Best Bully Sticks

Now that they are on Amazon I don’t go to their warehouse location much anymore. It was pretty confusing to find the place to pick up your stuff when I went there last time. Anyway, look for a business office and they will have your orders lined up with your name on it. When lost, warehouse employees will help you get there anyway. Before they got in Amazon, there used to be a ton of pick up orders.
Their bully sticks (most of their items, for that matter) are 30−50% cheaper than what you pay at Petsmart. We also like buying other weird (?) treats for our dogs. Cow/​Lamb ears, hooves, trachea, chicken jerky discs, chicken /​duck feet, etc. My dogs’ favorite has been their knotted kinds as they can hold on more easily. We didn’t think it was in bad quality or any different from pet shop brands, like Merrick or Red Barn. Amazon stuff can be ginormous in quantity, so I still use the website to order smaller quantities first. They are slowly working through cow ears that are bigger than my dog’s head. Slooooowly…

At first I really liked Best Bully Sticks and believed they offered a quality product. However, quality control seems to be lacking both in terms of size and also quantity. Yes, you have to count to make sure you have received the amount you ordered! Several other reviewers have also commented on how the quality has gone down and is inconsistent, as well as how they have been «shorted» on orders. I ordered 100 bully sticks and I think 2 were missing and two were about 2″ long, not 6″. I certainly felt shortchanged, and I’d be surprised if orders ever give too much to the customer — probably it only works in BBS’s favor. Customer service seems to only repeat that the product is how it should be and if you return it at your own expense they will refund unopened product.
I have ordered 300 – 400 of the 6″ standard odor free bully sticks. My dog loved them at first, but won’t touch the last order of 100 bully sticks. These babies cost around $ 150 total, down the drain. These bully sticks were noticeably much thinner than the ones I had received before. They also looked more dry. I called customer service, thinking that I had been sent thin as opposed to the standard size. I was told that standard bully stick should be about as thick as a pencil! That does not jive with the size guide on BBS’s website. «Customer Service» asked me to send a photo — which I thought would easily prove my point — but they simply insisted that I had received the correct size (again, much thinner than the hundreds I had ordered before.)
My dog used to eat these bully sticks enthusiastically but now he won’t touch them. There are a few that have been sitting in his toy bin — untouched — for a while. He’s still excited about bully sticks from other companies, so there is clearly something about the batch I received that he doesn’t like.
Best Bully Sticks had the chance to retain me as a customer, but they chose not to — it’s the last time I’ll pay the $ 150+ for something that is worthless.

I have a pup that chews sticks every day & Best Bully Sticks is my best supplier. I usually get the braided 12″ sticks because they last longer. I’ve been very pleased with every order I have placed. So, FIVE STARS for THE BEST BULLY STICKS!

okay… so the next day BBS responded to my email and sent me a bag of ear variety right away. it’s funny that someone on Unilocal complained about BBS refunded money without offering to send the missing pieces so BBS made their improvements and now they would gladly pay for shipping and mail you the missing items right away. in reality I would prefer getting the refund but oh well, I guess BBS used all their human resource in preparing those yummy bully sticks rather than handling client issues, which I guess I am okay with. Updated my review. Will buy again.

They advertised the extra large moose antler as being something that would last a long time. $ 20 with shipping. It lasted 2 hours with my average sized silver lab. The 100% satisfaction guarantee they advertise on the web site was a joke. They really didn’t offer a solution but did offer 15% off my next order. lol What a joke.

We were sitting on the couch and our Jack Russell jumped up with her first Bully Stick out of the bag and she started chewing it.
I smelled a faint noxious odor that kept getting stronger.
My wife asked what the odor was, she thought our puppy had taken a dump on the couch. I looked around and finally took the Bully stick from the dog and smelled it. The smell almost knocked me over.
I went to the bag and took a whiff of the sticks in the bag and no doubt the dog poo/​horse manure smell was wafting out of the bag also. We previously ordered the larger Bully Sticks from you and thought these would be the same product just smaller.
Bully Sticks shows only RAVE REVIEWS, that’s because they control anyone attempting to review their product. Bad review, you don’t get listed.
WE HAVE TO SPEND OUR MONEY TO SEND THESE HORSE MANURE STICKS BACK.

