I have no idea why people post such horrible reviews for this place!
I am new to the area and did a quick search for a place to do laundry. I came across Uptown and was very skeptical about going in based on reviews. With a lack of options I gave it a shot and was overwhelmingly pleased with the service. The gentleman told us it was a family owned business and was incredibly helpful and kind. It was clean and fresh inside and the machines are in great condition. The prices are great and the speed in which the machines work is phenomenal!
Don’t let all the negative reviews sway you. This is an excellent location! While you’re there check out the memorabilia adorning the walls is fascinating the history of the place!

‘Couldn’t get the dog smell out’ — Thought this was what they did. Also made me go get cash or come back later cause the owner was using the phone. Very frustrating experience.

This is a great family owned business. I was very pleased with the service and the quality they treated my garments. More importantly my wife’s garments.
So they get an A+ for quality.

My bill seemed to be a few dollars less than other places I go. I spoke to the owner and he explained if I pay at drop off then I get $ 1 off each garment. WOW! That could translate to almost 25% off. Even after they were lower than most they make it a no brainier.
So they get an A+ for price.
Quality service at a reduced price. That’s an A+ in value!

I’ve never used the dry-​cleaning service, but was very happy with the cost and efficiency o f the washer/​dryers. Used a couple of their biggest washers & dryers to wash a white rug and white feather bed (cat puke) and was pleasantly surprised at how they came out. All for $ 13.
Soda machine with cans for…$ 0.50 I think. Lots and lots of washers & dryers — can’t imagine they’re ever full and you have to wait. Very helpful friendly staff!

Our washing machine recently gave up the ghost and since we’re moving, we’re debating on whether to get a new one here, or get one in Alabama. But laundry is like «the show». It must go on, otherwise no one would want to be around me. So we trundled here because it was near some other errands.
First impressions: The place was so stuffy! It felt pretty miserable and I don’t think I could stand staying in there for more than 30 minutes. The dim lighting didn’t help much either. However, the attendant was super helpful and friendly, explaining to us «laundry one-​percenters» how the 99% does their laundry. All the machines seemed to be up to date, relatively quick and in working order. Yep, the rest was just a simple waiting game with no issues at all… except for the cops. Yes, two of Richland’s finest paid the laundromat a visit over an «altercation» that took place before we had ever arrived. It all worked out because, thankfully, we weren’t involved. 20 minutes and $ 3.00 later, our laundry was clean and we took it back to our «off shore» dryer, because we laundry one-​percenters aren’t going to pay our «fair share» of dryer fee’s.

I came here to get a Pendleton blanket dry cleaned. Cost me $ 26 (ouch!) but it wasn’t even ready on time. They said it would be ready Wednesday, but when I came Thursday, they said it wasn’t there yet.
I will say that the blanket doesn’t smell like nasty dry cleaning solutions like some have in the past with other dry cleaners, so I am pretty happy with the actual job. But it doesn’t seem like they did it in house anyway, so not sure if that’s their job to claim as one well done.
I’ve never dry cleaned clothes, however, so I’m not sure how it is with that.

I generally don’t need to get many garments dry cleaned, but after a recent thrift store splurge & some break dancing in dress pants at a wedding I was in need of garment-​cleaning assistance.
I dropped off a couple of scarfs, a cashmere sweater, and some suit dress pants off for cleaning. Each item cost $ 4 to clean (Yeah, I probably should have just lived with the scarves how they were, oh well), and they were finished within two work days.
