History

Established in 2015.

D1 Moving, LLC officially started in May of 2015 and completed over 600 moves in its first 6 months of business. The company was started by a few students from The University of Virginia who saw a desperate need for student moving. Starting with the college market the owner saw what could be accomplished and the business took off from there tapping into large residential, commercial, small residential, delivery service, and anything you can think of where someone needs something relocated. The goals for the future keep getting set higher and the company plans to double its fleet of trucks in 2016 and continue to expand.

Meet the Business Owner

Alec V.

Business Owner

Alec is a native of Richmond, VA where he grew up in the west end. After graduating high school he attended The University of Virginia. While at UVA he graduated with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a masters in Higher Education Administration. Alec also played on the Football team where he was a 3 year starter and captain his senior year. He was the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and involved in many other facets of the university. Alec has always understood what is needed to be successful and he has brought his determination, work ethic, and leadership into this business to make it thrive and become one of the best moving companies on the east coast.