1. The Order: I placed my first order for $ 165.77 and received the items in a timely manner (hence the 1 stars) but I guess everyone is nice when you are giving them business$.
2. The dogs have spoken: One of the items was a 50 pack of «Best Bully sticks» brand 12″ bully sticks for $ 118. I have 2 large dogs and both refused to eat them — surprising for me as they have always LOVED bully sticks and are not picky eaters. After 3 attempts I figured something is not quite right with the product and called the company. Poor product quality.
3. Poor Customer Service and Return Policy: The return policy and customer service is why they lost a dog loving client today. I found it amusing that they would accept the return (no shipping label can be provided for convenience) but would charge me for the 6 nearly new sticks. I was informed that if they did not do that people would return the 50 packs after giving their dogs 40 and get a full refund!
This raises a few questions in my mind:
1. They do not stand behind their products
2. Their products get returned regularly so they nickel and dime the clients.
3. I was a first time customer with no history of a return — so they don’t really care about retaining even new clients
4. When a company is so suspicious of their clients motives — I don’t trust them!
and my dogs don’t like their bully sticks!

Well, here I am again… complaining about the size inconsistencies. If these sticks are sorted according to their «end» diameter, then they were sorted by someone with a sight problem. No way were the ends of my «thick» sticks consistent in size.
I typically buy the «thick» size and on my last order my «thick» bullies came in (2) blue prepackaged bags. I was VERY disappointed in the how many sticks were obviously «thin» and not «thick» bully sticks. My GSD ate the «thinner than thick» sticks in 10
minutes or less depending on how assertive he was feeling.
I stopped buying the Jumbo sticks because they looked too similar to the «thicks» and therefore I could no longer justify spending the extra money. I have complained to BBS and have been told that these are natural products that can vary in size. This is true, but the sticks are suppose to be sorted according to size which should keep them consistent in appearance.
So, I paid for «thicks» and did not actually get what I paid for. This is not a good buy because I would have spent much less had I ordered «thin» or even «standard» size sticks. I don’t want something for nothing… I just want to receive what I order.
And BBS please don’t attempt to respond to my post with anymore excuses about how your sticks are sorted. I can certainly tell the difference between end diameter sizes and can assure you that BBS needs to improve their sorting methods. The current methods are ripping consumers off.

I was shocked to see all of the less than awesome reviews here! I’ve been ordering from Best Bully Sticks for years now and have never been anything less than 100% satisfied! I usually order the regular bully sticks, but I’ve also gotten bladder sticks, lung treats, sardine treats, and some other things. The dogs love all of them and it’s a nice treat to give them on these 100+ degree days when they can’t get out of the house as much. And with all the recall issues in recent years, I trust BBS to deliver a safe product. I have had the orders shipped and I have picked up at their warehouse and I’ve always gotten awesome service.

I have never been to the bricks-​and-​mortar location but I order from the web site ALL THE TIME.
I regularly order bully sticks and dried duck feet for my two dachshunds, both of whom have pirahanna-​like teeth and pretty much rip any toy to shreds in seconds. I have ordered other treats on occasion too, like the dried lamb lungs, too. My dogs love everything! I like their offerings are all natural with nothing made in China.

I was so excited to order these sticks, hoping to keep our day care dogs and our boarders happily engaged for long stretches of time. For the $ 100 I spent, I could have bought many longer-​lasting toys. So disappointed. And broke. Plus, now I read that 27% of Bully Sticks tested in the US are contaminated with E. Coli.

