Four Points by Sheraton Minneapolis Airport

Room was very small. Only enough room for one person to squeeze between desk and beds. No refrigerator unless you’d like to rent for ten dollars a day! Bad lighting. Stains on the bed spread. Not worth the money especially being a sheraton!

Price was so reasonable it was a gamble. Loved it when I saw the rooms. Somewhat recently updated and clean. Showers were wonderful and beds were comfortable. Nice variety of cable channels. Nice restaurant and bar on site with room service until 11. In a nice neighborhood next to a car dealership. Check in was fast and courteous and informative. Best part was the workout facilities. Nice updated variety of equipment and headphones if u forgot them. TV in there that u can tune to your favorite show. Minimal noise through the rooms. Has pool. Will definitely stay there again. Free bottled water for spg members.

I have to say, I was highly impressed! I’ve stayed at a couple of Sheraton hotels in the past and was not pleased, however, the four points in Minneapolis most definitely has made me reconsider staying at their chain. The staff is extremely friendly from calling for shuttle pick from the airport and to, dining at the hotel, dinner recommendations in the area, and checkout. The lobby, rooms, gym, bar and dinning area are very nice and well kept. This is my go to hotel in Minneapolis the time I’m in town.

Short Version:
This is a gorgeous hotel with amenities that are going to impress with their quality. The rooms are a bit small, customer service is a bit lacking, and there aren’t a ton of free amenities, but it’s still a good, clean, and safe-​feeling place to stay.
Long Version:
The Four Points is located RIGHT within Richfield city boundaries. As-​in, the sign to welcome you to Richfield is basically located on the hotel’s front lawn. This means that this hotel is still located pretty close to the Mall of America and Bloomington without the premium you’d pay to stay near those place. It’s across the street from the Shops on Lyndale as well as a Chipotle restaurant. Nice, safe-​feeling area with a decently-​large parking lot.
Hotel itself is impressive when you walk in. There’s a bar area and a restaurant area. There’s a large lobby area with comfortable seating, and further in, you’ll find the smaller-​ish (not a huge or impressive) pool and a business area (that looks gorgeous with computers and a flat-​screen, huge TV). Small area with a computer to print out boarding passes as well as a real-​time list of flights going out of the nearby MSP airport.
Waiting to check-​in was aggravating. There were three employees near the front desk doing various tasks, and a computer issue with the guest in front of me meant I was waiting over 10 minutes standing in line with my luggage in hand. Nobody welcomed me or asked me to step to the second computer in order to check-​in. Instead, I just stood there without any acknowledgment. I’m not insanely picky, but I really was on a time crunch, and this wait without any acknowledgement was frustrating.
Employee was efficient when I finally did get to check-​in. Check-​out was just as efficient.
The single-​King bed room I stayed in was pretty small, but it got the point across. You could stretch out and touch the opposing wall while still touching the bed (you had to try really hard, though). Gorgeous-​looking room, though, with everything you need. For a single person or couple on business, it had everything you’d need as long as you stretching out with tons of room wasn’t on your list of things to do.
Room was very clean when I checked in. No mess anywhere or anything I wanted to complain about. AC was entirely functional — as was the TV. Bed was made and spotless. Comfortable mattress with enough towels to last me just fine for an evening. Desk with a small charging outlet located on the top that was perfect for charging a cell phone. A single lounging-​ish chair. Good nightstands. Just the usual fare for a room. Sinks were located IN the bathroom instead of outside of it (which I consider a good thing)
My only design complaint in the room was that the toilet paper was awkwardly placed in the bathroom. As-​in, the toilet paper holder was actually located outside of my range of movement, so I actually had to remove it from the holder and keep it on the sink. This seems like a very clear oversight.
Free Wi-​Fi. You’ll get the password when you check in.
No free breakfast. Offers room service breakfast at decent prices ($ 7 – 10 a meal) until 10AM.
Decent little hotel. For what I paid (less than $ 100 for the evening), I would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Looks beautiful, doesn’t feel unsafe or unclean, and was comfortable.

