So I was in search for a new dentist and stumbled upon this place because it was right across the street from my school. So I scheduled a cleaning which is always free with my insurance. After my cleaning I scheduled an appointment to have my cavities filled. At this time the lady at the front told me I would need another cleaning, which I’ve never even heard of before, I usually just get two a year. Anyway so I schedule my cavity filling, pay them $ 400+ cash right after. Had my cleaning done. Then all of a sudden a bill for $ 78 comes in the mail. I call and ask what it’s for and she says its for my first cleaning. Said my insurance didn’t cover it. Umm bish whet?! In all of my many years of going to the dentist I have never ever paid for a cleaning. They include this extra cleaning just to get more money from you. Why not tell me upfront I would have to pay for it?! Smh. NEVER EVER going back there! They are thieves!

I hate dentists and I have lots of dental issues, but I love Dr Faiz and he takes really good care of me.

Dr. Faiz is by far the BEST dentist I have ever been to in my life. I can’t imagine another dentist coming even close to being as awesome as he and his staff. We ended up at Dr. Faiz’s office kind of by accident. We are new to the area and we hadn’t set up with a dentist yet. My 10 year old daughter fell on a Saturday night and chipped her front tooth. First thing Monday morning I started calling all the dentists in my network from the Cigna list. All either didn’t answer the phone or said they couldn’t get her in that day and one even told me they could examine her the next day but probably couldn’t fix the tooth for a couple of weeks! I was beginning to panic because she obviously didn’t want to return to school with a badly chipped front permanent tooth. The receptionist at Dr. Faiz office was able to get her an appointment in 45 minutes. Whew. When we got there, all of his staff were SO nice to me and my daughters. (I had let my oldest skip school and come along with us, good thing too because they went ahead and worked her in the schedule for a cleaning while we were sitting there!) Kirsten had to get numbing shots for them to file down her original tooth and put a temporary crown on. The numbing shots hurt a lot, as everyone who has been to a dentist knows. The dentist we used to see would threaten the girls to make them not cry during the shots. He was an old cranky man and he would tell them if they cried, mommy would have to leave the room. (We were in a small town at the time and there weren’t a lot of dentists to choose from :)). Dr. Faiz was amazing. Kirsten began to cry and whimper a little while getting the shots and Dr. Faiz told her, «It’s almost done. I’m sorry the shots hurt for a second but I love you for being so brave.» Wow. I was stunned! He was so kind to her. I think he has a daughter about the same age so he is sympathetic. The staff and dental assistants were so incredibly sweet to us and called the girls «honey» and praised them repeatedly during the procedures. The administrative staff quickly filed my insurance for me and laid out all the costs in black and white so there was no confusion. Both girls are getting their braces with Dr. Faiz and they set up everything and did all the x-​rays, moldings and paperwork that day. Dr. Faiz personally called to check on Kirsten that night and gave me his personal cell phone number to call with any concerns. I have never had a dentist do that in all of my 31 years and no one else I know has had a dentist do that either. His staff has called to check on Kirsten since then and Kirsten is so happy to be getting a porcelain crown AND her braces on in two weeks! I was blown away by Dr. Faiz and his staff. I think if we ever move away, I will drive however far I need to so we can continue with him. I even referred my friend and her daughter!

Horrible dentist. Do NOT go to him if you need dentures.
1. The temporary dentures he cast for us were horribly made; after the tooth removal, we went back over several weeks to try and get them to fit properly. They fit wrong, pinched, would not adhere, and caused my partner to gag. After giving up and going to a different dentist not covered by our insurance out of sheer desperation, we were told that they were badly made. While he was able to get them to fit somewhat better, it was more or less hopeless. We were out of pocket $ 1600 for these pieces of crap. My mother went through the same process three years ago (different dentist) and had nothing like this occur.
2. He sent my partner for a round of audioplasty six weeks after tooth removal; we later found out this was a no-​no, and the jaw should be allowed to remodel and adjust and should smooth out without additional surgery. If it does need surgery, it won’t be a call a dentist can make for at least 6 – 8 months when the jaw has finished healing. So, additional unnecessary surgery.
3. Like the above, he wanted to schedule my partner for casting for his permanent set of dentures, 30 days after surgery. Like audioplasty, this isn’t done for 6 to 8 months after the initial tooth removal, otherwise your jaw is still healing and changing shape. Casting this far out will result in dentures that do not fit later on. We had read up on-​line on what to expect as a time-​line for healing, and balked at doing this. Later, the 2^nd dentist looked horrified by this suggestion.
If we had done the above, we would have been paying out for a third set of dentures. At between $ 1600 to $ 2600, this is a pricey mistake!
