L&S installed a State Select 80 gal water heater in our new build home, with a 6 year warranty. It leaked after 3 years and needed replacement, still under warranty, it cost us 250.00 to install the same kind with a new 6 yr warranty. 3 years later this new one burned out and leaked and we needed a replacement. 5 days later, still without hot water, L&S decided they would charge us 500.00 for labor and install the same type again. I spoke with people who were not part of L&S who said this was a very poor water heater. Also Home Depot and consumer reports both DIDNOT recommend this brand. L&S wanted us to know they are NOT a service company. If they install water heaters with a warranty, they are a service company whether they accept the responsibility or not. They say they install in new homes only. Go figure, the new home owners may well experience what we did. We threw the towel in and went to Home Depot for a Rheem with a 12 year warranty, cost and labor for $ 750.00. I consider L&S type of customer service as low integrity. I would not recommend L&S to anyone.

I’ve used this company several times for my plumbing needs and always have been satisfied. They show up when they say they will, the technicians are knowledgeable and fix the problem the first time, and although plumbers are far from cheap these days, I think their prices are reasonable.