Recently stayed at the Sheraton before my flight out. Perfect location near the airport and the Mall Of America. Standard room with standard amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue was limited counter space in the bathroom. Overall good location and reasonable price.

Loved the hotel. Stayed here last week with my daughter and everything was great. Free shuttle to airport and MOA 24hrs a day. Free WiFi and great size room. Truly enjoyed my stay, only downfall was that the Wi-​Fi was in and out.

The only SPG hotel in the area that offers both a shuttle to the airport and a shuttle to MOA 24 hours a day — sign me up!
Being a mere 6 miles away from the airport, this hotel was our first pick on our first visit to the state of hockey. We were in town for the Blues/​Wild game, as well as MOA, and this location fit every one of our needs.
The staff was super friendly from the moment I called them for a airport pickup to the time we were dropped back off 2 days later. We were upgraded to a bigger room just because we were SPG members, and I love little perks like that. The rooms were your basic hotel room adorned by the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed and pillows which made you not want to wake up the next morning.
The lobby had a restaurant and a bar that you could eat various meals at and get happy hour deals. There was an area devoted only to airport check-​ins, and had a scrolling screen of all the departures that were taking place so you could double check your times. 24 hours a day the lobby area had 3 types of water, coffee and teas ready for you.
Their complimentary wifi wasn’t working, which is why I’m doing 4 stars. Others were having the same issues and it seems that it wasn’t something that could be fixed that weekend. Luckily they had a computer area with desktops and a printer that we could access what we needed whenever we needed it. This area also was home to a collection of tvs that could be turned to whatever station you wanted throughout the day.
If you’re looking for a great place to stay in this area, for sure look into the Four Points.

My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend (two nights). The girl who helped us checked in wasn’t overtly friendly, but not rude by any means. As far as the room– the walls were SO thin, we could hear our neighbors’ full conversations and if and when they went to the bathroom. At times it sounded like they were in our room. The rooms were clean, for the most part, but on the first night I noticed that the bed smelled like urine. The sheets were clean so we ignored it. When we were cleaning up the room before packing up, I was looking for a missing earring so I pulled the sheets back and saw that the mattress cover was full of dried urine and so was the mattress! We were so disgusted! I went to the front desk and explained the situation and the lady I spoke with was very apologetic. She said she was sorry for our experience and that unfortunately they don’t know about these things until the guests tell them. She offered us breakfast coupons and then we went to use them… and they had already stopped serving breakfast! Huge disappointment!

Very nice. Clean up to date. Hot breakfast buffet or from menu. Free wifi. Nice workout room.
Could use pay tv channels like movies
Also one drawback that I didn’t give it a fifth star for is. Very thin walls… Fortunately all the sounds we heard were doors closing.
Wifi was pretty good 3 Mbps download speed 1 upload. Fast enough to stream videos easily from Netflix and Amazon.

