Established in 1998.

SSC is a full-​service consulting engineering firm specializing in all facets of structural, geotechnical, civil design & investigation, as well as rehabilitation and renovation related engineering and consulting services all through out the East Coast. The services cover every stage, from conceptual and feasibility planning to detailed design and construction management.

Since 1998, SSC have provided these services to a broad spectrum of clients, including government agencies, municipalities, institutions, architectural and engineering firms, private enterprises, contractors and home owners. We are known for innovative, cost-​competitive design, responsiveness to unique requirement and expertise that ensures architects, developers, contractors, and owners complete construction on time and on budget.

Business Owner

Ken owns and operates two companies: Soil & Structure Consulting, Inc. and Drainage & Erosion Solutions, LLC.

Soil & Structure Consulting is the only engineering firm in the Washington DC Metro Area that has full-​service Structural, Geotechnical, and Civil departments.

Drainage & Erosion Solutions is a design/​build specialty contractor that designs and installs drainage systems to solve all types of drainage problems. In addition to drainage systems, DES also design and installs patios, retaining walls, and window well egress systems.

Ken is Level III certified rugby coach and is the former head coach for the nationally ranked Gonzaga College HS Rugby Team and the current technical director for Loudoun Youth Rugby. In addition to coaching, he is a Level C1 certified rugby referee with the Potomac Rugby Football Referee Society and serves on their board.

Ken also serves as president of the Board of Governors for Northern Virginia Rugby Football Club.
