History

Established in 1984.

The store in Richardson, which opened in 2003, is actually the second location for Silver Pyramid. In 1984, Steve Collins started his first store at Vikon Village. It developed such a strong following of loyal customers who said they knew of no other place to find the sort of cherished items they discovered there.

Steve Collins’ grandfather, Dr. Peter Gad Kitterman, was a physician who learned to read hieroglyphics and wrote a book, now out of print, called «Medicine in Ancient Egypt» which began Steve’s fascination with pyramids, therefore, it had to be the name of his store.

Silver Pyramid continues to grow and expand, and now has a presence on the internet at www.silverpyramid.com.

Meet the Business Owner

Steve C.

Business Owner

Steve’s passion for crystals began as a young boy, playing with his father’s collection. Later, in 1987, Shirley McClain’s movie, «Out on a Limb» had a profound impact on him. «I knew I needed to obtain some quartz crystals to open myself up to my life-path journey. I soon discovered that there was something special about them.» Since then, he has dedicated his life to the study of crystals and their ability to heal and assist in creation. His collection has grown from a few quartz crystals (which he has the «original» still today) to thousands of stones from around the world… and from other worlds (Moldavite, Tektite, Meteorite).

Steve’s Quote: «I love sharing them with you and finding new stones, and I am still amazed as every year I find new varieties of crystals to add to our collections. I was fortunate to train with two Tibetan Bowl Masters when they were touring the US and became a Seven Metal Bowl Practitioner.»
