I LOVE THIS PLACE. best tacos in Richmond! Insane happy hour specials on food and booze. Their habanero mango salsa is amazing. This is my go to place to meet friends for happy hour.

The ONLY reason this has one star is that’s the only way to review. This place SUCKS!!! I travel constantly and so must eat out a lot. This is hands down the WORST SERVICE I’ve seen. There must be something else going on there that I am missing because its certainly not food and drink. We were seated and given a large bottle of water, no glasses to pour water in. About 10 minutes later someone took our drink orders, it took 23 mins.(now I’m Timing) to get our drinks. We never received menus after asking, after our drinks were gone and we still had no service no menus, we asked for check. Nope they were to SORRY to even do that. We ended up going to the bar and after a cluster F… of confusion there we finally were able to pay and leave. Will never go back and will warn everyone I can of this disgrace of a «restaurant»!

I’ve had worst tacos and I’ve had better! En Su Boca is pretty good. The ingredients are fresh and the tacos are made to order. The chips with salsa are a great starter, the salsa is wonderful!!!
We sat outside on a lovely evening and enjoy the people watching. Definitely draws a hipster crowd. The music is very eclectic. Ranged from metal to 80s soft rock.

Went to Richmond for a couple of days and wanted to find some local fare. We googled a few places and just happened upon En Su Boca. It turned out to be surrounded by a St. Patrick’s day festival and we didn’t think we would get a seat. They had us a table in 20 minutes! We got fried fish tacos, the chorizo queso, and the wings. The food was unmentionably fresh and tasty! I have yet to find a restaurant similar and I have been craving it ever since! A must!

First off, the bartender was decent. He was quick and got my drinks right. And the drinks were decently priced. Those are the two stars i gave. Sadly thats all the good i have to say about the place. The tacos were ok, at best. Not worth their price, but i would have stayed for the drinks if it werent for the slightly larger unattractive woman who was apparently in a bad mood. She was rude and very unpleasant. She talked to me like i was a child. I am a 36 year military guy. From what i can gather, she was the boss that day. I understand it was the beginning of shamrock the block, but if you cant handle the stress you should maybe find another line of work. Customer service should be higher on her list of importance. Would not recommend to anyone who expects a comfortable atmosphere or decent service. If she is working, you’ll likely get neither.

I really, really want to like En Su Boca. Sadly, every time I eat there, I leave feeling either «meh» or totally frustrated.
We took a break for a year and re-​tried it this weekend. Perfect weather for patio seating.
Sadly, the waitstaff was totally confused, delivering all sorts of wrong things to tables. We got our food before our drinks, and then we made friends with our neighbors as we had to laugh and exchange our mis-​delivered drinks with each other.
The guacamole is good (but super pricey!), the tacos are decent (although I like Boka Taco better), but the service is just really confused. Train those folks on table numbers and the order of service!
A good spot to enjoy the sun, a drink, and some yummy guac., but don’t expect too much more.

We walked in and were promptly seated, although the patio was full so we had to sit inside. Our server didn’t approach us immediately, but it was busy so we weren’t really concerned. We should have been. We sat there for 20 minutes with servers and other staff constantly passing, but no one ever came. Finally, we gave up and I attempted to alert the hostess.
The hostess would not even look in my direction. She was focused on the long line of people coming in the door attempting to get a table, and was actively ignoring me trying to talk to her.
So anyway, we left and will never return. I’ve had the food before — it’s not bad and not great. It’s certainly not worth the line at the door or the hassle of dealing with the rude staff.

I met some friends here for drinks and a late dinner after we’d been out hiking all day. It was a slow Tuesday and we were greeted and seated immediately. En Su Boca has a great location– in the city but without the hassle of fighting for parking. Inside is spacious and clean but with some character, like you’d expect from this particular location and ownership.
The service was downright incredible. I wish I had gotten her name. She was super friendly without being fake, social without being obnoxious, actually gave us an opinion (instead of «everything is good») when we asked between a few things, was totally on top of drinks and chips and any little need– but never hovered.
I had fish tacos, which I really enjoyed and a beer from the pretty decent beer menu. The fish tacos were on point. So were the chicken tacos of one of my friends. Everything else was good, but nothing I would come back specifically for.
Five for service. Three and a half for food.

Don’t understand how this place isn’t rated higher. I eat here for takeout often and have always had a good experience. Their burritos are awesome as well. Everyone seems to be having a great time when I visit. Great atmosphere and solid food.
Disregard the snobs hating on every little thing, this place is great.