I booked 4 rooms with double beds here for a family trip with my wife’s family. I had difficulties booking 4 rooms under one reservation or name, so the receptionist that I worked with booked three rooms under my name and one room under my sister-in-law’s name. After about 30 minutes of working out those details… I was still given one «reservation» number for the four rooms, which I found odd since I was told this was not possible.
Upon driving up to the hotel, the outside entrance was a little tight and the personal parking lot was not as generous as other hotels that I have stayed at. As I walked past the electric double doors and into the lobby, I proceeded to check in with the ladies at the front desk. The staff was very nice, but had difficulties with my reservation… after about 15 minutes they were able to find three rooms under my name, but was not able to check in the 4^th room since it was under a different reservation name. Once that was sorted out, there was also the upfront $ 120 fee per room for any possible «damages» that could occur to the rooms. The rooms were already close to $ 100 a night and with the additional $ 120, I was paying close to $ 880 for a one night stay… Of course my credit card took swift care of that, but it would have been nice to know about this little caveat since it unfortunately turned our weekend sour…
Once we were checked in, with only two keys per room… we headed up to the 4^th floor. Upon walking into my room… the room was a very modern design. The typical hallway lead to a window overlooking the hotel’s pebble root top. A 42″ flat screen TV sat on a stand next to a writing desk. To my right were two double beds and to my left was the bathroom. There were no microwaves or mini-​fridges in neither of the 4 rooms and the bottle of water in each room was free, but not replenished if drank.
The bathroom did not have a tub, but a walk in shower. The toilet seems to not have enough power and the handle had to be held down for each flush. The towels were offered pretty generously though.
As for the rest of the room, it was fitted with dark brown furniture and the beds also had dark brown sheets. The room did not have enough outlets however, but I did have a power strip since this was a typical issue I’ve found with most hotels.
Other than the check in problems and the «hidden» fees… the free* WiFi was disappointing. The download clocked in at ~1.5 Mbps and the upload didn’t even make the 1 Mbps mark. This made it very difficult to stream anything on the iPads for the kids.
Over all, I have been to better hotels. The drama with the reservations, upfront «damage» fee/​credit, slow internet, and limited amenities would make me not consider this hotel for future stays. Don’t get me wrong, the ladies at the front desk were dolls, but as for everything else… I would not consider coming back here.

Currently on business and staying here. We have three rooms for ten days. I stay in about 3 – 4 hotels a week. Some are noteworthy in good and bad ways. This hotel happens to be on my «good» list.
Very friendly staff. Clean and beautiful rooms. Gorgeous downstairs lobby with many office features and entertainment rooms. Comfy beds. Free wi-​fi. Free parking. Shuttle service. Pantry with late night munchies.
I could keep going. …
All in all I am extremely pleased at the quality and caliber of the hotel comparative to the price. We will definitely be staying here again!

My boyfriend and I only stayed here for one night but had a good experience. The room was clean and a decent size. The bathroom was a little small but they made it work with the limited space. The bed was very comfy and the hotel was quiet.
The service was great. It was sold out that night and after returning late we came back to a completely full lot. I went inside to ask where else we could park and the woman working behind the desk offered to move her car so we’d have a spot. That was very nice of her and we really appreciated that!
We didn’t use the pool but it looked pretty good.
If you’re looking for something affordable but want something that’s way better than a Motel 6, check this place out.

The boyfriend and I loved this hotel! We usually stay at Fairfield but tried this place out because it was cheaper. Convenient/​accessible to highways, stores and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and heard no noise from outside of our room. The linens, sheets, towels and everything was clean. Room was odorless. Everything about this hotel is cute and definitely worth a try if you’re trying to get away on a budget and stay fairly close to home.
The only thing that I wish they had is complimentary breakfast! :(
But, we will be staying again!

The hotel has recently remodeled and the lobby/​bar looks great. The hotel is doing it’s best to cater to business travelers and it’s appreciated. The workout facility has improved as well. Will be coming back.

although the shuttle is slow, the service and people are great. the place is clean and feels like a house more than a hotel. the room is clean and comfortable. the gym was decent and the pool was warm.
i had a few hours to kill in the morning and the reception area opened a baord room for us to use which was awesome

Ended up with this hotel through Hotwire for $ 65 a night. I was very pleased with what I got for the price. Rooms were clean and well designed. Bed was really comfy!
This hotel also offered a shuttle service to and from the airport which was great!

