Great Clips

Please don’t go to the Arab or indian or Mexican looking lady there. She just cut off my side burns without giving me opportunity to do anything. I am so furious right now.

Been going here since 2007. It’s going to be my last visit here today. Worst haircut of my life last two times. My ‘hairstylist’ today was someone Brenda Torres. Last name Torres for sure.
It was 2 pm and not even crowded to think she may have done it to get moving faster. I have attached a pic so you would realize what messy job she did with the sides. My haircut was complete in less than 4 minutes. All she asked me was if I wanted to buy those conditioners and gels they display.
I know it is great clips and can’t expect anything good — but can you at the least cut the hair like an average grade barber?
Can’t wait to have my hair back and go to a better barber. Thanks Great Clips for ruining it. Not giving you a chance ever again.

Unfortunately this place is getting very greedy. Not only have they increased their prices, but they’re now getting rid of both the UTD discount and the $ 9.99 haircut cards. They say they’re more of an «upscale» salon, so that’s why it’s more, but as you’ll see from other reviews the service is on par with salons like the ones you’ll find at Walmart.

I been coming here for years and they are always appreciate me coming here. I recommend this place to anyone. You can always online check in too since place is always packed with UTD student.

It’s not too bad as most of Unilocalers comments. Don’t forget the price is inexpensive. Impossible for You want everything with low price.

HORRIBLE service!!! If your not a man DO NOT go here as they will RUSH through your hair cut to make more money! They will not even wet your hair prior to cutting it! To top it off when I asked to have someone else finish the hair cut on my child the employee HIT ME on my hand and began to scream! When I called to speak with a manager they blew it off! Bad service!

I have been going here at this place since last 1.5 years and every time I have returned with a shabby haircut. The only good thing is you get a UTD discount. Not going there henceforth now!

I have blunt cut bangs that needed a basic trim. The lady who cut my hair named Bunny gave me the worst hair cut of my life. She had NOOO idea what she was doing. she tried to layer it? when i really did not ask for that then there are just huge chunks out of my now super short and uneven bangs. She tried to send me on my way when one side of my bangs was a whole ²¹⁄₂ inches longer than the other side. I politely asked her to even them out. Man did I make the wrong move by asking her to touch my hair again because yes she cut the long side short. really really short.. I asked her to leave my bangs touching my eyebrows and they are now half way to up my forehead and too short to even clip back to hide this horrid job. If a little asian lady named Bunny tries to cut your hair. RUN OUT THE DOOR. She is awful. Now I have to live with this horrible excuse of a hair cut. seriously didn’t even know it was possible to mess it up this bad. I wish i could post a picture. It’s almost comical.

I’ve been a customer here for the last 13 years, but not any more. The online checkin app is a complete joke. It will tell you there is a 1 minute wait, then you will show up and wait for 20 AFTER you checked in online.
I would say my last three hair cuts have been bad, and have gotten worse each time. Today, I had an Asian lady (not that it matters… many of the good stylists I have had over the years are of Asian origin)… but this one could not speak English well enough to do her job… I would ask her a question like «are you making it straight in the back» and she would answer with «thank you»… um… what? Hair cut was terrible, but I couldn’t explain well enough what I needed done.
Walked out frustrated and I think it showed… one of the regular stylists stopped me to ask if everything was ok… I just asked if I could have a brush to brush my hair (which was still dripping wet), paid (no tip) and walked out.
Won’t be back. You shouldn’t be back either.

Get our kids’ haircuts here and am always pleased!

I’ve been going here since 1997, yes, that’s 14 years. Why do I keep going here? Because I’m a creature of habit and don’t like change. I know what to expect and my expectations are almost always met, sometimes exceeded. When I was unemployed and volunteering full time, the stylists wouldn’t accept a tip from me, that’s probably a pretty good reason too.
At regular price, the haircut is a little pricey. But I almost never pay full price. Previously, they had a $ 50 gift card that you could get a free haircut, so it was, 4 haircuts for the price of 3. Not too shaggy, I mean shabby. They stopped doing that and went to the $ 9.99 unlimited haircut gift card. Buy as many haircuts as you want for $ 9.99 but they had to be purchased before a certain day. I bought 10. Recently, they had a card that gave you two free haircuts in April, deeply discounted in May, somewhat discounted in June, so on so forth. Not too bad, plus you can get coupons in the Money Mailer for $ 6.99.
I’ve seen many a hair stylist come and go and I’d say the experience and talent of the stylists has remained the same. Some are better than others, but I’m not too choosy. I’d rather get in and out quickly, than wait for a particular scissor. My hair has never been messed up, but it has been cut shorter than I wanted.
A couple things I’ve learned here. Cowlicks can only be mitigated, not eliminated. Hair paste is much better than gel (at least for my thick unmanageable hair).
If you come into the shop with a hat and are all sweaty, you get a free rinse!

Nothing extraordinary about this place. My hair has been messed up a couple of times. The bald guy is good.
You get some discount if you are a UTD student (that’s probably the best part).
