The food here is really good! Their open on Monday & Tuesdays when most places are closed and they were friendly.

The catfish was the best«carry out» I have had in the East Bay, and indeed is even better than that at a sit down joint like Angeline’s. It was fresh and fried wonderfully, though it could have used a bit more seasoning. It was also cooked to order in about 10 minutes, though I went at a time when hardly anyone else was there. The lost star is for the sides. The cole slaw was okay, but I didn’t care for the greens, and both of them came in tiny cups. I also had the banana pudding, which was okay with real slices and vanilla cookies, but nothing to write home about.

If you live in the burbs, you don’t belong here in the hood! This fish place is hands down so good. Ordered the catfish with the greens. The best fish I ever had!

So I ate banana the pudding is amazing. I have been craving it since the first time I had it. There food is consistent and the restaurant is always clean. Their prices are reasonable and I like the fried snapper.

I think the sides are a rip off. But the catfish was fried and very crispy. It was simply delicious. The prices are reasonable. Im glad this place is so close to work. Highly recommend for a quick lunch.

I have been eating here for years. I stay away from fried food for the most part but when I go in this is my first stop. a bucket of sole and snapper will feed any gathering.

Ended up here on a rare trip to Richmond with Mom and Grandma. They ordered the catfish and coleslaw, I ordered the prawns and hushpuppies. My food was delish! The hushpuppies were sooo good and my prawns were seasoned perfectly with just a hint of heat. Mom and Grandma both thought their fish could use a tad more salt but other than that they were pleased with their selection. The only downside is that service was slow. Food is cooked to order which is great, not complaining about that, but there was only one guy(owner?) working. He was the cook, cashier, everything. Eventually his wife(?) showed up and helped but it was rough for a minute. He was very nice though so I won’t hold that against him. I’m not in Richmond often but if I did find myself in the neighborhood again I would definitely eat here again.

I ordered the fried fish and my friend ordered the chicken. Don’t know what the deal was with the fried chicken but I don’t recommend it. On the other hand, the fried fish was amazing! You could tell that it was very fresh and the breaded they used was very tasty. Would definitely go back to this place for the fish. Their side dishes are alright but nothing to get excited about. Definitely don’t get their mixed greens side unless you want something equal to baby food.

The sides are small, and the food is cooked to order, so it takes awhile. This isn’t a place you’d want to have a sit-down meal in, but it is a little expensive for take-out. BUT, this is the best fried fish I’ve ever had.

From my experience 4÷28÷11, Boulevard Fish is no longer Black owned and operated. The fish dinner order has a good amount of fish, but NOFLAVOR. I rinsed my fingers off part way through the meal and faucet water had more flavor. Also, no longer is there those big tartar, ketchup & hot sauce pump containers. You get the teeny packets of those. Although I asked to be sure tartar sauce was in the bag, the counter person obviously did not comprehend/understand. Once home there were nine packets of ketchup, and only three packets of tartar sauce. I had no fries so why all the ketchup? The yams were plain. No good flavor, just almost too sweet. The cobbler was less than so — so. That was for real, my LAST time ordering fish from Boulevard! The good; ample pieces. The bad; NOFLAVOR, NOFLAVOR, NOFLAVOR, and lack of communication Even the good vibe/energy inside the place is gone!

1st Visit = Last Visit 1. «Instant Pudding» Banana Pudding, horrible for us Southern Dessert Connoisseurs. I gave mine away to my next door neighbor’s kid. 2. «Bland Fried Fish» No signature seasoning/no seasoning at all. If one needs to douse their seafood in Catsup, Tarter Sauce or Hot Sauce, PLUS wrap it in bread, then it leaves a lot to be desired. 3. «Fishy Tasting Prawns». Definitely NOT fresh! Tossed them in the trash. Lastly, no barbecue sold here! LASTLY: This is NOT a Black Owned Business!

I am a big deep fried food fanatic. This place is ok, not so great. I like eating the deep fried oysters. It oysters were real small and the batter wasn’t that great. The fries were not so good too. All that and it was pretty pricy for lunch. 18.00 bucks for 8 piece oysters and 1 can soda.

I’ve been doing good with the banana pudding and staying away, but after hearing about it again, I might have to go for another hit. my thing here is the fried prawn sandwich, so good.

3.5 This place really hit the spot. Fried fish and chicken seasoned very well. The fish tasted fresh, and it came out hot which is always a plus for me. The sides I picked(greens and yams), not blind blowing by any means but served there purpose. Would I go there again? Absolutely! The fish was awesome.

This place is SOOO good. The fish is seasoned perfectly! the greens are very tasty, the yams… to die for. They give you pretty large servings of the fish which is great and the pieces thick and hearty. Some other places give you little scrawny dried up pieces, but Boulevards holds nothing back. So yey its in Richmond, but just be sure to go during the day and if possible with another person.

«Meet me at the Boulevard.» When youre ready to get crunk, check out Boulevards. I get ghetto fabulous sometimes and I must say the Fried Oyster combo w/Shrimp is all that and a bag of chips. Youll love their desserts which include chocolate cake, caramel cake and banana pudding. This place is only for the real soul food lovers.
