This dive bar a truely empyrean experience. Cheap beer, lots of smoke, good service and great food. It’s my home away from home.

Food is awesome! Not typical bar food. They have off menu items just ask what some of the favs are, they will gladly tell you. Great prices on drinks(heavy pour) and food. Staff is always fun and engaging. They have karaōke and pool table. Great place to be for football Sunday. Cowboy central.

Diviest dive bar I’ve ever dived into. My bill for a couple beers and meals for two came to about 18 bucks. In Uptown that would’ve cost at least $ 150. Works for me.

Went here after Free Play cause we saw a pool table in the back. Walked in with some friends and it was little awkward. Everybody in their were in their late 60s. Not a smoker so took a star off, so yea they allowed smoking here. Bartenders were chilled. Only came here for the pool table and it was nice. Played some random dudes. Restrooms are a little funny for guys.

This place used to be really good, but now it seems to be taken over by old people. This was never an amazing bar, but cheap drinks combined with a young crowd made this place fun. Plus, they used to have an awesome bartender that doesn’t work there any more. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars and not less is because this used to be a fun place to hang out. Pros: Cheap drinks on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Cons: It’s for old people now. If you don’t want to hang around a bunch of 40 – 60 year olds go somewhere else. $ 1(technically $ 1.25) drink specials aren’t that hard to find in Dallas, so you can easily get cheap drinks without having to hang out with people 20 – 30 years older.

Regulars who smoke only. There is never a need or «let’s try a new place» night to come here. It’s bar food only. Nothing special. It’s hard to determine which was cooked longer, the bun or the burger. Apparently well done is the only way to a burger. Let’s forget the fact that took almost 20 minutes to get just a burger. Only good news about the night, there was hockey on and Frank Sinatra.

Checked out this place over the weekend with some friends, and it was a blast! We were looking for a local spot to grab some beers and visit, and it was my friends suggestion. Beer selection was solid, and they had a full bottle of my favorite whiskey on the back bar. It was very laid back and welcoming, staff was cool and made sure we were taken care of. I don’t always get to this area of town, but it is a great spot to grab a drink and party with friends.

Tucked away in the corner of Beltline and Plano Rd. in Richardson and when you say Richardson it means it is smokey as hell.!although, it wasn’t the case the time I was there, you could still really smell the wall and carpet attacking your nostrils with the cigarette smell. That aside the patrons and bar tender are friendly. They recognized right away that it was our first time there. Drinks are cheap and stiff. We had a couple of drinks and left. I just couldn’t stand the smell.

Nice neighborhood bar. Smoking is allowed, so watch out. Lots of old timers hanging around and lots of old country music playing. They carry local beers which is great. Other than that, is your classic dive with darts, games, TV, and juke box. Could be really fun in a group. Went back a second time and tried some food which came back pretty burnt(burger) and soggy(fries). An older gentleman was attempting to speak to some inebriated young women next to me and began to get a little… racy. Bartender was great as usual. Had my beer, paid, and left, probably not to return.

Not a bad place to stop for a drink, not much of an exciting atmosphere. Bartenders are professional, not exactly friendly. Affordable but not a place to really have fun.

Great little dive sports bar. Tons of regulars, and the food is awesome! If you get a chance try the wings, Philly cheese steak, or black jack burger. Karaōke on Saturday and plenty of parking.

Decent bar but there are probably better spots in the area. The people there at the time were older which I wasn’t in the mood for at the moment. However, this place also has karaōke one night which I need to try out. Also, I would recommend keeping it to simpler drinks. They have good prices which is good but the bartender who tried to make something for me didn’t do the best job… she was nice though so just lower your standards a bit and you’ll probably be fine. If you like dives, it might be worth checking… otherwise try someplace else.

Even though I despise cigarette smoke, I actually enjoy this bar. It has a very casual ambiance and menu that makes it easy to become a regular. In recent years with the growing popularity of e-cigs, the smoke intensive scent has become more tolerable. The pizza made here is fresh and legendary. I opted for the philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and jalapenos and was not disappointed. During the Cowboy’s games, they have a wheel they spin during every Cowboy’s scoring possession for the oppurtunity to receive $ 1 drink specials. On Sundays, the kitchen is closed and they have an open potluck. Aspects such as these are what keep people coming back!

A pretty good little hole-in-the-wall bar with a lot of regulars. The place is clean and the drinks are good. All the waitresses are very friendly. There is one female bartender in the evenings that seems to be very opinionated, but it wouldn’t keep me from coming back. For reasons I won’t mention, I probably would not eat here, just drink and hang out. They have a pool table, dance floor, and good karaōke guy.

Chase Place is everything a real dive bar should be and more. Dim lighting? Check. Regulars glued to their stools? Check. Attentive bar staff who remember your face and drink? Check. Loud jukebox/pool table/dartboard? Check, check, and check. Rolling clouds of second hand smoke so enormous it looks like Motley Crue is about to take the stage? I can’t write«check» in a large enough font to do the smoke justice. Chase Place ticks all the right boxes you want in a dive bar then adds an option you don’t expect(but you’ll thank the bar gods for if you’ve drank enough to feel loopy) in great food that, while not being healthy in any way, does hit the spot when you need a little food to soak up your excess. And, really, if you’re drinking while breathing in an atmosphere that’s more cigarette smoke than air then do you care much? Didn’t think so. As has been mentioned by others, ad infinitum, they really do have a sign saying they encourage smoking which is probably selling point as smoking is banned at bars in Dallas. While«Enormous rolling clouds of second hand smoke» is hyperbole it’s not far from the truth, so before you go just accept the fact your clothes and hair will be permeated with the smell when you leave. Just throw your clothes directly in the washer when you get home and wash your hair three or four times when you wake up and you’ll be fine. The drinks really are cheap here but the selection of premium liquors isn’t half bad, especially for a tiny dive hidden away in a strip mall. There are TV’s behind the bar if you’d like to watch a game while turning up a few, and the regulars are incredibly friendly. I’ve gone to the bar to get drinks for my table and gotten involved in a conversation with a stranger so long my friends sent out a search party on more than one occasion. Karaōke on Saturday night is an experience unto itself. Even if you’re like me and don’t sing the people watching is a joy. I’ve never had a night here that wasn’t fun so you won’t be disappointed. With the authentic dive bar atmosphere, cheap drinks, eclectic crowd, and all the entertainment Chase Place is a great way to spend an evening.

Great karaōke fun on Saturday nights! Cheap drinks and stiff pours keep this little stink-hole on the top of my neighborhood Richardson bars. Honestly, I think I would go every Saturday if not for the billowing clouds of smoke, as is my bane with all Richardson bars. My precious pink lungs cannot handle the cancer cloud. The décor is amazing. It’s like the set of Cheers. As you enter there is a circa-1981 map of Richardson with sponsored businesses, I don’t think 1 of them is still around. Still, if I absolutely must drink local then I’m usually here.