I want them to be awesome but they are not.
I got a few good shipments, but they were progressively getting worse and worse quality. My last order which cost over $ 130 was the worst selection of bully sticks I could ever imagine. they were clearly «THIN» not Jumbo which is what I ordered. I took pictures and everything to make my case… they refused to admit that they were thin said that maybe they were «thick» and gave me back 30 bucks after a week of arguing. I definitely deserved at least $ 50 back.
I AM NEVER ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN. there are other online providers that have better prices… im going to try All Natural Bully Sticks and see if they are any good.

I’ve been buying from them for a full year now. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about, that hasn’t been my experience. Their odor free bully sticks are awesome and you save a bot load by purchasing in bags of 25 or 50. Really couldn’t tell you about customer service since it’s all done online. There was one time they accidentally sent a bag of cow ears that was missing 3. I sent an email with a picture of the opened bag. They credited the amount of the missing ears that day.

Be aware that Best Bully only posts favorable reviews on their website so you won’t see any that are less than stellar.
Their quality is not what it used to be. I have placed 8 – 10 orders with Best Bully Sticks. I was happy at first with the quality and although I felt I was spending a lot of money on my dog, they did last quite a while. I always purchase the bigger 12 inch bullies. and more recently the braided monster bully sticks which are priced at $ 10.49 per stick.
Over the past year, I have noticed a marked decline in the quality of the bully sticks. I returned the last order of my braided bully sticks because I just could not justify paying $ 10 per stick on bully sticks that have gotten smaller and smaller.
I did call and talk with customer service and sent in a picture of my sticks next to a «household item» (my computer mouse) so they could see the size. They said that I had gotten the right size stick and that the size varies from shipment to shipment.
I changed to
and spent $ 6 on bully sticks that are smaller, braided, but lasting much longer.
I think I am pretty much done with Best Bully, sadly.

I ordered the cow chips. They made my two dogs VERY SICK. I had to throw away these chips. I strongly urge you to avoid this company. My dogs were so VERY sick from this product. The company’s response was that the dogs must have sensitive stomachs. Listen– my dogs eat everything… I mean EVERYTHING… and they have never been so sick before. Please, listen to me when I tell you that their product did this to my dogs. The customer service department was also pretty awful– almost impossible to reach, and didn’t care. It’s just not worth it. AVOID!!!

Just got my first order of bully sticks from them. (2 bags of 50). Bags had couple holes in them, but I don’t see a problem. It’s being shipped and goes through who knows what, and plus, I did not order a bag, I ordered a product that’s in a bag, and it’s not damaged. I also order few more items and to my surprise i got a free gift. Nothing big, but a nice move. I will definitely order more in a future.
Now for those people who are complaining about the smell. It’s a ******* bullystick. I don’t care if it says no odor, it will have some kind of odor. Get a peace of plastic and stop complaining (Seriously, don’t attempt). Also if your dog is throwing up, has diarrhea or bad reaction, just Stop giving the product!!! And stop blaming the vendor. It does not mean that the product is bad, your pup is just sensitive to the stuff. Just because my dog is ok, does not mean yours will be also.
As for complaints about the 4 – 5 star reviews on their website. Seriously? Their doing business and making money from it. I would like to see you run business with half the comments that don’t make sense and should not be there… I’m not saying it’s go to do what their doing, but who are we to tell them how to run their business. And for those who think I work for them, I don’t. So let your dogs enjoy their treats and you, smile a bit.

