I made an appointment to visit and try on dresses while I was visiting in town getting some other wedding things checked off my list. Their selection is wonderful and the staff are so friendly and able to work with you! Although I did not end up buying my dress from here, I had a wonderful experience!

This review is one of those «better late than never» sort of things since my wedding was last September. Mary and her team were so incredibly helpful in picking out, ordering, sizing, and altering my wedding dress, rehearsal dress, and all of the bridesmaids dresses. Coming down from Northern VA, the staff at Bridal Elegance did all they could to accommodate my schedule on weekends and were nothing but friendly and understanding when a traffic incident on 95 made me two hours late for my fitting.
There is not a better place to shop for a wedding dress nor a more lovely and caring staff to help with the process. I highly recommend Bridal Elegance.

I purchased my gown this time, last year. I had gone to Richmond with my parents with intent to buy a gown I had already chosen from a competitor, but on the way there my stepdad suggested we stop by this bridal shop just to look around. I tried on two dresses, and both were exquisite! Mary and her team helped me find the dress of my dreams, though it didn’t look a thing like what I had always envisioned… It was better! The entire staff was extremely friendly! They always remembered my name when I came in for fittings or to buy a bridesmaid dress for my MOH. I just got married in September and people are STILL talking about how amazing my dress looked/​fit!!! I would highly recommend this boutique to help find the dress of your dreams for your special day!

This is the place to go in RVA for wedding dresses! The staff is amazing. Every single one of them. They made me feel comfortable and confident. Many plus size options. They picked a dress for me that was unlike what i thought i wanted… and of course fell in love when i put it on. Wide variety of appointment times available.

First of all, the location of bridal elegance is awesome. The store is a great size. And the selection is awesome. I had brought in a dress from somewhere else to get altered. Mary (the owner) was fantastic. She helped me get the dress to the right length, and helped me with some design choices for the top of my dress. All of the staff was outstandingly helpful. The whole store was clean. I picked up my dress today (10÷15÷15) and it was exactly what we talked about, in terms of alterations. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Mary!!!

So far I give this bridal shop a 5! We stopped by without an appointment to look for mother of the bride dresses and what a great staff and selection of dresses. We have been too six other places and this was by far my favorite place yet. Very clean and organized store with LOTS of options. They were busy with bridal appointments, but did not hesitate to let us look, try on, and help us with dresses. My mother ended up buying her dress off the rack at a discount. They have plenty of great accessories to choose from too. Overall their prices seemed to be on the cheaper side for mother of the bride dresses; I’m not sure about actual bridal gowns. My mom will have her dress altered here a few months before the wedding. Based on the estimate, the alterations are very reasonable.

Bridal Elegance is the place to buy your wedding dress! It is fantastically priced and staffed by the most wonderful, most helpful people I’ve ever met.
Callie helped me find the perfect dress, and even suffered through me coming back 2 – 3 times to try on the same dress! I never felt rushed and no one was pushy about me buying from them.

I walked in expecting to have an awesome experience based off of their reviews from other customers and facebook page. I was very disappointed. If you are looking for the traditional, ordinary dress than this is the place to go, but if you are looking for a dress that is unique and gives you that WOW feeling than this is not the place for you.

I first visited Bridal Elegance in February 2014 in preparation for my April 2015 wedding. I expanded my wedding dress search to Richmond after not being able to find the perfect dress in the Virginia Beach area. While I had come to Bridal Elegance to look at a specific dress, Candace encouraged me to look at other dresses that caught my eye and after a few dresses, she figured out exactly what I was looking for. She actually ended up picking out the perfect dress for me. Once I tried it on, none of the other dresses could compare. To top it off, although my appointment was solely for my wedding dress, she managed to find the perfect dresses for my bridesmaids in that same appointment! Talk about making things easier for me!
The dress I bought had a very intricately detailed, beaded bodice and I knew I wanted to make some alterations to it, so I was a little bit concerned since other bridal shops said they normally wouldn’t disturb the beading detail, but when I asked Mary and Candace about it, they said it was no problem. When I got the final product, it was perfect. I got so many compliments on my dress at the wedding and the hubby absolutely loved the dress on me!
I visited Bridal Elegance a number of times after that initial appointment for my mom’s mother of the bride dress, my veil, and my dress fittings and the staff was nothing but friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating with scheduling my appointments since they knew I would be driving up from the Beach and if I had any questions, they were only a phone call away. I would definitely recommend Bridal Elegance to every bride looking for their perfect wedding dress.

To sum up Bridal Elegance in one word… AMAZING. Mary and the entire crew there have the most incredible customer service that I have ever experienced in any «buying/​retail» fashion. They not only catered to my concerns, they also worked around my tricky logistic situation. I live in Houston Texas, bought my dress with them in Richmond Virginia, and I’m getting married in California! I would recommend to all Brides and Bridesmaids to skip the big name retailers and take your business and experience to this amazing boutique shop! Their wide assortment of beautiful gowns and accessories is second to none… And their level of care, customer service, skillful alterations, and ongoing communication is what every single bride dreams of! I had three of my girlfriends get their dress at Bridal Elegance. When I got engaged there was no question where I was going. I went into Bridal Elegance and my consultant Candace was AMAZING! She was very patient, helpful and not too pushy. She certainly did not mind telling me the honest truth about how a dress looked on me. I found my dress after trying on 5 gowns. I love love LOVE it. The whole experience was memorable but not dragging. Everyone at Bridal Elegance is so sweet and helpful and they really make you feel special. Was out one Sunday afternoon with mother and a bridesmaid and had some time to kill so we decided it would be fun to try some dresses on. Every single shop in short pump was «too booked» to accommodate me except for Bridal Elegance! Callie had several appointments that day but said she had a break where she would be more than happy to show me some dresses. I am SO GLAD we ended up here! Everyone who works here is so friendly and works so hard to make sure your dress is exactly what you want it to be. My sister was so impressed with the service she returned to purchase her dress here as well! If you’re recently engaged, go check them out!

