The Pet Elf

I reached out to two dog walker services, the Pet Elf and another company, after some online research. Immediately I was impressed with the way the Pet Elf conducted business. I had informed both groups that my dog has fear/​anxiety issues with men. The Pet Elf immediately said they would find a woman to walk my dog unlike the other service.
I arranged for the meet and greet with my walker. I was pleasantly surprised that the owner, Kim, would also be there in person. Both Kim and Eleanor were extremely pleasant and easy to talk with. My dog was immediately drawn to Eleanor… hooray. Overall the interview process was great and I felt that both sides asked/​answered the appropriate questions. At that point I was completely comfortable handing over keys to my home and putting my dog in the care of their hands.
I’ve only been using the service for the past two months however I’m very pleased. I currently have a weekly walk scheduled and have been able to easily move around the dates as needed. I was even able to schedule a last minute weekend walk with less than 24 hours notice. Eleanor/​Kim leave great notes about each visit. I greatly appreciate the time and effort that goes into making my dog happy and comfortable. My dog is always calm and relaxed when I get home. This is a major plus in my book.

We have been using the Pet Elf for two years now and cannot recommend them more highly. They have taken care of our birds, fish, and two dogs when we go out of town. They also walk our dogs on a regular basis. The first dog walker we were assigned was excellent but then moved out of the area. We were then assigned a new walker who did not seem to click with our dogs. All I had to do was email the Pet Elf and they assigned me a new person. The third one was the charm and we, plus the dogs, are thrilled. We were never made to feel fussy. On the contrary, there was obvious care and concern that our dogs should like their walker and that we felt comfortable the walker could handle them — they are two large dogs. Also they are very reasonable in price and I love the option to cancel the dog walk on the same day — provided I call early in the morning — in case I decide to stay home and walk them myself. Go ahead and give them a call, I think you will be very pleasantly surprised.
