This place is awesome! I don’t usually go to nail salons, but I coincidentally came here because my bf was working out near by, and I needed something to do to pass the time. I walked in an hour before they closed (7:30), and they still accepted me even though they had other people waiting. Lily was great! I’m definitely coming back!

They do a fantastic job! I have cheated on them and gone to a different, cheaper nail place to only get what I paid for. I have definitely had to come back to have them do my nails. They are very nice, always have good conversation and have never had them talk behind my back in Vietnamese. This is the place to go!

I always come here for the $ 30 mani/​pedi deal on weekdays. It really just depends on who you get as your manicurist at any salon. I’ve been cut every single time (except once) I’m there but I still like this place. The ladies are very nice!
Downside is this place isn’t the most sanitary — but compared to most other salons, they’re probably better or about the same.

I came here for the first time almost 2 weeks ago to get some French tips. Normally, I try to grow out my nails and get a gel/​shellac set. This time, my nails were too short so I went with acrylic. And I definitely had to get French tips since I was about to be in a wedding as a bridesmaid and wanted my hands to look classy.
I haven’t gotten acrylic nails in a decade, and now I remember why they’re so terrible! I hate the thickness of it and how it feels on my hands. Taking it off will also be a pain. HOWEVER, I have to say that the staff here are great. The acrylic didn’t dry very well before I left (bubbles developed) and they immediately got to work to fix it even though they were past close. They didn’t try to rush it either, so I would say that customer service is superb. Though the whole experience took 2 hours (I also got a pedicure), I would go back again because of how I was treated. Next time I’m not getting acrylic… still hate it! Perhaps it’s time I try Next Gen!

Mary did an awesome job on my nails!!! I am happy to say that I have finally found a nail salon that does my nails right! Will definitely be returning!

I got a shellac mani/​pedi here a few weeks ago, however it only lasted 1 week before it started chipping off. :(

I love this place. Great prices. They do a fabulous job. I love their next generation tips. Very knowledgeable about latest products and services. I happened to be in the neighborhood and saw their great reviews on Unilocal and it was absolutely worth my trip there. Very friendly staff.

Mary and Chin have taken this small nail salon and turned it into something so wonderful. My roommate and I are always looking forward to seeing what has newly been changed in their salon. Weather it is a new big flat screen T.V. or tons of new gel polishes.
So today my roommate and I made our triumphant return back to our beloved salon. First we noticed their new big screen T.V. screens and and the then we offered our drinks while we got our nails done.
Chin and Mary were showing us some new samples of the colors they recently acquired and we stumbled upon the Next Gen gel/​acrylics and OMG this is the coolest new thing out there. First off Mary prepped my nails and I have been addicted to the gels as of late so they were a little thin when I got in but they she started adding the new colors and keep dipping my nails in the powder and it covering it with a coat of adhesive and then she filed down the nails. And then she put the top coat on and it was amazing!
My nails feel so much more healthy than when I had come in and they feel think but are really light weight. Mary and Chin both told me that these would last for 3 weeks and withstand all the dishes I wash and all of the hand washing I do and not chip! When Mary had finished my nails they felt a little tight, as if I just had gotten a acrylic full set but there is not pain or soreness.
As usual I am so excited to come back and do the Next Gen French manicure!
I love this place they always treat us with respect and love and they really do a phenomenal job!

K T Nails Salon is going to be my new go to spot! They are so friendly and they do a wonderful job!
My sister and I went to get our nails done on Tuesday for my birthday, being a girly girl I had to get my nails done for my birthday. We both decided to get gel nails because gel nails is life changing and they were having a promotion! Gel manicure & pedicure for ONLY $ 55! That’s a bargain! I decided I wanted to have something bold for my birthday and I got diamonds on my left ring finger and my right index finger! They did a terrific job and I am in love with my nails! K T Nails Salon probably has the largest selection of gel nails! They usually close at 7:30, but the kind owner and nail technicians stayed an extra 40 minutes to finish our nails! They were so friendly and did not rush whatsoever! The owner even gave me a rose massage lotion as an early birthday gift!
Overall, my sister and I had a wonderful with K T Nails Salon! We are definitely coming back! :)

I received a gift certificate for my birthday for here and I will be back! The girl who did my spa pedicure was so nice and gentle and did such a great job. Very happy with their service.

Seems like they get new owners every 6 months and prices, hours, employees are always changing. I went here for years, but a couple of years ago they literally changed owners 3x in 6 months and the quality and price were not consistent. I changed to a place down the road and had a much better experience… Consistently.

