Great subs! Had these at the office for a work lunch and all of my co-workers loved them! The Italian was my favorite. A must try!

Excellent pizza! Nothing else to say really. Grinders aren’t bad either. My favorite pizza in Richmond.

Christmas lunch with coworkers, sharing a large meat-lovers pizza. Oh Boy! Real bacon, bits of sausage, and lots of pepperoni; Cheesy with just the right amount of sauce. I Like the way they slice in squares. Easy to handle. All enjoyed their orders: grilled chicken salad; HUGE. I’d guess 4 cups of ingredient. Side salad was about 2 cups in volume. I had the boneless hit wings– moist & Tasty! I like the atmosphere. You order/pay at counter and get your own soda. Attendant brings your order to table. You can socialize as long as you need & you take your plate & flatware to trash area. Easy peasy. Good for eating single or a group.

2 words come to mind when I think of Bellacino’s: Salt. City. My parents love to order takeout from here. I’d say we eat it at least once(sometimes twice) a month. Granted, I’m happy that they want to support this local business, but it’s just not my favorite. Everything to me tastes incredibly salty. Now, keep in mind that I’m not your typical American. I typically don’t prefer salty foods and never add additional salt to anything, so take that into consideration when reading this review. We usually order the club grinder or the meat lovers pizza. I’ll tell you I like the grinder much better than the pizza. Not that the pizza is disgusting by any means, I just think that there are much better places in RVA to satisfy that tomato sauce and cheese craving. Everything about the grinder is great, but if it were just a hint less salty, it would be even better. I would recommend Bellacino’s to anyone who isn’t a salt sensitive, health conscious local.

This place was rather far from my home and well take out might not have been my best choice but regardless the pizza and grinder we chose we really good. I mean the other reviews sung high praise and it rang true. The staff was friendly and even joking with me as a first time customer which I enjoyed and the food and will next time definitely eat in… I can’t wait to come back and try another grinder and pizza(with company of course)

Possibly the best delivery pizza I’ve had in Richmond! It was so delicious and fast and nice and hot when it got here. The wings were ok nothing spectacular but the pizza made up for it. I will definitely be ordering from here again! Yum!

It’s exactly what it is and doesn’t pretend to be anything else, a great little pizza dive. Gracious and friendly staff, great bread, tasty pizza crust and shaved ice. You order at the counter, the food arrives in 60 seconds, done and quick. Perfect for my 2 year old daughter.

We ordered this for delivery @ work and it was SO good! We got an Alfredo pizza, meat lovers, and a mushroom w/green pepper pizza. Everything was piping hot when we got it. The Alfredo pizza was AHMAZING. I’m not a huge fan of white sauce pizza because they can be really rich, but this one was perfect. The chicken also had crispy/grilled skin which added a nice texture amongst the cheesy gooey-ness(is that a word? I don’t care. This pizza was THAT good!) I don’t do green peppers, so I didn’t try the green pepper and mushroom pizza, but the meat lovers was also to DIE! Every bite had sausage, ham, and pepperoni. I mean, it was a TON of toppings! Everything also had lotsa cheese which always makes me a happy girl. After we finished our lunch, I texted my boyfriend saying that we had to pick up a pizza for tonight because he HAD to try this place! Definitely will eat here again. Definitely.

Sooo good! Have gotten pizza and a grinder from here. We ordered take out from work and The Italian sandwich is top notch! And the small is a regular size, so if you have a menacing appetite go for the larger size. The pizza is execellent! Hubby and I visited for a date night and ordered 2 pizzas. Tasty crust, very cheesy and just enough sauce! Nice portion size. The hawiian pizza is very tasty. I would have never figured this place for a chain. It looks like a great spot for football on Sunday and local hangs. Check it out!

Pizza is pretty good for Virginia. Of course you can get better pizza in New York or Chicago. But if you want a good tasting pizza compared to papa johns or Pizza Hut etc. I highly recommend Bellacinos. I love their Bellacinos pride pizza and their garlic cheesy bread. Can’t knock it til you’ve tried it. I haven’t tried their grinders but I will soon. Also, beer drinkers would love the prices on their pitchers. For 5.99 you can get a whole pitcher and if you buy a large pizza the pitcher is 4.99. Not the best décor but definitely not the worst. I love the food here and recommend everyone in richmond to try it.

Really great pizza in Richmond does not exist, but having lived in Chicago for a few years I doubt anything will come close. Pizza here is «meh» and typical of the swill elsewhere in the area. Would put on par with Papa Johns or Dominos. My God people, it isn’t rocket science! Visit Chicago for a weekend and put some thought into making a good pizza.

Starving hungry one night and wanted pizza and some salad. Pizza Hut and Papa johns wouldn’t cut it so I tried this place and it was awesome. Geek salad and pepperoni with peppers and onions was great. I was a little worried about delivery time but it was well worth it. Delivery was also very fast! Great alternative to the other pizza chains

–By far the best pizza that I’ve had in my four years living in Richmond. The crust is crispy and flavorful, it is always an enjoyable experience. I’m from New Jersey, and no place that I have been to in the greater Richmond area can compare to the pizza from back home, except Bellacino’s. By far the best pizza chain I have ever been to. –The sandwiches are also delicious, and there is a very large selection of them. My favorites are the chicken bacon ranch and the cheesesteak with garlic bread. –To top it off, there are excellent deals on pitchers and beer, and the service has been excellent every time I have visited, even today in the middle of a snowstorm. –Great value, food, and service, I will be back.