The owner of this shop is awesome! She helped us pick out a great bridesmaid dress that we all loved! She worked with all of us with trying dresses on and making sure we matched a size. She wasn’t too pushy and really expressed her opinions without all the bs. Would def. recommend. –1 for the lack of numerous dress options but this could also be a good thing.

Great experience! The women were knowledgable, PATIENT and kind. Found a gorgeous dress. The dress needed alterations, which were done perfectly. I purchased a belt to go with the dress, not realizing that the dress came with a belt. I was compensated for the price difference without any problems. So glad this is where I found my dress– I was well taken care of.

This was the first bridal store I visited when shopping for a wedding dress. I was a bit nervous and had no idea what I was really looking for. My consultant was so friendly and down to earth that I was eased immediately. She let my friends and I pick through some of the dresses and she picked some that she thought would look best on me. Most of the dresses actually fit, so I got a good idea of what it would look like. I found the «one» but had another appointment at a store down the street. We headed to the next appointment, and it didn’t even compare. We headed back that afternoon and put a deposit on the gown. It took about 6 months to come in. I just had my final fitting and everything has been great. I would definitely recommend Bridal Elegance. I think they had a wider range of prices, sizes and variety compared to my other experience.

My experience with Bridal Elegance from start to finish was wonderful. I have been in several weddings and have gone wedding dress shopping with the brides and had been in Bridal Elegance many times before and was always appreciative of their level of service. I knew when it came time for my own dress shopping, I would be visiting their shop.
I had an idea of what I wanted, but I was allowed to look around at the dresses so I’m not sure why another poster on here say they weren’t «allowed» to look at any other dresses. I picked out a few dresses, tried a few on and found «the one.»
The turnaround time on receipt and alterations worked great with my timeline and I am so pleased on the fit. Can’t wait to wear it this Saturday! Thank you Bridal Elegance :)

If you’re not ordering thru them or buying then they don’t care. And if you’re not a bride, don’t bother going in. I went to try on bridesmaid dresses and that was their sign that this customer doesn’t matter. One of the designers they carry recommended I come here to try on dresses for sizing. I walked out still not knowing what size I should order. Oh, and I was politely kicked out of the dressing room. I was still pulling up my pants when one of the ladies walks in with wedding gowns. She did ask if everything was ok but we both knew she was being fake and wanted me out of there.

My whole experience here was absolutely wonderful! Everyone was so nice and so helpful and truly seemed to care. I found the PERFECT dress which turned out not to be too expensive and they were so easy to work with throughout the process. I would 100% recommend going to Bridal Elegance!

After visiting several stores in the area I’m sure all brides-​to-​be in Richmond visit, I went to Bridal Elegance to look for a dress for my destination wedding. The ladies here were AWESOME, I can’t say enough good things about them! When I walked in I did not feel like I was getting sized up or that I was just a number to them, they were genuinely kind. The ladies let me browse at my own pace, and gave feedback only when I asked. At no point did I feel pressured by them. I actually went shopping on my own and working with them, I felt 100% confident in the gown I bought. I didn’t need other opinions.
The store has a beautiful selection of dresses within a variety of price points, I actually found mine on the sales rack!
Bridal Elegance took the stress out of picking a dress and I can’t thank the ladies enough for their help. I highly recommend any bride to be check them out!

I went to Bridal Elegance back in 2009 in search of my wedding dress. I let them know that I was on an extremely tight budget, and since I was getting married on the beach, I didn’t want anything too elaborate because I would probably end up in the water anyway. Trinh showed me a variety of dresses on clearance that were gorgeous and affordable, and even suggested that I could even order a bridesmaid’s dress in white. Brilliant.
Although I put the deposit down on the dress, I ended up finding a different one elsewhere. But their level of customer service and their willingness to work with me impressed me so much, Bridal Elegance was the one place I suggested to all my bride-​friends.
Fast foward, three years later. My best friend had gotten engaged and asked me to be her maid of honor– thus, putting me in charge of finding dresses for the entire bridal party. The first and ONLY place I thought of was of course Bridal Elegance. Unfortunately, there were several snafus along the entire planning process and I – along with the other four bridesmaids — ended up putting our dress orders in extremely late. I’m talking, six weeks before the wedding late. A HUGE no-​no when it comes bridal shops.
Happily, Mary and Lisa– determined as ever– worked with our difficult situation and managed to order our dresses anyway. They came in the week OF the wedding (like, the Tuesday before the Saturday wedding). The turnaround on alterations was extremely quick, and they looked BEAUTIFUL.
Now, I don’t recommend waiting until the very last minute to order your dresses (and I’m sure they don’t either), but this is just an example of how incredible these ladies are!
Not to mention, they are all very sweet and will work with you to get what you want!