Poor customer service, poor website/​order process, inconsistent quality.
I have been purchasing bully sticks from Best Bully Sticks for the past three years. My dogs love the treats; however, I find that in my purchases the bully stick thickness and quality have recently been inconsistent. Some sticks are thin and insubstantial, so I feel like I have to give one of my dogs two of the thin sticks when the other dog gets a normal stick. The company should sell the sticks by weight rather than by the number of sticks.
I recently had a bad customer service experience with the company as well. I had a recurring order with the company and was receiving shipments periodically. I placed an entirely separate order as a gift purchase for a friend in June of 2013. In July, my recurring order was also shipped to my friend’s address. When I called customer service, I was informed that I was supposed to have checked some block on the website so that my address on file for the recurring order was not changed to my friend’s address when I made her gift purchase. The customer service rep made no offer to reimburse my expense or make a corrected shipment. After ending the call, I was still dissatisfied so I wrote the company through their website explaining the situation and requesting a refund or corrected shipment. I heard no response.
It makes absolutely no sense that a separate purchase should affect the shipping address on my recurring shipment and it is counterintuitive to expect that action should have been taken on my part while making the purchase. The customer service rep implied that the fault was mine for not taking action to ensure that the additional purchase did not affect my recurring shipment. In my opinion, the issue occurred because of poor web/​order design on the company’s part. I have spent over $ 800 with the company in the past 3 years, and a simple correction of my $ 44 shipment would have helped them retain my continued business. Instead, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

This is my first review for an online shop… pretty excited to do so.

. I first heard about them on a Boston Terrier forum (I unfortunately had to give him away because i was allergic to him… — apply sad face here-​). There were numerous posts about the bully sticks vs raw hides, everyone was raving about them and from my experience, everything I read was true.
Dogs go C R A Z Y over bully sticks. I usually order the 100 count and pass them around to coworkers or friends with dogs. I have purchased about 5 bags of the 100 count bully sticks within the last few months… I guess I like to spread the love… I usually wait for a sale + free shipping. If you sign up for their newsletter, they usually send out a weekly special code.
They may seem expensive but try buying them at your local pet store. It is a guarantee that you will not find anything cheaper and of quality than you can from this site. At my local PetSmart and Petco, the sticks are about $ 3 – 4 a piece. Do the math and the online prices are about $ 1 – 2 each. Less if you find a great deal like below…
If you want your dogs to leave you alone and keep busy, this is the best thing. I have 2 small dogs (Not allergic to these) and they are kept busy for hours.
Tip: place a clamp or some kind of tool that can hold the sticks to prevent them from accidentally swallowing them whole. I’ll post a pic as a sample.
Tip 2: Right now, the 100 counts are actually on sale for $ 74… and they also have a free sample right now of the NONE SMELLY bully sticks. guess who got a bag with a free none smelly stick? This girl…

Note 2: Their customer service is excellent… I usually get a reply within the same day and all my problems are always resolved.

I have mixed feelings.
I placed my first order in August 2012, no issues. 102 bully sticks arrived as ordered (100 + 2 loose to get free shipping).
I placed my second order last week, I got 98 out of 100 of the bully sticks I ordered. Sure, fine, it happens. BUT, when I contacted CS I wasn’t given an option «ship them to you, or refund» I was only given the option of «refund.»
Now, I understand this from a business perspective:
If BBS mails it to me, it will cost them more than the profit its worth. It was a mistake that was NOT the customer’s fault, but something on their side of production/​shipping.
If they refund me — the issue would be resolved to their satisfaction, the customer paid for it and the money will be returned to them for the items they did not receive.
BUT… I ordered the items, I obviously wanted them, I would have preferred to have the OPTION of having my order fulfilled like it should have been done originally, instead of being told a refund would be my resolution.
At the end of the day, CHECK all your product. Yes, I had to count 100 bully sticks but at the end of the day, they shorted me 2 (which yes, is only $ 2.58 but that’s not the point).
This is only my second time ordering… has this happened to you? Did they offer the same resolve? Maybe they just hope they don’t get caught. Obviously an instant refund is the answer and cheaper for them than truly resolving the issue and sending the missing pieces?

As a general rule, I don’t trust any online vendor that doesn’t post customer reviews that are negative concerning any products purchased from them, while they display only the four and five star reviews of every item. That is misleading.
Also the odor free bully sticks are not really odor free. Quite stinky in comparison to other bully sticks I source from elsewhere.
Update: I use Redbarn Bully Sticks which I have found to be comparatively odorless, better liked by my dog, and which I have confirmed use neither bleach nor formaldehyde — just hot water.
