G-J Towing

Quick response. I blew a tire in Quincy. Quotes for pick up were almost 3 hours. Andy arrived quickly and loaded the truck quickly. I’m calling them the next time the truck acts up.

If you’re in the position to choose another towing company, I’d highly recommend you do so. After a fender bender my car was towed here. It took a long time to settle with insurance company, which left my car in their lot for over 2 months. I’ve come here several times to collect my belongings and then to pick up my car. The staff have always been very rude and I’ll mannered to say the least. The facility itself is very run down. If you need to use the bathroom you have to walk up I to the office past all the tow truck drivers as they tell dirty stories, neglecting to acknowledge your existence.
Besides the staff, the layout of this place is awful. There’s no format to it. Just car and boat parts all over the place. Be careful if you are walking!
last but not least, security. This place has zero security. I don’t think they have so much as a video camera anywhere. The cars are completely vulnerable to thefts. The subwoofer within the trunk of my car had it’s cables cut and was broken in the process of theft. It’s bad enough I’m in this predicament in the first place, but to add insult to injury…

BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE!!! I witnessed one of their drivers almost hit 3 cars when he did not yield on the on ramp for 95 S in Danvers. The driver went around all the cars and nearly hit them. After he turned on his back up bright lights to blind the drivers behind them. I reported this to G & J as this driver should be taken off the road completely. The person I spoke to tried to say that it was an emergency call for the state police. Tow truck drivers are not first responders and need to follow the same rules to ensure the safety of the cars around them. This driver was aggressive and dangerous as he tried to blind cars behind them. The man I spoke to hung up, indicating that he and G&J do not care about the well being of others. I recommend using Majestic or Shamrock towing.

The Lynn city police had my car towed because of a misunderstanding about my tags; it’s a newly purchased car out-​of-​state, from a state that does not issue temporary tags. I walked several miles to the G-​J towing facility in Revere where I was promptly verbally abused at length by the man who I learned owns this business.
While the owner made it clear that he had, indeed, been towing cars for longer than I had «f — — » been alive, it seems this was his first experience towing a new car that was purchased in California. He refused to acknowledge that this car, which is registered in California and insured, could legally be driven in the state of Massachusetts with only dealer tags (it can. Imagine if you could actually get busted for driving your new car over state lines: That’s not how things work).
They charged $ 175 to tow the car to a private drive in Marblehead where my landlord lives, who was gracious enough to allow me to use her address: G-​J refused to release the car, you see, except to be towed specifically to a private lot, or with Massachusetts tags — all this while the city police who originally had the car towed were very helpful and apologetic.
In all I paid $ 331 (they only would take cash, too) and two hours of hell to retrieve my car from these jerks.

Called up Friday night 11pm with a flat tired in revere beach and they show up in 20min!

Woke up to a flat this morning, Called Triple A and G/​J towing was there within an hour. Justin was awesome and very professional got me on the road in no time. Thanks Justin!

I called AAA and was told that it would be an hour for the tow truck to arrive. G/​J was there within 20 minutes. The driver was excellent. Reassuring from the minute he jumped out of the truck. Luckily all I needed was a battery jumpstart. He took the time to explain AAAs battery replacement program which I will definitely be taking advantage of this week.

These people are the rudest, crudest losers on the planet. Do your best to stay away. No humanity, just out for the dollar.

I have had the very unfortunate experience of using G-​J Towing not once or twice but three times in this past week. Once for towing and twice for battery jumpstarts. The first time I called for a tow I had been in an accident. The dispatcher put me at ease and came within an hour into Charlestown to get my car and bring it to my mechanic in Lynn. They were very professional. Just a few days later my BF’s car wouldn’t start and we called AAA. G-​J showed up within 20 min and had the car running. The very next day we had to call again. We were told 90 min by AAA but when G-​J showed up less than 30 min later we were happily relieved. Car was started and off to sears for a new battery. I will definitely use them again… Hopefully I won’t have to. They made tough situations easy.

the BEST bar none! each and everytime AAA has sent G&J they were at my side within minutes. fast & friendly. i am always amazed @ the service. G&J Towing is as good as it gets when you need help and need it fast!