I’ve been here 4 times and I definitely want to come back for more. Chips and salsas are both excellent, though it’s a little unusual to pay for chips at a Mexican restaurant. I do wish the spiciest salsa came in a larger portion serving, though.
Drinks are great. House made cocktails are wonderful, and their margaritas are STRONG.
I’m a vegetarian, so I appreciated that there were 3 entrée options for me to choose from. I would like to see more added in the future, though. It’s also nice to see that almost all the apps are vegetarian.

This place sucks. Their menu is uninspired, they have more alcohol than they know what to do with and their kitchen staff are slow, unprofessional and overly social.
I expected to pop in for a quick lunch with my father around 1pm today. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but it looked like there was only one server for the six tables being occupied. We sat at the bar, hoping for quicker service, and that was an even bigger disaster. The bar maid, if you could even call her one, spent more time drinking and socializing with her coworkers than she did with us. It took 45 minutes for two orders of tacos! Four tacos took 45 minutes. And don’t come at me with «good food takes time» BS. I can sit down and get about 10 tacos from Don’t Look Back in half the time. Not only do they taste better, they are cheaper and offer more variety, too!
Terrible service, pretentious clientele and Pepsi products. Truly, taco hell. F

Was looking for something good for a quick lunch the place is eye catching from the street and even more so when you step inside. Not much for hipster joints for that’s exactly what this place is, only up north would you find a hipster taco place. The food and drinks came out pretty quickly. I ordered the tacos de asada and the kids had a burrito and a quesadilla, for a hipster joint the tacos were alright the kids said their food was good. If you want authentic tacos and Mexican food this isn’t the place, if your a hipster looking to impress your hipster friends by pretending to know Mexican food then by all means. On the good side the portions were huge and not insanely overpriced. Not saying this is terrible just not my cup of tea.
Although it might not be my cup of tea as far as food it definitely looks like a place where I could enjoy their delicious chips and salsa and have a couple of drinks, very laid back atmosphere.

I feel robbed every time Chipotle charges me $ 11 for a burrito and some chips. The flavor isn’t all there. But anything is better than toxic waste burritos from Taco Bell so I settled. However last week I had an urge to be drink and to set my mouth on fire with genuine Mexican food, thus I came here. For less I can get a giant burrito amongst a plethora of styles and a drink for not much more during happy hour, even then it’s all relatively cheap. My bill did not exceed $ 20 but the flavor of my food and margarita was worth more. I’ll make the return soon enough.

Always a good meal and experience at En Su Boca. Love the atmosphere and the casual, but elevated dining. Here’s a pic of the Nachos with Carnitas. I did get a Green Bloody Maria which sounded bad, but love an adventure. For me, It wasn’t my favorite, albeit a healthy measure on the Tequilla. Wont get that again, otherwise it was great as always.

I went to En Su Boca for a quick meal after work. En Su Boca has drink and food specials during happy hour. We had a 20 minute wait before being seated. I had En Su Boca fried fish tacos (special of the day during HH). En Su Boca fish tacos were tasty and flavorful in my opinion. All of the ingredients blended well together. The fish was fried to a nice crisp. I didn’t try any other food on the menu. Service was average at best. There is outside patio seating if you want to dine outside. Parking is available in a small lot. I would come back for En Su Boca for their fried fish tacos. I give En Su Boca a 3.5 rating.

Good food bad service
We went on a Saturday fir an early dinner before the movie.
The deck was almost full since it was a sunny afternoon and inside the bar was full but plenty of table seating. Still the service was slow. The water arrived fast and the waitress was attentive in the end maybe because she sensed I was annoyed in beginning. Assisting three or four other tables before ours including one that arrived about 10 minutes after we did before we good our drink order in… really it wasn’t that busy.
Southern fried fish tacos and Yucatan Pork Pibil tacos were order for a light dinner. Both were wonderful.
The deck area us great to enjoy. The music inside was loud. The beer selection could be better.
They do have some good tacos though if you can over look everything else.

Party in my tummy!!! So yummy, so yummy!
The food is very reasonably priced. The tacos are authentic and taste bud shocking. As stated in previous reviews, I love fish and the fish tacos by far are the BEST! I do not live far and am tempted not to go daily. Actually I am going right now for a margarita, Ta Ta!
