We specialize in one-​day turnkey service where we remove old tops and install new custom stone tops plus plumbing and electrical all in one day! Do you have granite or marble tops that need re-​sealing or repair? Our Repair Division can handle re-​sealing, chip and seam repairs, tune-​ups, tear out and re-​installation for water and fire damage repairs, modifications for appliances, etc.

History

Established in 2000.

Artistic Stone Design was started in the year 2000 because there was a definite need in the Richmond, Va market for quality natural stone and quartz fabricators. We have survived in this market because we not only offer exceptional service, we also try to anticipate the needs of our market and act accordingly. When so many of our competitors were failing and going out of business in hard economic times, we started a repair service to try and help people left high and dry by their old companies. We were here in 2000 and we are still here in 2012. We will still be here in the years to come.

Business Owner

Jon Rathke grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. His career path started with John Deere where he was an Area Service Manager, working with dealers in North Carolina & Virginia. Tiring of the travel schedule and time away from his family he became a Finance Specialist for Henry Schein, the world’s largest distributor of dental supplies and equipment for dentists. In 2002 Jon had the opportunity to join Artistic Stone Design, a stone fabricator in Richmond, Virginia. In 2010 he purchased the company.
