Specialties
Teaching Indian Vocal Music to Children & Adults at locations in Richardson, Plano and Murphy
History
Established in 2002.
Swarlahari was founded in 2002 and has trained scores of students in the art of singing, specifically in Hindustani classical vocal music. Each year since 2005, students have been performing in annual school recitals. Several of these students have been selected in city or school district choirs. Some students have established performing Karaōke bands of their own, others have earned higher level certifications in Hindustani classical singing, while yet others continue to pursue the art as a hobby without limits of language, race or religion. Students have performed on local radio stations such as FunAsia, sung bhajans in Shri Ram Mandir on special occasions, participated and won trophies in competitions, such as Divine Spark & Vibha, and have initiated the Dallas Hasya Kavi Sammelans for several years.
