purchased my future wife’s engagement ring from Midtown Jewelers. I had very specific requirements for a engagement ring and Bobby and his staff were extremely helpful in meeting my requirements. The owner and staff were very personable. My fiancée and I have been back into shop for wedding bands and to have her engagement ring adjusted and cleaned (free of charge). I look forward to making the bulk of my jewelery purchases at Midtown jewelers.
I am confident you will be more than satisfied with Midtowns service. As far as selection, if there is anything they don’t have, they can make it or order it for you. You will be in good hands at Midtown.

After a less than pleasant experience at another jeweler, I was left without an engagement ring to wear for three weeks after he proposed.
We decided to stop by Midtown Jewelers. They were able to bring in a few diamonds for us to look at. We chose a diamond and they were able to have their onsite jeweler mount it the next day!
The ring looks gorgeous. Talk about fast and efficient service. Bobby also hooked us up with a few services that otherwise would have been an added charge.
We’ve had the pleasure of meeting 3 midtown employees and they’ve all been very down to earth, friendly, normal people. They genuinely listen to what you’re looking for and never once pushed a sale on us. They let us make our decisions without any pressure whatsoever.
Bobby and his team have turned our engagement ring experience into a great one. We should have gone here in the first place!

Last year on my Vacation in Heidelberg Germany. I came across a little watch shop and saw this Tutima watch brand. When I was ready to buy it the shop closed for the whole week because of the Christmas holiday. I had this watch on my mind ever since.
One day decided to just Google search this watch to see if there was any local dealers in Northern Virginia. I came across Midtown jewelers and found my treasure. But instead of buying it right then and there I was torn between a yellow dial or the black and yellow style. It took a while but I finally ended up buying the watch. I ended up with a black and yellow dial.
The thing I like about this jeweler that he was never pushy and also was willing to work on the price for the watch. And I was a happy customer out the door.

Bobby and the entire Midtown Jewelers staff did an AMAZING JOB from beginning to end. The experience with Midtown Jewelers has been educational, personal, informative and responsive. This was an INCREDIBLE purchasing experience!
My story is a simple one, but one I feel is important for future grooms to read.
My future fiancé and I took a realistic approach to ring shopping. I wanted her input on her favorite styles and I wanted the flexibility to research the product to ensure I was getting the quality I wanted for the price. Before to long an internet inquiry about the Sylvie line of engagement rings yielded me a quick response from Bobby, the proprietor of Midtown Jewelers in Reston. My then girlfriend, Katharina «Kat» had found a Sylvie ring style that she adored in a popular wedding magazine and shortly thereafter we found ourselves in the Midtown Jewelers showcase looking at a ring that Bobby had personally ordered from Sylvie for us to examine. Although Bobby’s ring collections are extensive, and Kat took several moments to review the collections, the ring she initially selected was even more incredible in person then it was in the magazine and we were sold. The follow-​up questions we had for Bobby set the tone for such an amazing experience. We wanted to add a few diamonds and make some diamond sizing changes. Essentially keeping the integrity of the style of the setting, but wanting our own personal touch. Bobby was incredibly responsive to our ideas, and began working with Sylvie to get the answers.
In the mean time… enter me, the OCD, over prepared, over internet versed-​in-​engagement-​ring-​purchasing boyfriend who was bound and determined to get the best deal, for the best price. Truth was… Bobby could tell that I had read up on some diamond purchasing but before long, he looked at my diamond purchasing ideas and knew I was heading in the wrong direction… I was a novice! This is where the personal touch comes in that you don’t get in a large box chain. Bobby had me come by the store where a true to life, no sales pitch course in diamond purchasing was had. Bobby knew the appropriate diamond size, shape and nuances that would be best and least reflected in the setting Kat selected. The point was, I wasn’t just a number, I was treated as a valued customer, and from that I gained immense confidence in Bobby and his staff. Bobby took a such personal pride in his role as the jeweler, he saw to it that end product was going to be perfect.
By now you can tell that Kat and I opted for a more non-​traditional but «team» approach to the entire ring and diamond purchase. So, once Bobby had very specific diamonds that he felt would look best in the setting sent to his store, both Kat and I came back to Midtown Jewelers and looked at the individual diamonds inside the setting. Kat and I hand selected the diamond we wanted, after asking all the worlds diamond purchasing questions of Bobby. He was as patient and knowledge as I could have ever hoped for. He truly wanted us to get the best product, and be truly happy.
After an awesome diamond selection, Bobby moved forward with Sylvie for the design and development stages. It should be noted that there was a period of time in there were I was deployed. Even with the distance, Bobby kept up great communication with me via e-​mail and sent me CAD drawings, and development updates. We had also agreed on a very specific time line, Bobby met every one, well before the dates we had agreed on.
The end product was amazing. More then what Kat and I had ever hoped for. Purchasing a ring is a huge commitment and investment. It has been so nice and Kat and I are so lucky to have gone through this process with Midtown Jewelers. They earned our business, they earned our trust, but more then that, they made the moments for us. They were to us, and will be to you, that trusted jeweler whom you can go to for your most special purchases. Again, thank you Bobby, and thank you Midtown Jewelers Staff for such an incredible and heart warming experience.
PS — She said YES! But you know this already… we already came by to show off the ring!

I’ve never bought anything here or even looked seriously, but I’ve come in a few times needing minor adjustments to jewelry and they have always been friendly and more than willing to help. The folks at Midtown Jewelers have removed links from watches for me, placed resizers in my wedding rings, and even cleaned my bridal set up so nicely that it looked as nice as the day I got married.
The people here are very nice and extremely helpful. They seem to have some nice things for sale too.