Amidst all of the other chains of Dominos, Papa John’s, and Pizza Huts, there are some less well known chains. I’ve never heard of the chain(and didn’t really realize it was one until I looked it up online), so I decided to try it out. –Food: I got an 8″ personal pan pepperoni pizza. They didn’t have slices available(unlike the generic Bellacino’s menu online states), so I just settled with the smallest amount of pizza available. Given the price($ 5), it was honestly pretty good! It’s not a deep dish like other personal pans I’ve had, and the end crust was nice and crispy. I will say though(and someone else mentioned this), that they serve it on a normal plate that promotes moisture and makes the crust a bit soft around the 3rd piece. No huge offense as the end is still crispy, but it isn’t ideal. –Cost: $ 4 for a cheese personal pan and then $ 1 for additional toppings. Not bad. The regular pizzas were comparable to Papa John’s in price. –Atmosphere: They have a large sitting area with about 20 tables. The restaurant is extremely clean. The layout is a little confusing in that you walk in and walk down a long hallway, but aren’t really sure if you’re going the right way as there aren’t any indications that you are supposed to do that. There are seats on both sides of said aisle. It’s admittedly initially confusing, but comfy once you order and get situated. –Service: Once you order at the counter, they deliver your food to the table. It’s sort of a fusion between sitdown and counter ordering. It works. The staff weren’t unpleasant but weren’t all that friendly either. –Overall: I came here expecting to give it a 3. However, Bellacino’s actually holds it’s own or is even better than the general subpar pizza in the West End. It’s not excellent pizza. It is however a pretty decent pizza in a clean and spacious restaurant. Perhaps I’ll change my mind later, but I was a fan and am going with a 4. I’d choose here over Papa John’s or Dominos, so in terms of how well it fares against chains, I’d favor Bellacinos. Of course, nothing like good old fashioned pizzerias, but pizza beggars can’t always be pizza choosers.

Meh, I have had better. I finally when here for the first time. When you walk in, it is hard to figure out what to do as there is no hostess or menu on the wall or visible so you know if you are supposed to be seated or walk to the counter. I walked to the counter and finally found the menu which when looking at the counter you have to turn around to find it… I ordered an 8 inch and baked fries(sounded interesting) as this was definitely enough for two people at lunch. When my food was ready, they lady forgot about us and walked right by us with our food. She asked everyone else in the place if it was theirs before finally coming to us and we sat right at the kitchen door so imagine how much time is took and how aggravating it is… Food wise, the fries were horrible. They are baked but not home made, what they are doing is taking frozen store bought fries and putting it in the pizza oven. These types of fries should never be cooked like that and they only do that to save money on a deep frier. What they should do is learn to actually bake fresh fries which would save them more money and give the customer a better experience. The Pizza is server on a regular plate which is bad as heat gets trapped between the plate and pizza causing a lot of moisture which in turn causes the pizza to be very soggy… With that said, the toppings taste like what you get from Pizza Hut with one main difference, which is that they do not skimp on the toppings and this made the pizza pretty tasty even with the soggy crust. The crust that was not soggy was pretty good. Would I go back, maybe, but I would try a larger size pizza and see if it has the same soggy crust issue.

I really like this place. Their grinders are awesome, the best is the Chicago grinder(steak and cheese on garlic bread!) And the italian. The light menu is also very good. They have fat free cheese and fat free mayo — but you cant tell the difference, it tastes like a guilty pleasure anyway. If I recall correctly the veggie light is 12 Weight Watcher points, if anyone cares! I thought their pizza was just okay, but the chicken and greek salads are good. Go for the grinder, I tell you! And have a Coke Zero to wash it down. ;)

This place primarily sells pizza and grinders(oven baked sandwiches). You walk up to the counter, order your pizza/grinder/whatever and fill your own drinks to the left. Pick your own tale and your food is brought to you. After you’re finished, you take your plates to the trash cans and put your silverware in the container, trash in the bin, and tray on top. They stress that their sandwiches are not toasted(«toasted schmoasted… we’re oven baked») and offer a variety of them: italian, steak, tuna, stromboli, etc. etc.) Haven’t tried one myself, but I saw plenty of people order, and finish, them. The pizza is served in three sizes, with pictures of each above the counter you order from so you can best estimate your(or your groups) hunger. The crust isn’t thin, but it’s not deep dish. I liked that it wasn’t overly greasy(like pizza hut) but it was crunchy and held up the toppings. Speaking of toppings, I wouldn’t call them«piled high», but there were plenty on the pizza. It was some good pizza, that day it really hit the spot– and I’m not a huge fan of pizza. Plenty of seating– with some elevated tables. There’s also a TV in one corner. Staff was courteous, but not super friendly. Decent atmosphere, and not dirty– but I went on a slow Sunday, I can’t speak for when the place gets busy.
