Ashtanga Yoga Richmond

I started at Ashtanga Yoga in Carytown a few months ago and I love it. Before joining, I did yoga at Golds Gym and felt like I wasn’t getting as much out of it as I could. I started at Ashtanga Yoga with the Intro to Mysore package, which comes with a workshop and unlimited Mysore classes for a month. Mysore was intimidating at first but after the intro I was hooked because you learn Ashtanga yoga at your own pace, which is how yoga is traditionally taught. You don’t need any prior experience to join. The instructors are all excellent and very welcoming. After a few months of practice, I am surprised at how strong and flexible I’ve become. I’ve definitely surpassed what I thought I was capable of, but I know there is so much more for me to learn. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or not, I highly recommend trying Ashtanga Yoga.

I went to 5 or 6 yoga classes here and really enjoyed them. Its a unique facility, original hardwood floors and the studio looks out over Carytown. All the instructors I had here were fantastic. All around, an awesome studio. The reason I stopped going is because I found a different studio with a better student discount.
