E Clips Custom Clip-On Sunglasses

I have been taking my precription eyeglasses here (for around the past 10 years) to get custom clip-​on sunglasses made in a couple hours, as a walk-​in customer. I have followed them from Richmond to Emeryville back to Richmond, right now conveniently located just down from Costco in Richmond. I drop off my glasses– following a consultation with (always) an extremely informed and customer-​savvy rep– after making my choice of lens color and hardware type. I then walk on the bay trail and go shopping at Costco and then pick up my perfectly constructed clip ons. This most recent visit, I purchased the flip-​up sunglasses and they are flawless (and practical for transitioning from indoors/​outdoors and back). I also purchased a pair of clip-​on BluTech glasses that protect my eyes from the bluelight of all my computer/​phone/​ipad screens. LOVE these. David, the owner, helped me choose these. He is very smart and entreprenuerial and fun to talk with. I cannot recommend E Clips highly enough!

I’ve had my e-​clips for a few months now and they work pretty well. The salesperson suggested I get the basic version so I ordered them and ran a few errands before picking them up a few hours later. Unfortunately, I could see the reflection of my own glasses (I have a hi-​index prescription of –5.0 diopters) so they agreed to remake them, at no charge, with the anti-​reflective lenses. I guess most people prefer the normal lenses but I am very happy with my revised pair. I would get another pair as the quality of the construction is great and they’ve earned my repeat business.

I like the e-​ciip I got for my prescription glasses. If you have glasses, they seem like a no brainer. They fit well are light, and look really cool.
They seem slightly expensive however, given that you can get full prescription glasses and frames online for less than the cost of the e-​clip itself. That said, for the utility of having sunglasses without having to buy and carry around a totally separate pair of prescription sunglasses, I think the E Clips is pretty nice.
Note– inspect your e clip often, if you ever seen any metal on the mount points, you better take them in for a service, which I believe is free. The metal can scratch your eyeglasses.
If you are local, I believe you can get them in person at their location over by Costco. They recently moved from the Richmond Marina Bay area, which I thought was a better location for them, but oh well.

After buying a pair of prescription glasses with Tom Ford frames, I didn’t want to drop another chunk of $ on prescription sun glasses to boot! I bought e clipes at the same eye glass store where I bought my glasses. They did have to send in my eye glasses with my order, and it took over a week. I never thought to look online! But I’m very, very happy with them. They’re very cool looking. You’ll be pleased!

E Clips are simply the best. I don’t have to look for my sunglasses anymore. Just reach for my e clips and clip them on my glasses. Perfect… and. they clip on so easily. Great product and best solution.

Hey these guys aren’t just local — I shipped my glasses across the country overnight, they did them the day they received them and overnighted them back — amazing amazing service! This is my 2^nd pair (got new glasses), first ones lasted forever and am considering getting another set for my OTHER glasses too! Great work!

I got my e-​Clips Filp Ups custom made in a couple of hours. I called for an appointment and drove to their company to drop off my Ray Smith glasses. I spent the two or so hours touring the Richmond Harbor and had lunch in the same area.
I received a cell call in abou 2 hours that my e-​Clips were ready. They are great, well made and the mechanism high quality. The lense is also high quality and thicker than what is sold in stores. You can chose from various lens colors and qualities.
I’ve been looking for high quality clip-​on flips for about a year and I found this company online.
I am very happy with my e-​Clips Flip Ups and I will recommend them to my friends and family. I will also be posting it on FB.