I am about 3 seconds away from booking a flight back to Minneapolis just to bitch out every single person working here.
I stayed an entire week at this location just two weeks ago. I stayed in two rooms because I decided to cancel with another nearby hotel just to make things easier for myself, and just because I have had good experiences here prior to this stay. When I booked the second room, I was told that both rooms would be the same rate — I was also told this when I double checked upon my arrival to the hotel, when I checked out of the first room, and when I checked into the second room. I ASKED THREE TIMES and THEY CONFIRMED THREE TIMES.
Well, guess, what? I have a bill for one room in the high 200s and another in the mid 300s. Why? Well, I don’t know, and neither do any of the FOUR people I have spoken to. I’ve been told by each of them that it was odd that two pre-​booked rooms would be charged differently, but nobody has been willing to correct this and send me new receipts. One Manager, Jacob, said he would find someone to fix this and call me back — he hasn’t called back, and everyone I have talked to since then has said that he would be the one to fix this. I have also been trying to get a hold of Adam, another Manager, who — despite all the post-​its Kelly the Receptionist has been leaving him notifying him of my calls — takes long lunches and puts me straight through to voicemail.
What pieces of shit — if you did something wrong, fix it. No Goods — that’s what they are.
*Everything is now sorted. It took several calls back to them and a heated argument with a Tommy there, but ultimately, he was the one who fixed all of this and sent updated receipts.

Indoor pool is closed. Exercise room is a joke, think hotel fitness room circa 1990. As a Platinum Starwood member, they knew my status every time I made a reservation and called the desk for an upgrade, yet the staff continually refused to upgrade me until I literally called them out on it the third or fourth stay. So (of course) they upgraded me when caught red-​handed holding Club rooms for revenue until the last possible minute. Way to treat your best customers, morons.
Fortunately, by then I was pretty much onto their games and am done with Four Points Sheraton Airport. Now I stay 8 – 10 days a month at the Bloomington Hilton and frankly could not be happier by dumping this non customer-​centric 4 Points.
Pros: Clean rooms, nice showers with a mod look and quality built, great water pressure too. Breakfast is very good, made to order at the buffet line. Convenient to airport.
Cons: Sits right on I-​494 so sleep can be an issue if you’re a light sleeper, and it just doesn’t feel «homey» when you’re there. Not a blade of grass in sight, it feels and actually is very urban. Concrete jungle… This hotel teeters between 2 & 3 stars, and with the pool issue and terribly small exercise room, it’s a deuce.
Summary: I definitely made a good permanent upgrade to Bloomington Hilton.
Shame on your hotel, when you screw over your Gold or Platinum members, that’s how you lose your right to fly the Starwood flag under Four Points. I cannot imagine ever going back with all the other choices available for 150 bucks a night.

I booked this room via Hotwire. When I booked it last month, the confirmation email said that the pool would be out of service in May. No big deal, as my trip wasn’t until June. The renovations must be taking longer than normal as it was still non-​functional this month. When they asked at the desk if I knew this, I said no. The response was non-​pleasing; nothing was offered to make up for this. The pool construction gave off the interesting combination of a taco bar and body odor.
We slept in late on our first day there and missed housekeeping. We asked for some towels to be brought up so we could shower before going out for the evening. The front desk said they would send them up, but they never arrived.
This is a minor gripe, but the toilet paper dispenser is placed awkwardly at the bottom of the sink and is difficult to access from the toilet.
The television did not work for the majority of my stay – only a limited amount of channels did.
I ate the breakfast buffet the first morning of my stay. Since I had one of their «frequent visitor» cards, I got half off and was charged $ 7.50. Full price was $ 15.00. Many people seemed to have vouchers for free breakfast; I have no idea how they acquired them. The buffet was a joke. They had some limp bacon, scrambled eggs that looked congealed, sausage, biscuits, and a lukewarm gravy. Pancakes and french toast were offered, but I didn’t sample those. The only highlight to the buffet was the omelet station. However, the buffet spread (not much in the way of fruit, limited beverage options) reminded me of a seedy buffet you might see in downtown Las Vegas. Not worth $ 7.50 and definitely not worth $ 15.
I would avoid this hotel and find another place to stay.

They serve dinner and breakfast, but its a super small kitchen and not alot of variety/​choices. The wait staff was very nice. The food was… eh.
I liked the mini-​bathrooms and the shampoo/​conditioner/​soap dispensers in the glass floor to ceiling shower.
They also have other bath products and real hairdryers.
They don’t have AMC in the guest rooms! boo! watched Walking Dead in the dining room instead, I hope the other diners didn’t mind, lol