My new nail place! They have a bunch of great deals and promotions for their customers and are so good at what they do! I had Lily and she was great! She talked to me a lot and was super sweet and even gave me a small discount.

Just relocated from CA and I had gone to another place closer to my house and it was awful. So I got on Unilocal and found this amazing little shop. I dropped by on a Sunday just to see if they were open and they were. Everyone was nice and friendly. Mary asked me what I would like and I showed her the horrible nails I had and asked for a full new set. She was gentle when taking off my old nails and she did an amazing job with the pink and white acrylic. The price was great and the service was even better. Everything was clean and it smelled really good not like the over powering chemical smell you get at a lot of other places. This is my new nail place, I will be going back and recommending this place to everyone.

I found this place while taking classes at UTD. The first time I went was in September 2011. The service was cool from what I remember. I really liked the card i can use for any service $ 15 or more and you get a free manicure after about ten uses. The second time I went was about December or January 2012. By this time they had new management. The new owner of the shop (older lady that calls everyone «baby») wouldn’t let me stamp my card. I already had 2 stamps at this point so i was pretty pissed. But she stressed that it was from a different owner and that she could give me a new card (which ended up being the exact same card) and stamp that one. Ok I kind of understand where she was coming from but its not like i was trying to redeem a full card for a free manicure. She could have given me at least one stamp just on GP and good customer service. But anyway, I continued to go back even after the old lady cut my cuticle one time until i bled. Normally being cut would make me never go back but i didn’t want to waste all of my stamps (lol) so I said I would go back until I finished it.
Angela is great with designs but there is a young girl (she’s pregnant now) that I go to for manicures. She is so gentle and thorough!!! She literally makes me feel so relaxed that I could fall asleep while getting a manicure which is not normally a very relaxing experience for me because I’m watching them like a hawk to ensure they don’t do a half job or cut me. But I so trust her which is a big deal because I’m so anal about nails. However, with that being said, she does not file or buff me (I do that on my own because I have yet to find anyone who can not file them crooked or buff them to death!!). I wear my real nails and they are long so I prefer to just do file/​buff as I’ve lost all confidence in any manicurist to do that to MY liking. But with cuticles she is amazing. She also is NOT great at painting. She has a habit of thinning the paint out at the tip too much so my nails are chipping after the first day! But if I’m getting a manicure I just deal with it because she’s so nice and i don’t want to be «mean» by asking Angela to paint for me as if the young girl isn’t capable of doing so. And she is also nice and quiet. I’m not really a small talk person so aside from greeting each other and me explaining to you what I want, I don’t talk much.
Now, the reason I wrote the review is because the second to the last time I was there (10÷1÷12), it was my last stamp before my free manicure I had been looking forward to. I went in for a polish change on my nails and toes which is $ 16. The card states that you may receive one stamp for a service of $ 15 or more. But when I went to use it the owner told me that I could not! She said that it can only be used for mani/​pedi. I told her that it doesn’t state that on the card and i went back and forth with her for 3 minutes or so until she finally gave in only because another customer chimed in that it wasn’t fair and that it was my last stamp anyway. So she gave me the stamp and wrote «no mo» on it i guess to indicate that I was not allowed to use the card without getting a mani/​pedi. I was heated and this is why: that’s not how I do business. You honor what you state and you are loyal to customers that are loyal to you. You don’t try to take advantage of them. And since I hadn’t been there in a while and she asked me if I wanted a mani/​pedi when I walked in the door and I told her just a paint, I felt like she was just trying to take advantage to get me to come back another time before I could get my last stamp. I went back for my last free stamp and probably wouldn’t go back unless I was in the area and just need to waste some time.

I have so many good things to say about this business. Note that it is a hole in the wall joint, so if you want a total spa, luxurious experience, this is not for you. If you want great quality at a good price, come here.
1. Reasonably priced. I’m in love with shellac now, so here’s the breakdown.
Mon-​Thurs– they have specials:
a) $ 30 spa mani-​pedi (regular, no shellac)
b) $ 20 spa pedi, and add $ 15 for shellac
c) $ 45 spa mani-​pedi with shellac for both. (WHOAAA!)
Fri– Sat:
-$ 24 spa pedi, and add $ 15 for shellac
2. Service:
greeted as soon as I walked in, and was offered complimentary water, soda or wine. WHOA! :) They carry so many shellac colors so I was in heaven.
3. Angela– the shellac expert
— where do I start? she is so pleasant, so sweet, so skilled. she gives the most amazing foot scrubs and massages EVER. I almost fell asleep, I was so relaxed. Pays close attention to your toes, and takes her time to make sure it looks good.
Since Angela is the only one who does shellac there, you might want to call and book an appt with her. I didn’t have anyone after me waiting on shellac so she could take her time.
Credit cards accepted but def try to tip her cash. Everyone loves instant money.

