Laughing Bear Log Cabin

Laughing Bear is a historic Steiner cabin on Mt. Hood that we’ve now stayed at for a couple winter getaways and we always love it. It’s very cozy & relaxing inside, with a big stone fireplace and wood logs throughout. The cabin is nestled in an old growth forest in Rhododendron and you can hear the nearby river, which is especially nice at night. There are 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 beds, so you can definitely sleep quite a few here. And there’s a hot tub in the backyard, which is such a nice amenity especially when the temps dip down. We think the cabin is in a great location as well — not far to go up the mountain to Government Camp or Timberline, or down the road a few minutes to civilization. We also appreciate the dogs are allowed in the cabin, so we bring our poodle & lab with us. And the price is reasonable. We’ll be back!
