This place looks pretty good and the staff were friendly but the food didn’t taste all that great. I had the lemon sole which was good but the outside was a little soggy. It came with rice and broccoli which, sad to say, was soggy as well.

We came for the Mother Day dinner. We chose lobster bisque for appetizer and were said that they don’t have them any more. Waiting time was 30 minutes between any servings. All dishes were very little. My grilled pork chop was overburnt and was bitter. Side dishes seemed to be from the can food. Horrible experience! Not recommend!!!

We were very unhappy with our experience here last night. It was my fathers birthday celebration and a bunch of us were there because it’s a favorite restaurant of his. We asked to see the specials many times and the waitress kept saying she didn’t know what they were or when they would be available. So we waited longer and still nothing. Finally we ordered off the menu. She then tells us that the cook walked out and that someone, I believe the owner(Frank), was cooking. The food finally came out after a long wait and half of the meals were messed up. And the food was not good. Then to make matters worse, they didn’t even attempt to apologize or give us a discount on the meals after putting us through all of it. It was a birthday celebration ruined by a staff who didn’t handle the situation well at all. Bad service. Bad food. Very disappointed.

I wish I could rate this place lower than 1 star. I just had the most horrible lasagna I have ever had in my 42 years of life. First: the portion size; it was approximately 7 bites of food. Second: the lasagna itself. It was obviously frozen and reheated. The worst part though was the sauce: it wasn’t covered in meat sauce or marinara. It was instead covered in some horrible white sauce that almost tasted like ranch dressing. I will NEVER. EVER. Eat at this place again. Overpriced and tasted like crap. Do yourself a favor and get something from Campizis.

Finally, a REAL Italian restaurant! I’ve been wanting to try this place for quite some time. As a matter of fact, I eyeball it every time I pass by it on my way to Home Depot. I called them to have my birthday dinner on Saturday, Dec 12, but they had a private event scheduled and were closed to the public. I was extremely determined and tried again a week later and on a week day this time. The waiter served my friend and I at our pace; not once did we feel rushed. The food is light compared to most Italian dishes and very traditional. The atmosphere is private and romantic with great seating and arrangement of tables throughout. They also have a beautiful outdoor patio area. The dessert tray(they actually have real dessert on it) was a first for me… they wheeled it over and served directly from it. Unfortunately, we didn’t try any(trying to be good before the holidays), but it all looked amazing and homemade. All in all, we had a lovely experience here and dinner was delicious. I plan on coming here again soon with my husband and family!

My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight and it was a delightful experience all around. The restaurant is quiet and unassuming, but the servers somehow know the names of every person walking in the door. Most of the other guests were older and obviously are regulars, leading me to think the food and service are consistently good. The service is slow paced, but I appreciate the servers allowing us to stay and enjoy ourselves. They aren’t trying to rush anyone or turn tables for profit. The food was simplistic and traditional and very well executed. It was wonderful to have lobster bisque and have actual chunks of lobster meat in it! The coffee was tasty, but we were too stuffed to order dessert. I thought the food was reasonably priced too– we had an app, salads, entrees, wine, and coffees for $ 60.We will absolutely be back and hope to become some of the regulars!

I bought my lovely girlfriend here on a Friday night and although the waitstaff were very nice, the food was very plain as if it was cooked using no recipe. Additionally, the food was pretty pricy and doesn’t include a salid when ordering an entrée. I do not recommend unless you like plain, no spices and cold.

We love Cappuccino. The food is great(never had a bad item), service is above and beyond and their dessert cart is the perfect ending. A hidden gem in Richardson.

I was looking forward to trying this place out since a lot of the reviews were good. I was NOT impressed. Service was very slow. Food was expensive and bland as can be. I would definitely not go back.

This is my boyfriend and I’s regular Italian restaurant — we absolutely love it here and probably eat here once a month. The place is always quiet and clean, and the food is simply amazing. We always feel that the staff is attentive and professional, and we love seeing the familiar faces each time we come. We’ve tried just about every dish on the menu at this point, and our two favorites are the tortellini and the linguine vongole. I also love their shrimp dishes, especially the shrimp parmigiana. But make sure to leave room for dessert! The dessert tray is always piled high with scrumptious temptations to top off your meal. I can’t say enough how much we love this restaurant. The service and quality of the food makes it feel very high end, but without being intimidating or uncomfortable. No matter if you’re dressed up for a fancy event or a romantic date night, or you’re just coming in from casual shopping — everyone is welcome and made to feel welcome.

I love Cappuccino. :) I have been a regular for several years. The manager(or owner) always greets me at the door, shakes my hand, and seats my party. I always feel welcomed, as if invited into a home. This is a perfect«romantic» restaurant. It is quiet, and«high end» while still somehow feeling comfortable. It is neither pretentious nor stuffy. Most of the clientele are older couples, even elderly. They tend to dress up, often wearing suits with bow-ties. This is wonderful for two reasons: 1) They are very polite and quiet. 2) It offers a very romantic view while on a date. :)(Seeing an older man hold the door for his wife, and hand her a flower, both dressed to the nines, is the embodiment of lasting, true love.) (You don’t have to wear a suit. Most people go in business-casual) The food and service are excellent. If there is such a thing as a friendly, comfortable, neighborhood, «very nice» high-end restaurant, then this is it.

Went here for Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend and the place was very welcoming and the service was great. We are vegetarian and they had a great option for us. I had the eggplant parmigiana and it was amazing the cheese, sauce and seasoning was all on point. Their starter bread was also warm and great. It’s a nice romantic and private place. Highly recommend it!

Frank, the owner of this beautiful restaurant does an outstanding job at keeping his customers in his restaurant happy. The restaurant is so beautiful and clean. For Christmas time the whole restaurant is decorated. Willy our server was perfect, very attentative and personable. Every Wednesday our grandparents eat at this restaurant because of the great service and delicious food. Whenever we’re in the area we will always eat here. Thank you for all the service you’ve provided.

The service was friendly but a little slow. Things were brought out in a weird order. For example, we had to ask for bread but they didn’t bring out appetizer plates for the bread. The portions were adequate but the quality of the food wasn’t anything spectacular. I probably won’t be returning.

I was expecting better food for the price and atmosphere, which included a football game on TV. Am I in a bar? The bread tasted store-bought. The Lobster Bisque was a bit on the salty side and the lobster was overcooked. I had the Chicken Picante which is chicken breast in a jalapeño cream sauce. The sauce had little if any seasoning making bland. I couldn’t taste anything except jalapeño. Staff were friendly and attentive but I don’t think I will be back. If an italian restaurant can’t get lobster bisque right then I have no faith in the rest of the food.

A friend of mine chose Cappucino’s for her birthday dinner & it does not disappoint! Tony was our waiter & he balances just the right amount of attentiveness to letting you enjoy your dinner. She had the spaghetti bolognese & I had the chicken piccata. Both arrived piping hot and very tasty. The chicken was moist & tender with garlic butter & capers. We finished the meal with Spumoni & Tony put a candle on it & quietly sang a few bars of ‘Happy Birthday’ – no big fanfare, just perfect!
