Haven’t tried anything besides the sweets and the samosas… BEST and spiciest vegetarian samosas in town!

Royal sweets has always been my family’s go-to for mithai. Their chat is also pretty good, had the masala dosa yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Got several dessert items. Did not like anything at all. They are either too sweet or too hard.

Stale food. Unhygienic surrounding. Used to be a good place a year ago. New staff is unprofessional.

Worst food. They serve stale food all the time. Avoid this place if you care about your health. Sweets you get in this place can be easily 1year old.

This place has pretty much all Indian sweets that I ever want. I got some kalakand for family which turned out to be awesome. We heated them for 5 secs and finished eating these yummy sweets pretty quickly. If you ever miss Indian sweets or have cravings and you live in this area, go here. You’ll find all types of Indian sweets here and it will definitely relish your taste buds.

I usually go in the mid morning on a week day and pick up a variety of sweets and savories. The prices are definitely steep but they have a good selection. I really don’t have anything to compare with so I’m not sure if there other places that offer better tasting items. Service has been spot on, simply because I’m the only one there at the time i go, so i usually have multiple people filling my order.

Ordered a dozen samosas, and they were crispy and filled with potato goodness. They gave me two huge containers of the hot and sweet chutney. This is the perfect place to get small Indian finger food and sweets. The price per samosa is a little steep, being priced at $ 1.25/samosa, considering the only ingredients are potatoes, peas and flour. Other than that, this place is a great place to indulge in Indian delicacies. The service was okay, I was neglected for 5 minutes, until someone came up to me to ask me what I wanted. Overall: Food: 4⁄5 Service: 2⁄5

They’re known for their mithai but I like their chaat more. I like their samosa chaat, hot or cold. Not the best chaat in Dallas though.

I love their samosas here, and they cost about $ 1.25 a samosa. The spices are just right, and they are a great snack. I like the mixture varieties, but I feel that $ 6.99/lb is a bit steep in price. There is also a section of desserts as well as snacks. They have meals here also if you’re hungry. There is a small section of tables. If you’re in a rush, come by, it’s the fast food version of Indian food.

In a drab dark 70s strip mall bubble gum pink neon advertising«fast food» and«sweets» promises delights with a few ounces of ironic flash — and it delivers. As a cop searched a man with a turban outside, the richness of Richardsons ethnic demographics glowed like treasures inside, with a large menu of vast Hindu desserts and hot food. An assertive Indian woman with an faint air of privilege and a healthy sense of entitlement commanded me a sample of a sweet I asked about. A honey ball stuffed with cream was as delicious as it looked made it easy to order more, as well as a couple of spicy samosas. Well the card minimum is $ 5 so that assuaged most of my guilt. The dining room may feel«fast food», but the dessert case was a magical Halloween holiday preface, bought by the pound and available in gift boxes, for a special gift. «It’s all butter and cream» my friend Amrutha noted, not knowing their exact names, «it’s got to be good.» The happy all Indian patrons enjoying hot meals table side ensures I’ll be back for a meal.

Major major meh, as Unilocal describes a 2 star rating. I tried the masala and rava dosas and was so disappointed. The potato masala within the dosa is über bland(no salt and very little spice)… I’ve had much better dosas across the street at Udipi Café. I don’t know how they managed this, but the rava dosa was spicy and bland at the same time. There were big chunks of raw green chili pepper in the dosa dough, which had no other salt or flavor. Same goes for the sambar… no salt. South Indian food is obviously not their specialty… stick to chole bhature and chaat items. There is no type of structure to ordering. There were about 5 different groups of people just standing around near the counter… I had no idea who had already ordered, who was waiting for their food, and who was just standing around taking up space while they decided what to order. The staff behind the counter couldn’t care less what’s going on in front so you have to fend for yourself and somehow part the sea of people standing in front of the counter to order. A number system would really help here. There was about a 15 minute gap between receiving the rava dosa after getting the masala dosa. I was trying to be courteous and eat together with my friend, but by the time my friend got their rava dosa, my masala dosa was cold. Also, the lady taking my order asked for my name, which I assumed she would call out when my food was ready. Instead, she just shouted out the name of the item. There were 4 other people that ordered the same thing and none of us could figure out who’s food it was. No one behind the counter could tell us either. Super awkward. Moral of the story: avoid this place on weekends and the South Indian dishes. Bring your own water bottle because all they have is a very slow water fountain which a ton of people are usually crowded around.

Cons: Atrocious pricing. Indians beware! The chat menu has a different pricing than what will be charged. Dont go near the chat items. for people who how chat items tastes like. you will be in for a surprise. dahi puri is called sev puri here. Disappointing quality of food. Its surprising, that with so many competitive chaat places around Royal sweets still remains in business. Pros: none that I have seen.

I came here with my family while visiting Plano last week. I got the paneer dosa(which I’ve never had or seen before!) and the Rasmalai for dessert. The dosa was very affordable and came with sambar(which was top notch), and three chutneys. The dosa was huge as well and stuffed with crumbled paneer, chilis, bell peppers, and onion. It tasted a bit like Indo-Chinese fusion, which I love. My only criticism was that the dosa itself was on the oily/soggy side, and not as crisp as I like. The Rasmalai was very tasty too– no complaints there. My mom got samosas and liked them, and my stepdad had the Chana Bhatura which looked delicious but I was too full to try any! I will definitely be back for more dessert and to try the Bhatura.

Kind of on my Indian food kick right now. This place: thumbsup: Got recommended by a classmate. It’s pretty, uh… F-ing good. She asked if I was a-alright with eating vegetarian. Of course I am. About half my meals are vegetarian… the other half is meat!!! *badumtsst* To further what everyone else said, the samosa was bombdiggity maximus. I also ordered the chole bhature upon recommendation of said miscreant classmate. I had no inkling of what type of dish it was. Went in cold turkey. Dude…dude…duuuuuuuude. It was heaven in my mouth if heaven were a little spicy. It’s this chickpea curry concoction w/fried bread that is… so…goood…:cries: Holy… mother… go get some. I’d definitely be up in this place all the time if I gave up eating meat. AND I STILLHAVEN’T TRIEDTHEDESSERTS!