I was a little hesitant when I first walked in because there were absolutely no customers in there at all. My friend and I wanted to get our nails done together for a little bonding time. Originally we went to Q Nails down the street. Based on Unilocal reviews, we thought it would be a good option because they were quoted as being very friendly. Instead they were rude and really busy, stating that they wouldn’t be able to help us for another 45 minutes. So we decided to come here instead. Boy am I glad! This was my first time ever getting shellac nails and I was already nervous about the process. Soaking fingers in a bowl of acetone is not my idea of a fun time. Anyway, Angela was my technician and she was really helpful. Throughout the entire process she asked me if things looked okay or if I wanted my French tips to be thinner or thicker. I personally appreciated this because I usually feel bad when I keep asking the technician to change things or straighten certain nails. By asking me what I thought of it, I was feeling more and more comfortable throughout the entire process. She also gave me suggestions on how thick to make the French tip because the gel manicure lasts longer and my nails will grow. I thought that was thoughtful that she wanted my nails to look the best they could.
It didn’t take very long and it’s not much different from normal manicures. My nails look great and I’m extremely pleased! It was only $ 35 for a shellac nail manicure with French tips ($ 30 for gel plus $ 5 for tips). They also have a lot of great specials to offer you as well as a frequent buyer card. I will definitely be back and will be looking forward to my free 10^th manicure. This is a little hole in the wall and is not extremely enticing from the outside, but I will be back and I hope that by then not TOO many people find out about this little gem. :)
Another plus is they have a lot of TVs on so you’re always entertained. Angela was great too because she didn’t bombard me with a bunch of imposing questions but she let me enjoy my manicure and socialize with my friend. They also offer beverages like wine, soda or water.
If anything is different when I come back the next time, I’ll be sure to update my review as well!

I am soooo picky when it comes to getting my nails and toes done. I have my license in esthetics so i know what to look for as far as sanitation for sure. I can also appreciate that they have there license displayed so I can see and not hidden in some drawer. I have been going here for over a month and I am very happy with the service, cleanliness and prices. You won’t be disappointed .

In between my classes, I came in to KT Nails last week afternoon to get my nails done since it’s located just a few minutes away from my campus. I saw on the signs on display regarding the newly remodeled layout and the new management, and I must say that it looks and feels very clean and sanitary compared to many other places I’ve gone to.
One thing I noticed was the HUGE selection of colors and and unique tips available to choose from. The new owner was super kind and I can definitely tell that she emphasizes great customer service and satisfaction among her staff. During my visit, she offered me a soda (and wine) while they worked on my pedicure. The atmosphere is super relaxing and the nail technician was very skilled in his work. They were very accommodating as well and worked quickly when I told them that I was on a schedule. I was in and out in less than hour, and they even gave me an extra massage!
For such a great price, it’s definitely rare to come across a salon with excellent service like this. I will definitely come back to KT Nails when I need a new manicure/​pedicure :)

This place has a huge sign saying it is under new management — 30% off. I would have paid full price how pampered I was.
I was only in Richardson on a business trip with a few hours to kill and in desperate need for new toe polish. I searched Unilocal for a nail salon near my hotel and came across KT Nails.
I arrived at 6:45pm and realized that they closed in 45 minutes. Most quick, down and dirty nail salons can bang out a pedicure in 30 minutes so I was pleased and not surprised that they took me in and said «pick a color». At that point, I decided their prices were so reasonable and the menu I was presented was so delectable for manicure services that I couldn’t resist both.
«Alan» was a great nail technician. While I watched Man versus Food on the tele, he gently clipped, scrubbed, dipped in parafin, and massaged my feet to the point I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to stand up they were so relaxed.
These folks stayed open late and finished my manicure at the same time as my pedicure. I was quite spoiled getting my arms lotioned, wrapped in hot towels and massaged while my toes were being painted.
I don’t know about the old management, but the new folks are great giving you an hour of relaxing self indulgence at a very reasonable price. if you are in the area, make it your business to get a mani/​pedi at KT Nails.

I went looking around for a semi-​cheap fill and found out that $ 15 bucks here was the cheapest so I took it. The lady was nice and didnt hurt my nails or anything, the sides were a bit sloppy (excess acrylic) but I filed them off when I got home.
If youre looking for a different kind of tip for acrylics (zebra, hot pink, gold etc.)this place has EVERY COLOR, so thats something that makes this pace stand out.
